    Spicy Tonkotsu
    Abby C.

I visited Ramenya while in the area and tried the spicy tonkotsu ramen (I removed the egg and pork) and the chicken gyoza. Both were very tasty. The tonkotsu was very salty (to be expected) and the noodles were a bit undercooked, but the flavor was great. The place feels slightly inauthentic compared to other ramen spots but I wasn't disappointed! I'd definitely visit again if I was in the area.

    Pork Buns

This was a part of a mini strip mall with a decent number of tables. The menu had a few sushi rolls along with some appetizers and a number of different types of ramen. The service was friendly, and the food came out fast. For an appetizer, the pork buns and Takoyaki were ordered. The buns had pork belly, shredded lettuce, and some type of sauce I believe. There were two per order. This was not bad. The actual bun was a little tough, but the filing was tasty. I did not think the lettuce was needed when I initially saw it, but I liked the texture with everything else. The Takoyaki was fried octopus with Takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, and bonito flakes. This was alright. The octopus was fried appropriately and there were definitely pieces of octopus present. The combination of the Takoyaki sauce and the Japanese mayo was a nice feature. The bonito flakes I was not a fan of due to the smell. I think it was the flakes anyway. For an entrée, I had the spicy miso. It had pork, bean sprouts, corn, soft boiled egg, and bamboo shot with a spicy chili oil. I believe that was everything. It was solid. I wish it came out a little hotter, but besides that, nicely done. The crispy corn was really good and wished there were more of that, surprisingly. The pork was tender and flavorful as well. The spice factor was noticed but could have been spicier. Overall, it was a comforting meal. Will I go back? Probably.

    Black Jack

The black jack ramen was incredible! A friend and I were in the area and stopped in for a quick ramen fix, not knowing that this was going to exceed our expectations. We both got the same thing and ended up loving it. The broth was everything I needed, creamy, flavorful, but somehow not too spicy. The real star of the show was the pork chashu. I honestly wanted more of everything, but I'll just have to come back and try more things.

Update: I've been here numerous times, and enjoyed it; but my last experience here may just be my last. Friendly service at the start, but the management and the training of the staff needs much improvement - like actually writing down your order vs going off of memory, which i believe is the root cause of this issue. This last experience could have been handled better. They gave me the wrong order, giving me a spicy bowl of Tonkotsu, when I ordered the regular Tonkotsu. The manager and staff defended at how the dish is made, stating that they put spicy chili oil on the regular Tonkotsu. This obviously doesn't make any sense, as the photos and my past orders never had spicy chili oil. This dish was inedible (for me) as I cant eat spicy foods. I left it untouched after only a few bites. Rather than offering to make it right - they offered a measly 25% off my 'next purchase'. The management and staff needs retraining on how to treat customers or update thier menu to say that there is no difference between tonkotsu and spicy tonkotsu.

It may be hot out now but the air conditioning at RamenYa keep it cold enough to enjoy ramen in summer. The ramen continues to be the best in the area! I will note that sometimes staff are less attentive and it takes a while to ask for things. Also had a shrimp bao bun that was missing sauce.

This is the best ramen spot I've ever eaten at. Their menu is great, everything I've tried there has been outstanding. Their manager is super friendly and accommodating. It's a very modern place with a good vibe and the service is very fast. Every time I am in the area, I am making it a point to go here.

Brought my daughter here and she got 3 Temaki, and enjoyed it. They have the chicken karaage now, yum. Just love this place.

I didn't know there was a new ramen spot in Branchburg! I went with a friend and she got the tonkatsu ramen, and I got the veggie curry ramen. I liked the broth in my ramen but I felt like it tasted like maggi noodles to me, and the broth wasn't very hot when it came out. I think next time I'll go with the veggie ramen. RamenYa has good food, definitely worth visiting!

Really enjoyed it. Good ramen and service. Big menu selection. You can bring beer and wine. Would recommend and return.

Even the plating is beautiful. The environment here is very welcoming. Even when it's completely full, the music and conversations are never overly loud. Used to be BYOB but now has a drinks menu and bar. I haven't tried the sake, but the NJ wines are decent. The desserts are limited. The oreo tempura ice cream is interesting though and unique to this location. I wouldn't recommend getting any desserts, though. I'd fully recommend coming here! It's the best sushi in the area.

The woman helping us was sweet but couldn't really explain the dishes well but was helpful if we wanted to make adjustments. We did not know what the tofu dish was and asked for some clarification but was just told it was fried tofu and that it was good. We didn't know what was really on it but we ordered it anyways. We didn't enjoy it but were happy we tried it. I thought my ramen was fine, not my favorite but no complaints. My friend didn't like her ramen so she asked for hot sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce to spice it up and the server was confused at first but was fine bringing it over once we clarified what we wanted. We also didn't love the karaage chicken. All in all, we enjoyed our visit there and appreciated trying something new. They give cute little cat shaped chopstick holders. We will not likely be back because it wasn't to our liking but think it is just personal taste not that the place was bad so we do recommend trying it for yourself. A lot of other people were there and seem to all enjoy their meals and said they come there often.
