Absolutely insane. I will be back. That soft serve with the chia is Something ELSE. Highly recommend. This is a gem the matcha was delish too and my friend enjoyed her strawberry foam drink. This is the spot trust. Fast service
Came back to junbi, left with a mediocre matcha. They just opened with the golden peach series so i got a golden peach blended matcha. It has a very weak matcha flavor nor is there a peach taste. Tasted like a semi sweet matcha slush. But in the bright side, they have these cute miffy cup sleeves now!
Came all the way from NY to try Junbi and sadly, it did not live up to the hype. I had high hopes for both the drinks and riceball and although the drinks were good, it was not phenomenal. The riceball on the other hand was just terrible. It was mold into a triangle and a seaweed was provided so you can DIY yourself. Once I took the riceball out of the bag, everything fell apart. The rice did not hold together and it was just very messy to eat. I would not recommended this as a to go snack.
One of the best mango Matcha's ! Delicious matcha with an extensive menu and wonderful options to customize. The cutest photo op place and they had a Polaroid wall to add a Polaroid to it that they take of you there. It was so cute and loved the vibes. Very popular and quick service.
A fantastic spot for matcha-based boba drinks. It's a staple in the community. Service is generally pretty fast, and there's plenty of seating (though may be occupied with students doing work). Nice ambience and generally pretty clean. There are also small hires available here, like onigiri and sandwiches. I love the variety of selections here and the creativity of the seasonal drinks. My go-to order is the iced dirty matcha (two shots of espresso) with boba. The blend of flavors from the espresso and matcha are my favorite!
Refreshing drinks. My husband and I both enjoyed our drinks very much. I got the strawberry matcha and he got the orange drink which tasted like creamsicle. It came with a cute little cup sleeve
I ended up checking out this spot because they had a collaboration with MIFFY and I really wanted to pick up the MIFFY cup. The service was mediocre as they messed up the milk in my drink but it was still decent. If I'm craving a sweetened matcha drink I would definitely check this place out again but it is a bit more pricier since it's a specialized matcha spot.
Usually character collabs are only in the west coast so I was soo excited to see that there was a Miffy collab on the east coast that's not in New York. I got the orange creamsicle matcha latte and my partner got the blended orange creamsicle. Many times when there's a collab company's won't put in too much thought and use the name to sell product but I could tell there was a lot of thought put in. The offerings were unique and worked well together - never thought orange and matcha could complement each other. Drinks came out pretty fast, a bit pricey but they seemed to use high grade ingredients and use eco friendly packaging.
It was a cold day in Princeton and I loved my warm strawberry matcha drink I asked for it with coconut milk and cold foam and my soul was happy. I could taste what I think was strawberry pulp almost tasted like watermelon. Definitely something different but tasty. The place was cute and the barista was helpful . Thanks Junbi
I was super excited to see this boba chain hit the East Coast. I ordered the matcha latte with 0% sugar level and no ice. I would have preferred it if there was a choice of a smaller size. Don't know why the drinks are so large these days. I feel like I am forced to pay a higher price for something that only comes in one size. After placing the order, it was ready in less than a minute. In other words, it is probably premade. Interior is old and not that inviting. Service was alright, and so was the drink. Tastes like a watered down matcha latte even though it is made with oat milk. Will not be returning.
Visited here the second time and it was just as good as the first. I really enjoyed my Cold Strawberry Matcha Latte. The perfect blend of strawberry and matcha flavors. My friend ordered the Spiced Hojicha Latte w/ Vanilla Cold Cap but asked for no pumpkin spice. Her drink was stronger on the hojicha flavor and a light espresso flavor at the end. It was a good combo, we never had hojicha latte before... different but good!
Cute hang out bubble tea spot. The tea menu is a little different from your typical boba place. There are a lot of matcha flavored variations. The add-one are a little more unique too, with almond jelly being a stand out. My kids said the bubble tea is really good. The place is pretty spacious, with seating and tables. There are a couple of self serve kiosks where you can order your drinks.
Soft serve is matcha perfect! I've not been able to get past ordering other items on the menu other than the the soft serve. This soft serve has a great matcha flavor that really comes through even with a cold taste. As far as the sweetness level, it's just perfect to complement the matcha. Each serving is also a solid portion leaving you not wanting much more. I'd like to try other items on the menu because there are other items I'd like to try that look just as perfect. They also have a limited selection of popular Doughnut Plant doughnuts as well. They didn't identify them as such in my first visit but I clearly recognized them, given the fact I've had more than my fair share. On my visits, staff service was pleasant with good advice. Seating in the dining area was available and inviting with free WiFi.

This was matcha latte #2 of the day (iced mango matcha with boba). I am going to try to recreate this in my kitchen since I don't live near this place and it was so good. The coconut milk flavor didn't overpower the matcha flavor like in my last DIY attempt. I took my order to go but I noticed that the café was very quiet and clean and had a lot of seating space for working and gathering. read more
A little shop specializing in flavored matcha drinks (strawberry is good) and they do have a little regular bubble tea (but I would pass on that- it's not as good as other shops). They have cute tea glasses but it's ... a blind box. For $35+. Nope, pass on that. Overpriced, yes. But it is Princeton area. read more

Pleasantly surprsied with matcha taste and no clumps. Not sure if they whisk it or have a pre-made batch. The other drinks were very good and I would come back again to try more. The inside is a bit dark but there are tables for hanging out and doing some light computer work if you'd like. read more

A beautiful colorful and bright spot. The place is specious and there is lots of seating. There are two screens to order from (you can also order up front as well). They have a lot of options such as slurpees, matcha lattes, teas, rice balls & matcha ice cream. I tried the strawberry jasmine tea which was a nice refreshing drink and did not take long to recieve. I'd like to come back and explore the other options on the menu. read more

Junbi is such a good place to study or just chill inside with friends. The interior is so pretty and brightly lit. They have free wifi and decent amount of seating but can be filled up as they get busy sometimes. The cashiers are always so kind and if you go before 10am, drinks are half off!! I usually go for the Jasmine tea drinks, I think they're better than the matcha drinks they serve but I just may be bias :) read more

Really liked the soft serve with strawberry syrup. Wish the syrup wasn't so warm/hot though since the soft serve came largely melted. Can only guess that it's the syrup at fault. Quality matcha. Really liked it. I got the rose matcha milk tea with lychee topping, subbed in oat milk. Seems like they used real lychee so that was interesting. Good Rose flavor but I don't think it's for me. The combo of rose water and oat milk made it more watery than I would like. Just opt for milk or just be aware this drink is on the more watery side. Mixed in some soft serve and it was a lot better. Edit: revisited the menu and seems like the latte options are the way to go if you're looking for a more milk forward drink. Really nice interior and ample seating. Ordered from the tablet so no staff interaction. Wasn't a long wait for my order. read more

Great matcha from here! Would highly recommend the strawberry matcha and almond jelly. The new taro vanilla matcha drink is also quite good- a bit too heavy on the vanilla imo but great taro flavor. The boba quality isn't the most consistent (there have been a few times where it was on the harder side of chewy) but is great on a good day. Drinks tend to be on the sweeter side (even if you order less sugar level) so be aware of that. Service is fast and the guy at the counter today was super nice and helpful! Very fun, bright vibe to the inside space. During the school year, it's usually quite crowded, but if you can snag a table, it's a perfect place to hang out with friends. read more

Love love loved the products! We had the matcha soft serve and finished it in a few minutes, gobble gobbled it right up. My body wanted more and my mind said more also. This is a must try. I also ordered the salmon rice ball. Turns out it's a spicy rice ball. It didn't say so in the menu though otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. I would not be raving about their balls. For drinks we had the rose water matcha, hibiscus tea and the strawberry matcha. Both are good picks. The relaxed ambiance was countered by patrons constantly swatting away fruit flies. They're all over the wall and this gets annoying real quick. The staff is friendly and helpful, I asked for a cup of hot water and a cup of ice and they were very nice. read more

TLDR: By far the best tea spot in the area. Quality ingredients and great matcha. I got a matcha soft serve with coconut flakes. The smooth ice cream has the signature grassy matcha flavor followed by a refreshing sweetness. I've been coming here for the various matcha teas since they opened, and they've been great. The shop is ok for hanging out or light studying/ work, but the music is a bit loud. read more

TLDR- plenty of seating, refreshing matcha drinks, seating area could be a bit more cleaner I'm so glad that Junbi puts matcha first! Don't get me wrong, I love the classic green tea and black tea bobas but it's just so refreshing to see matcha featured in so many drinks. My drink: I got one of their classics: Cold Strawberry Matcha w/ Milk: less sugar, no ice, with boba. The drink is really aesthetic with its 3 layers, but you need to shake it up before you drink it! I love the balance of the strawberry with the matcha. The matcha flavor is pretty light but you get the distinct bitterness from the matcha after each sip. I love that the strawberry part tastes a bit like a classic strawberry jam and lightly sweetens the tea. The boba was perfectly QQ! Vibes: - plenty of seating for studying or grabbing some drinks with friends - good lighting and inside and plenty of sunshine coming in from the window in the front - AC is on a bit too high for me - music is on pretty loud - I came here a few months ago and the place was cleaner! Now there are a few stains on the seat cushions and the floors are a bit dirty around the seating area. Perhaps this place was a bit more busy today. Overall I really like this place! I've followed the investors of Junbi for the longest time and when I heard that they finally opened a location on the East Coast, I was so excited to try. Unfortunately, I think my expectations were just too high because I didn't think my experience was that great. My boyfriend got the strawberry matcha with boba and the strawberry was so overpowering that we couldn't even taste the matcha tea. I got the madagascar vanilla matcha with boba; I think it was okay. Again, the flavor kind of took over the matcha tea. I wish there was more of a balance. Lastly, we tried their spam & egg rice ball. It was so small and it was probably 75% rice and 25% filling. Not worth the price at all. read more
I've followed Junbi via Instagram from their original west coast location, and was excited to visit their latest franchise in Princeton. This tea shop specializes in a variety of premium matcha drinks, which are nothing like the green tea/matcha lattes you get at Starbucks or other tea or coffee shops. The matcha is strong yet smooth, and the different combos complement the tea so perfectly. I had the yuzu dragonfruit and loved the sweet citron flavors. I came way back during their opening weekend and there were a few small hiccups with my two orders. Regardless, I know they're working out some of the kinks - I'll be back to try their drinks again! read more
Junbi is a trendy bubble tea cafe located in the heart of Downtown Princeton that specializes in matcha based drinks. Upon entering, the decor is very zenlike and it seemed like it was a great hang out spot! For ordering, they have a self-service kiosk at the front or you can order at the stand where a staff member will take your order. I decided to order the strawberry jasmine tea...all the drinks came in a standard size and I was pleasantly surprised by how large my drink was! The staff also asked about sweetness and ice level and I went with the standard options. Though my drink was aesthetically pleasing (almost looks like a sunset!), it was waaaay too sugary for me where I only ended up finishing half of it. I'd probably go with the lowest/no sugar level next time. They also have limited options for food and coffee where I only saw rice balls and latte/espressos being served on the menu.
