This order was picked up and ready upon arrival. The menu had a number of different sushi rolls along with bento boxes, teriyaki dishes, curries, etc. There were 5 different rolls tried and they are described below. All of the rolls were relatively small. New York ($8.25) - This consisted of salmon, cucumber, avocado, and a shrimp crunch with masago. This was okay, just not a lot of flavor here. Bridgewater ($14.95) - This was spicy tuna, with avocado and topped with seared pepper tuna. I was looking forward to this roll the most, but it was decent at best. The tuna was not spicy and the roll was just plain. Flamingo ($12.95) - This was comprised of spicy salmon along with fresh salmon. This was my favorite one by far. I liked the combinations of the 2 salmons. Golden Dream ($12.95) - This had shrimp tempura topped with mango and served with a pineapple sauce. This was alright, but do not believe there was any type of sauce present, which could have made the roll more appetizing. Alaska ($5.75) - This was similar to the New York Roll, without the shrimp protein, decent again. Will I go back? I did not actually attend. I do not think I would though. read more

I ordered from this place on DoorDash. I ordered the pork ramen and the sushi/sashimi dinner. This place is priced about 50-100% hire than any other place for the same roll. The nigiri and sashimi pieces are half the size so you're essentially paying 3x anywhere else. The fish isn't fresh. One piece was extremely fatty and should have been discarded but they decided to keep it and use it as a piece of fish for customers. Absolutely disgusting. The ramen has less flavor than a cup of noodles for $1.12 at ShopRite. The pork disintegrates because it's so over cooked and the egg isn't even marinated in soy sauce. Only pro is that the food came quick. Overall this place is a joke. read more

Beware....they will hand you a dinner menu during lunchtime, which does not have the lunch specials in it. What a sneaky way to do business!!!!!!!!! Very shady and dishonest. Overpriced for the small amount you receive. Oh, not to mention a black hair was on my plate. read more

I never like to leave a negative review however, I appreciate honest reviews when deciding where to dine. Had I not been starving I would've headed over to Somerville, the location of my favorite Japanese restaurants, but I needed to eat something soon, I was in the area, and sushi was on the brain. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, as someone who loves sushi I would never recommended Masa. I ordered my go to dish which is the Sushi Regular Entree and I'm sad to say that both the portions and the quality were disappointing. I wish I had waited 15 minutes longer and drove down the road for a meal that would've left me satisfied and wanting more. I won't be returning however, I wish this business well and I hope they survive and even one day thrive. read more

I was very excited to see this restaurant on door dash as I love sushi but no one delivers out this way. Ordered from here for the first time- got a designer roll and a two roll special. The rolls were all disgusting. The designer roll was supposed to have avocado and crab inside (crab missing) and spicy tuna with mango on top. The tuna tasted old and the mango was crunchy and dry as if it was left out. I spit it out! The sweet potato rolls were way overcooked and tasted burnt, the sauce on top was paste. Just moved into the area and ordered takeout. This review is based on takeout only, and sushi rolls. This is probably one of the most unmemorable places to get sushi rolls I can think of. The rolls are small, have less pieces (6 vs 8) for a typical roll, and really do not look desirable. I knew right away when I opened my takeout this was nothing like my go to place back home. No where near same quality, amount of fish, or flavor. Reviews were mixed on yelp but I took a shot since I was in the mood for sushi rolls, but total miss here. We ordered takeout from here. The food arrived quickly but left much to be desired. The miso soup tasted like the miso was old and dusty. The rolls were overly sauced, maybe to mask the sub quality fish being used? Each roll that had tuna in it tasted like it was prepare in a silicone mat that had been washed with lighter fluid. I discovered this place from a good friend who had parents that used to own the restaurant. Now with different owners, the food is still just as great in my opinion. I was introduced to their sweet potato roll which is heavenly delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this!Every time since I have ordered it! Their California rolls are very good too. They have a picture book of their specials which was really nice to see because you could see what the food looked like and how it was presented. Some are really neat! We tried the "dreamboat" which consisted of crab meat, zucchini tempura, and some other ingredients. It was very tasty, we will definitely order again. You must try the "mochi" ice cream. Everyone should experience this. It has a chewy texture on the outside and has a solid flavor inside. My favorites are the mango and vanilla bean. They are no bigger than an Oreo cookie and a great way to end your meal. The fried ice cream is also yummy, they drizzle chocolate sauce over it. Worst Japanese food I have ever had. The rolls were tiny, dry and the flavors were messed up. The Miso soup was so bad I couldn't stomach more than the first taste. My daughter took a sip and spit it out. This is the 2nd time we try this place - deciding to give it the benefit of the doubt since we had a bad experience the 1st time (pre-Covid) with rude service and sub par food. Ordered the California roll dinner (= 3 rolls or 18 pieces!), fried shrimp dumplings and shrimp tempura. The food was plentiful, hot and ready quickly! Since we can only do curbside now, cannot rate anything but quality of the food which we were very happy with. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out! Very disappointed with the pricing. I was suggested a roll that was not on the menu based on what I said I liked. Spicy salon with mango inside and salmon and kiwi on top. I also asked for salmon sashimi. Bill came up to $18. That made sense to me. Turns out the roll itself was $18!! When their lobster roll was $17...is a salmon roll really worth the $18?! read more

This place USED to be good with the previous owners many years ago... I was there several times recently and I would tell you to stay away from this place and here is why..... The quality of the fish is OK but not wow this is fresh.... The rolls are small and fall apart which means they don't know what they are doing. When you walk in the place a has a strong smell of fish which shouldn't be if the fish is extremely fresh. Their oil in the fryer is rancid because you can smell it when you walk in also, even tempura items have a nasty rancid oil taste. I have been here a couple of times to have them redeem themselves and they have produced the same disappointment.. What to do... Goto Mr. Pi's in warren which is only about a 10 minute ride from this place. Its well worth it to go there b/c you get better quality food and its a better value. A $14.95 roll at this place is like a $6.99 roll at wegmans, but the sad part is the wegmans tastes fresher and is made correctly. A $14.95 roll or more will be a better value at Mr. Pi's b/c the quality and size of the roll will be far superior to anything you will ever get at Masa. read more

Very deceptive menu. We ordered 2 rolls off the special board (pictured) that we thought were $7.95. As it turned out those tiny marks we thought were $ signs were actually 1's, and our lunch bill was $20 more then we thought. Will never return die to this deceptive business practice. read more

Not at all appetizing. Just move the area and this was the closest spot to me. I eat sushi about once a week and this was my worst sushi ever. I bought a couple rolls and some salmon sashimi. All of the food was really good, and the salmon was GREAT! The pricing is very very worth it in my opinion, it is the best pricing I've seen for sushi. 100% would recommend, I'm definitely come back. We're pretty much regulars at Masa Sushi. It's a decent sushi restaurant with a typical Japanese menu. The sushi quality is good, but I wouldn't say excellent. We've had good and less than average dinners here but we keep coming back because they're one of the closer sushi restaurants to us and they're reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and attentive and they're good with our kids. They've also been very careful when we've specified that our son is allergic to shellfish and he hasn't had any reactions to their food. Their lunch menu is actually better than their dinner menu. This is one of the only sushi restaurants I've found that lets you pick 2 or 3 rolls from a pretty diverse list, served with salad and soup for a very reasonable price. Their specialty rolls are pretty good, though we tend to stick to their maki and sushi dinners at night because they offer a nice variety in those set dishes. If you have a craving for sushi, this place is worth a try. I would pick this over Hanami and Domo sushi. The quality is about equivalent between the three but the prices are better at Masa and I like the atmospher better too. read more

Candy is really good for the establishment. She brings fun to the table. The beef and shrimp wonton was tasty. I guess very good, because I ate them all The pineapple rice with chicken and shrimp was so good. The perfect amount of chunks of very sweet pineapple with a lot of shrimp and chicken. The generous portion was to much for me to finish. I decided late to get some chicken wings to go and have for later. Definitely a place I'll return too. The owner stopped by the table for a hot second.

We didn't enjoy it but were happy we tried it. I thought my ramen was fine, not my favorite but no complaints. My friend didn't like her ramen so she asked for hot sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce to spice it up and the server was confused at first but was fine bringing it over once we clarified what we wanted. We also didn't love the karaage chicken. All in all, we enjoyed our visit there and appreciated trying something new. They give cute little cat shaped chopstick holders. We will not likely be back because it wasn't to our liking but think it is just personal taste not that the place was bad so we do recommend trying it for yourself. A lot of other people were there and seem to all enjoy their meals and said they come there often.

My personal favorite is the Spicy Miso Ramen; it's the perfect balance of richness and heat, accompanied by incredibly tender pieces of slow-braised pork belly. I also love that you can fully customize your bowl with different toppings to make it exactly to your taste. You also cannot skip their appetizers. This time we ordered the Rock Shrimp Tempura, which was fried to perfection without overcooking the shrimp, and the sauces were the perfect addition. You also need to try their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, the Bao Buns, and my absolute favorite: the Ika Geso Karaage, which comes with the most delicious mayo dipping sauce. The cozy ambiance perfectly complements the food, and the service is always attentive. It's a BYOB spot, which is a nice touch, and they'll provide glasses upon request. Since they don't take reservations, make sure to add yourself to the Yelp waitlist so you don't have to wait too long to try this amazing food!

The noodles were over cooked so it ate like spaghetti. the protein wasn't packaged in the broth so it was just steamed season-less chicken. Everything seems fresh but will probably never order again or visit based off the simplicity of good ramen.
