An unassuming small spot in a strip mall... a nice one, I'll say.. I am very familiar with the area, but had no idea about this gem until my friend suggested we meet here for lunch. I'm so glad that she did! Nice, open, and very clean... I love that there are sheets where you can check off what you'd like in your poke bowl.. made it a very easy and quick process. Friendly service and patient with questions. I got kale and zucchini noodles for my base, which I LOVE the kale noodles.. spicy salmon for my protein.. added sweet onion, furikake, a bunch of veggies--I forget lol, topped with their Hawaiian shoyu sauce (so good) and sriracha.. I devoured this VERY fresh meal. Washed it down with a black tea milk latte with boba..not too sweet.. perfect, actually. Their menu offers so much more, so I've already made plans to visit to try their apps, sushi rolls, burrittos, etc. Cannot wait to return!

I was having a poke craving that day and this place definitely satisfied it. The servings were decently proportioned, I hate when poke spots short you on meat. The Shrimp Tempura was hot and made fresh along with the vegetables it came with. So much more to choose from that I'm sure would be great too. I'll definitely be stopping back here before i leave the area.

Amazing sushi. The service was quick and efficient. The ambience screams eat here and the food came out so fast and it was so delicious. Definitely been satisfying. My sushi cravings here lately.

I ordered a veggie poke bowl with kale noodles for take out from here and honestly loved it. The ingredients were fresh and the tofu servings were generous. It was my first time trying kale noodles and if you've never had them I would 100% recommend. They were light and delicious. The whole bowl was filling in a good way. I didn't feel heavy and stuffed like I do after a carb heavy meal. I can't speak to the service and ambiance since I had it as take out but food wise would definitely get again!

This place is awesomeeee we loved the food. My order was Poke bowl - vegetarian - white rice , zucchini noodles, tofu, cilantro, ginger, kimchi, avocado, green onions, crunchy onions, seaweed, spicy Mayo and ginger dressing. Husband got shrimp tempura and chicken, w/ almost the same toppings and same sauces. Asked for a side of spicy sauce as well. Avocado roll was very fresh. The bubble teas were great, probably the best in the Somerset area as there aren't a lot of places that offer bubble tea here. Restaurant is very clean as well. Service was very professional. Would 100% come again.

Food was so fresh and they offer so many options. The boba tea was really good as well.

So happy that we came across Poke Star! To start, ordering is extremely easy as they provide sheets where you can check off each item you'd like in your bowl. This makes it super simple to choose. I can honestly say this is the best Poke bowl I've ever had. The fish is extremely fresh and flavorful, the sauces are very tasty, there are great topping options and they provide generous portions. In terms of ambiance, it is definitely a more casual spot. This is a great place to run in if you need lunch on a break or you're looking for a casual date night spot. Highly recommend!

This place just opened recently and we have gone twice so far. Both times everything has been amazing and so fresh and delish. The staff is incredible and so nice and explain the menu. They have a great variety and are happy to make your own bowl to your specific taste. Today we stopped by and got the P6, P8 and P10, cream cheese wontons and three juices and bubble tee with lychee. Everything was top notch and delish. Stop in and give It a try. Get some takeout and go to nearby colonial park for a poke sushi picnic. Our new favorite spot!

Not hugely impressed with the variety of toppings on offer. Ordered the Create your own - 2 Protein bowl with double portion of the Beef Bulgogi but I didn't find it up to the mark. The beef was really thick and fatty not thin / shredded like Bulgogi is supposed to be and I found something a little off on the sauces I requested - specifically the Spicy Poke Sauce. On the whole it was quite meh! Wouldn't revisit.

Worst poke bowl ever! The fish tasted watered down. The crab rangoon was light and crispy but was just cream cheese.

Service was prompt this time, although it's been a bit inconsistent on previous visits. We ordered: * Two Sushi Lunch Boxes (served with soup and salad): Alaskan roll, two pieces of salmon sashimi, one piece each of tuna, salmon, and red snapper sushi, seaweed salad, and white rice. * One Maki Lunch (Three Roll Lunch), also served with soup and salad. * Ichiban Chicken Fried Rice. The restaurant was quiet during lunch, and our meals arrived quickly. The Sushi Lunch Boxes were fresh and tasty, although nobody seemed to care for the seaweed salad. I wonder if they would allow for a substitution? The maki rolls were well prepared, and the chicken fried rice was light and tasty. Overall, this was a well-executed lunch and a considerably better value than ordering from the dinner menu. We'll definitely be back.

The ramen is just as rich, flavorful, and comforting as the original. We came with high expectations, and both the tonkotsu and spicy miso ramen were as satisfying as ever. That creamy pork broth? Still unbeatable. The spice and depth of the miso? Well balanced. And yes, we definitely got the takoyaki again (some habits shouldn't be broken). One major plus: street parking is way easier here compared to the Bayard St location. No circling the block endlessly or needing to pay metered parking -- we found free parking right out front, which made the whole experience feel way more relaxed. Any downsides? The Easton spot is smaller, with fewer tables and a tighter layout. It feels more like a ramen bar than a sit-down social restaurant, which is fine for a quick meal or a casual date night, but maybe not ideal for bigger groups or a cozier intimate feel. That said, the staff was helpful and attentive, and the ramen quality hasn't skipped a beat. I don't blame the waitstaff at all, as they are very kind, welcoming, and quick, in my experience. First, the food. The quality is fine, but I always find it a red flag when Asian restaurants are run by non-Asian people and there are no Asians in the crowd. "Authentic Korean" is just entirely not true, but I digress. The wings were quite good but expensive, and some of the menu items are absurd. Over $30 for a simple salmon was high to the point where I couldn't even try it to see if it was worth it. The drinks they have available are only high-end costs at mid end quality. I find a $26 New Jersey Riesling elsewhere more interesting than their $30-$56 selections. The soju and sake are insanely marked up and ridiculously priced. The food also takes quite a while to come out, even when they aren't busy at all. Plus, there's an automatic 20% gratuity charge. This didn't bother me, except for the fact that it is not only applied to food but to karaoke rooms. I found this very misleading. People do not expect to pay a 20% service charge on a room booking. This raised the $160/2 hrs to $192, and they refused to budge on this misleading application of the tip. Today, a group of my friends went to the karaoke room. Yesterday, Friday, May 8th, my friend called and they told him it was $55/hr. Today, it was $80/hr. The strange part is, when we said we weren't expecting the high cost, a man (I'm presuming the manager, but I'm not sure) claimed that no one would ever say that, even though a waitress said just minutes before that it was probably the new guy and she was sorry. Then, the man doubled down and said that yesterday, the charge would have been $55 but today (Saturday) it's $80. This makes even less sense to me because, upon checking afterward, the menu clearly says $55 Monday-Thursday, meaning that Friday would be the same cost as Saturday. So he clearly was lying to our faces that yesterday would have been the lower cost. I tried to verify this on the website, but it's so poorly built and disorganized that I can't even find the karaoke cost. I find this business model very confusing. I have no reason not to believe that lying on the phone + not including information on the website is so that people only choose to book the rooms when already inebriated. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Support authentic (half the price!!) Korean restaurants instead.

Overall, it's an affordable and quick place to satisfy your sushi cravings. We got the grilled chicken appetizer, chicken lo mein, one salmon skin hand roll, one salmon and avocado roll, and one eel roll. Each roll came in 6 pieces. Everything also came in styrofoam containers. -Grilled Chicken ($3.99): The chicken was fairly decent. I really liked the yakitori sauce though. Worth the price. -Chicken Lo Mein ($7.99): We thought it was bland and needed either more seasoning or sauce. It was overall average, and the quality of the chicken and noodles was similar to quality of that you can make at home. We added the yakitori sauce from the appetizer, and it was a good choice. -Salmon Skin Handroll ($3.69): I liked the spicy mayo? sauce on the top. But I didn't taste any cucumbers like the menu said it includes. At one point, the skin felt dry and hard to chew. I haven't had salmon skin in a while, so I miss it. -Salmon and Avocado Roll ($3.69): It tastes just like it's supposed to, according to its price. The salmon and avocado were very soft. -Eel Roll ($3.69): It tastes just like it's supposed to, according to its price. I just thought there was way more cucumber than eel, but it's decent. The staff was nice and answered questions throughly. They charge an extra $1 if you choose to pay with card. However, they still have a cash special where depending on how much you spent and if you pay in cash, you'll get a bonus or a couple drinks. If you spend over $11, you can get a can of soda.
