After Grumpy Bobas in downtown Somerville closed, my husband and I ventured to find our next go-to boba spot. We discovered Twisted Boba on Yelp and had to give it a try! Twisted Boba is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the strip mall right before Gabriel's Fountain in Martinsville if you're coming from Chimney Rock Road with both being on your left side. The inside is very spacious with some tables for dining in and a cute Instagram-worthy wall. The owner was also very friendly and said that he was open to feedback if there are any improvements he can make. I love that! I REALLY enjoyed my taro bubble tea! It was so milky with great authentic flavor and bouncy tapioca! Grumpy also didn't have a taro flavor so it's great having a new local spot to get my taro fix :) I also love that they have a rewards system to get free boba on your 10th purchase!! I'll definitely be back to take advantage of that lol

This was my first time having boba and this place great! Came here on a week night and it was pretty slow and then picked up! There was plenty of parking and they were open pretty late. They also have light bite offerings and soft serve. I got the passion fruit tea lemonade with popping boba and it was the perfect balance of not being too sweet or bitter. Love that they also gave a punch card for future visits!

My favorite boba place ever!!! Twisted boba is literally my go-to local boba place. Boba nowadays is often overpriced and not done right, but Twisted Boba knows what they're doing!!! So delicious, especially yhe ice cream. 10/10‼

Bubble tea is really good and not too sweet, it was perfect! Fries were a yummy accompaniment for a late night treat , an unexpected but really good combination

It's a short walk away, and they are now in Epic Cookies' old location. This new space is bigger and more front and center. A lot of people did not realize that their old location was even there on Division Street, until I took them there. They just opened this location about three days ago, so it was pretty busy when I visited today, and even Karin and her husband were in there helping out! Both very kind people! I came in for my favorite "Death by Chocolate" cupcake and was excited to try two new flavors, Coconut Guava and Lemon Raspberry. I usually check their website ahead of time to see what seasonal cupcakes they have before visiting, I saw those and rush over here. P.s. please bring back the Versailles Cupcake from Summer '25! That raspberry filling is heaven sent, and part of the reason why I came by to try the Lemon raspberry flavor! Even with the rush, the staff was just as friendly as always. I really love it here and always bring my family and friends when they are in town! I'll definitely miss the charm of the old location, but I'm excited for them in this new space and hope that it works out well for them!

We all thought it was unfortunately too dry and pretty tasteless. Later on we tried the Irish Soda bread which we did not particularly like as well. That too was very dry and kind of crumbly. The coating of flour on top was too much and left a dryness in my mouth. It was not a good experience for me and I'm not sure if I'll ever go back.

Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!

(My fav color) Tons of ube and pandan and coconut goodies that go beyond your basic desserts, it truly was so hard to choose. My family doesn't eat eggs and I wanted to bring back something for them and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful at directing me towards suitable desserts. Also love that it seemed like a small family owned operation I opted for the calamansi drink which was perfect for a 90 degree spring day and a pandan coconut pudding to bring home. I wish the pudding was a bit less sweet (I tend to dislike overly sweet things) but overall, this is the most extensive filipino dessert place I've found in the tri- state area and I will be back if I'm around somerville again
