Rock Shrimp Tempura
Susie D.

The service was great and super helpful! If you're looking for an affordable, quick bite but still the sit down feels, I recommend this spot. The ambiance is like an underground Japanese cafe. Ordered the shrimp bowl - loved it! My friend ordered ramen and loved it as well. Quantity is enough for one serving / one person - we had no leftovers.

Spicy Miso Ramen

Service was 10/10 The entree we had was the spicy miso soup and it was amazing, better than I expected! The meat was full of flavor, also the noodles had its own flavor too. For dessert was the mango sorbet which was fresh and delicious as well The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and warm, just as you suspect a Japanese home would be Priced far, delicious food, amazing service, it's a place I would gladly comeback for special occasions!

First time here with a party of 5. My son invited us. They live this place. So, a early dinner it was. Small place. Possibly room for 50 people by might be less. So it fills up quickly. Great service all around. Attentive, suggestions, they answer all my first time visitor crazy questions. The food was so good. I had the rock shrimp and chicken. Simply said...DELICIOUS. every bite DEFINITELY, I'll be back

Pork gyoza

Oh my, how come I did not find out about this ramen restaurant earlier? There was a wait for my family when we arrived. Learned that we could join a waitlist on yelp. Will do that next time. We ordered the pork gyoza, and rock tempura shrimp as appetizers. They were so good! Then our black garlic tonkatsu ramen and chicken shoyu ramen arrived. They were heavenly! The soup was so tasty. The noodles were al dente. But the highlight was the soft boiled egg! It was so good! Wait staff were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. We will be back! Highly recommend!

Their vegetarian spicy miso ramen should just be called Spicy Miso Ramen as their hanjuku tamago is prepared with pork. DUH.

I've gone here many times over the years and I recently ate here in May with a small group of friends. They have a good selection of Ramen and some great options for vegan/vegetarians. But my absolute favorite are the sesame tofu bao buns. Those are more of a newer item, but it's my favorite thing to order lately. We sometimes order through DoorDash if we don't feel like dining in. We did pay a bit more with delivery, but it will save you time from finding parking around Bayard Street. If you're dining in with another person or a small group, you'll have to put your name on the waitlist. They will not seat you until all of your party is there. So just let your friends know so they're aware! I really wanted to try the Matcha ice cream, but they only allow you to enjoy it for dine in not carry out. But that will be some thing that I'll look forward to for my next visit. Service was good and not too slow. Quality of the food is always delicious and authentic.

Pork Floss Bao and Takoyaki

I finally made it to Ramen Nagomi in New Brunswick during Restaurant Week, and wow -- what a date night find. The special menu made it the perfect time to explore a few dishes, and every bite delivered. We started with the takoyaki, which came out perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside, with little chunks of tender octopus in each bite. Topped with bonito flakes and a savory drizzle, it was the kind of appetizer that disappears way too fast. For my main, I went with the spicy miso ramen -- and it absolutely hit the spot. The broth had a rich, savory miso base with a deep, warming heat that built as I went, but never overwhelmed. The flavors were bold and layered, and every spoonful had that perfect balance of spice, umami, and comfort. Easily one of the best bowls of ramen I've had in Jersey. My boyfriend ordered the classic tonkotsu ramen, and it was a perfect counterpoint -- creamy, rich pork broth, silky noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth chashu. It's that classic ramen profile done really, really well. He loved it, and we're planning on going back for another dinner date again this same week! The vibe inside was cozy and casual, and even with the Restaurant Week crowd, the service was friendly and smooth. If you're looking for a spot in New Brunswick that delivers flavor and comfort in every bowl, Ramen Nagomi is a must -- especially during Restaurant Week. Don't skip the takoyaki, and definitely bring someone willing to share their ramen!

Food here is really solid. We ordered chicken karaage for appetizer, it was yum. Crunchy outside, juicy inside, with a tasty dipping sauce. Main course we each ordered ramen, my lady got the Tonkotsu, and I got the Spicy Miso. Both of them were very flavorful, great taste, and great noodle texture. Finally, our waiter really went above and beyond to make sure we made our show at the theater next door. He expedited our orders and we were in and out in about 25 minutes. Saved us from missing any of the show! Would definitely go back here if we are in the area again.

Pork Floss Bao

A cute little spot! Not a ton of seating. But the service is incredibly fast. We could've been in and out in less than 45 min but we slow played it a bit as we weren't in a rush before our show. The apps were so good - especially the Pork Floss Bao. I didn't love my Karaage Don as the chicken wasn't white meat and was quite fatty. It also needed more sauce as it's a lot of rice so not super flavorful. My husband loved his ramen though!

Way better location and free parking on street in Sundays!! First time trying miso crab ramen and generous portion of crabmeat and pork best of both worlds meat and seafood and inlcudes egg not extra like most other ramen spots. Full of flavor. There's a good amount of noodle /broth portion size. Service Quick Ambiance only limited tables so I could see a waitlist here quickly on busy nights and weekend .

Burnt Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen

Went here with some folks for lunch. The place is a little small. Also, it gets pretty crowded so you need to make reservations ahead and need to have your full party before you can be seated. Service is nice. Our waiter was very friendly. Food is good. Not the best I've had but my friends enjoyed the ramen a lot. Most of them got the Shoyu Ramen with Chicken and Vegetarian Miso Ramen, and I got the Burnt Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen. I thought the ramen was good but it was lacking a little oomph. Also, the pork belly wasn't as soft as I'd like. We asked for spicy sauce so they gave us a jar where we can add the spicy sauce as much as we want. I added some spicy sauce which gave a little kick. We also ordered some apps like Chicken karagge, inari crispy rice, and veg nuggets. I enjoyed the inari crispy rice (especially the garlic crispy topping). The chicken karage was too fatty for me and the veg nuggets were a little dry but friends enjoyed them. The food overall was tasty.

Spicy Miso Ramen

Umm I might have a slight obsession with this place. I love love love this place! I've been coming here for a year now and I simply cannot get enough. I was never much into ramen until I stepped foot here. The space is small but cozy. There is almost always a full house so make sure you join the Yelp wait list in advance of coming here. What to order: For appetizers- the chicken karage , the spicy tuna crispy rice and the pork floss bao For ramen : the spicy miso ramen (my go to and apparently their most popular ramen). If you don't like too much spicy but want to try it, you can ask for it to be mild or just a bit spicy. Now if you're not into spicy at all, my husband gets the burnt garlic and loves it. You can add additional noodles, mushrooms, even chicken but I get mine just as is and it is filling. The service is always top notch , I feel like home here. If I could give this place 10 stars I would, see you next week!

Kakuni Don

Tonkotsu ramen was delicious. The ramen was al dente. The pork broth was so tasty! The pork belly was so tender. The only thing I didn't like was it was $2 addition of a whole egg! Which the server doesn't tell you! Typical place has the egg included. The portion Saxon the small side for a $19 soup!!! The Kakuni Don was good. The portion was perfect for lunch. The negative was it was on the dry side. Over all, this is a good place for noodles. Pork broth is one of the best! Service was quick. This is the second time we have been here.

Ramen on George St!…read more My husband and I were in the neighborhood and its was really cold. I wanted soup and when passing by Rakkii Ramen, I knew that's what we will have for dinner. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff and sat down looking at the menu. Besides ramen, they also have rice dishes as well. They also have bubbles teas. I ordered tonkatsu ramen and it was delicious. The hot creamy pork both just hits it home for me. I'd definitely come back here again next time to try other dishes. Like many people today, I'm mindful of what I spend dining out, so I expect good value for the price. Since I live in South Jersey, I brought the food home to eat later. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The ramen included four slices of chashu (pork belly), but three of those slices were entirely fat with no meat. I understand that pork belly naturally contains fat--that's part of what makes it flavorful--but receiving pieces that were essentially all fat made the dish unpleasant and felt like poor quality control. I called the restaurant to share my concern, but the response was underwhelming. I was simply told the manager would be informed. When I asked if there was anything further that could be done, I received no real resolution--just a basic explanation of what pork belly is. As someone who understands the product, that explanation missed the point. The issue wasn't what chashu is--it was the quality of what was served. Everything else about the meal was fine, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, customer service matters just as much as the food. A simple effort to address the issue or offer a solution would have made a big difference. As a former business owner, I've always believed customer satisfaction should be a top priority. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and for that reason, I won't be returning.

The ramen is just as rich, flavorful, and comforting as the original. We came with high expectations, and both the tonkotsu and spicy miso ramen were as satisfying as ever. That creamy pork broth? Still unbeatable. The spice and depth of the miso? Well balanced. And yes, we definitely got the takoyaki again (some habits shouldn't be broken). One major plus: street parking is way easier here compared to the Bayard St location. No circling the block endlessly or needing to pay metered parking -- we found free parking right out front, which made the whole experience feel way more relaxed. Any downsides? The Easton spot is smaller, with fewer tables and a tighter layout. It feels more like a ramen bar than a sit-down social restaurant, which is fine for a quick meal or a casual date night, but maybe not ideal for bigger groups or a cozier intimate feel. That said, the staff was helpful and attentive, and the ramen quality hasn't skipped a beat. Their website promised pickup in 20 minutes. I left the The Heldrich Hotel and made the ten minute walk, only to find my order already being bagged. Efficiency like that gives a person hope. Hope, as it turns out, is fragile. Back in the room, I opened the containers immediately. Spicy beef noodles with hand pulled noodles in a beef and pork broth, along with steamed pork soup dumplings that had been spoken of with reverence online. The dumplings were cold. Not warm, not cooling. Cold, like they had been waiting longer than I had. They had fused together into a single tragic mass. When I tried to separate them, the dough tore open and the soup filling spilled out into the container, abandoning its purpose. How this happened during a ten minute walk is a mystery. The more likely answer is that it did not. The noodles were at least hot. The flavor was fine. Not offensive, not memorable, just present. You eat it, and it disappears from your mind almost immediately. This is a place people seem to love, which makes the experience feel like a clerical error in the matrix. Perhaps it was an off night. Perhaps I caught them at the exact wrong moment, but on this particular evening, dinner felt less like a meal and more like a misunderstanding.
