Great prices & very friendly service. I had the cheesesteak and it was really great! I loved that the bread was so incredibly fresh and the steak also tasted fresh - loved that it wasn't dried out thin slices like I've gotten at other places. Hope this place will continue on for years to come!

My first visit to Theresa's was a quick order to go. For my second visit, we dined in. My to-go order was Theresa's panini. Obviously I enjoyed it, otherwise I wouldn't have returned. For the second visit, my wife ordered the Italian panini while I decided to try the tuna cheddar melt. Both were delicious and just enough to fill us up. Theresa's is a quaint little spot one block away from Main Street. There are about a dozen tables inside and they were nearly at capacity the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Breakfast review. We had business in Flemington on Friday. We chose this restaurant and unfortunately we were disappointed. The staff were pleasant and greeted us at the counter. We ordered and sat at a table. We ordered the pancakes and an omelette with potatoes. The pancakes came out burnt on one side and the omelette was terrible. The omelette had barely any vegetables in it and was so well done that I couldn't eat it. Toast was so cold that the butter that was on it didn't melt. I saw that the reviews were good and that is why I chose this restaurant. We must've been there on a very off day. The place was not crowded and it looked to me as if we were the only people they were cooking for at the time.

This restaurant is located on a quiet side road just off of Main St. Flemington. It has plenty of parking in the adjacent lot and a cute little seating area with umbrellas outside. There's plenty of seating indoors as well. The space is very bright with large windows. You place your order at the counter inside. The coffee is self serve but they will bring your food to your table when it's ready. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I got "Bruce's Scrambled Eggs which comes with cream cheese, crumbled bacon and chives. Sounded weird to my friend but it turned out to be delicious. It came with fried potatoes. The portion size was ok for me but might be disappointing to someone with a bigger appetite. The downside to this place is that the interior looks a little run down. It could really use a facelift/freshening up, ESPECIALLY in the bathroom (which is tiny). That would make a huge impact for me and would take rating up a star. However, that doesn't seem to bother people much as they seem to have a very loyal following and they're steadily busy. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items and just to support this local business because the food and staff were great and there aren't many breakfast places in town.

I was a loyal customer for over SIX YEARS, stopping in several times a week. While the staff seemed…read moreto change constantly, one thing never did--the owner's rude, dismissive attitude. After my most recent experience, I'll never be back. I called in an order for a long-roll turkey sandwich that I was planning to split with my uncle, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. The young employee who answered the phone struggled to repeat my order back to me, so I made sure to clearly state that I wanted it on a long roll. When I got home--25 MINUTES AWAY--I discovered the sandwich had been made on a small round roll instead. Since we were splitting it, there was a huge difference between a 12-inch long roll and a small round roll. I immediately called the deli, explained the mistake, and the woman who answered (who I had spoken with many times before) apologized and told me they would take care of it by giving me a discount the next time I came in. Two days later, after taking my uncle to one of his cancer treatments, I stopped in expecting them to honor what I had been told. Instead, the owner (who identified himself as "Ed") approached me with an attitude and immediately said, "What are you looking for? It's the same price for a long roll or a short roll. I run a business here, and there's nothing I'm going to do about it." I explained that it wasn't about the money. I even showed him pictures of the sandwich and reminded him that I had been a loyal customer for years. He interrupted me, saying his employee claimed I ordered a short roll and repeated that he wasn't doing anything because he "runs a business." He then added, "You come in here all the time, but I have a lot of loyal customers." When I explained that I had called immediately after getting home because I live 25 minutes away, I was told that if I had brought the sandwich back, they would have corrected it. That wasn't a realistic option. I wasn't about to leave my uncle, who is battling cancer, and drive 50 minutes round trip because their employee made the sandwich incorrectly. Any business that genuinely values its customers would understand that and make a reasonable effort to fix the mistake the next time I came in--especially after one of their own employees had already promised they would. Instead, the owner dismissed the entire situation and treated me like I was asking for something unreasonable. This was never about trying to get something for free. I simply expected the business to stand behind its mistake. Even replacing the bread or honoring what I had been promised would have been enough. Instead, I was spoken to with disrespect, talked down to, and treated like my years of loyalty meant absolutely nothing. At the end of the conversation, I told the owner, "You just lost a loyal customer, and I don't appreciate the way you're talking to me." His response was simply, "Well, that's too bad." That one statement summed up exactly how he feels about the people who support his business. After spending thousands of dollars there over the past six years, I was shocked by how I was treated over something so simple. The owner's attitude alone was enough to lose my business. Looking back, convenience was really the only reason I kept going there. The chips are often stale from sitting out all day, and on multiple occasions I've personally seen employees handling food without gloves. I overlooked those things because the location was convenient, but after the way I was treated, I have absolutely no reason to return. He didn't just lose one loyal customer. After sharing this experience with several friends who also frequented this deli, many of them said they only went there because it was convenient as well and have decided they'll be taking their business elsewhere. SIX YEARS OF LOYALTY WASN'T WORTH CORRECTING ONE SIMPLE MISTAKE. THAT TELLS YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HOW THIS BUSINESS VALUES ITS CUSTOMERS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT APPRECIATES THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP THEM IN BUSINESS.

I stopped into TJ's Deli & Grill for lunch early in the afternoon while I was in the area…read more It was very quiet when I arrived, with only one other customer inside, so ordering was quick and the food came out without much of a wait. I went with a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, and sliced red onion, along with a side of curly fries and a bottle of Gold Peak iced tea from the refrigerator. The burger was cooked medium well, as I asked, and had good flavor. The toppings were fresh and balanced things out nicely. The curly fries were very similar to A&W style, crispy with a good seasoning. The inside is your typical deli setup. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional. Overall, a solid, no-frills lunch spot. If you're in the area and want something quick and straightforward, it gets the job done.

Several menus to choose from there is bound to be something to pique your taste buds interest. Order at the counter to go or eat in. Smiles behind the counter are eager to answer any questions you may have and the promptly prepare your food while you wait. A wide variety of coffees and teas for self service along with sugars creamers and the like. We opted for a wrap special that includes mushroom, spinach, ham and tomato and the infamous belly buster sandwich. Both worth way more than their meager price tags. Flavorful and filling 2 hot drinks. Two sandwiches and a side of bacon out the door at $21.00 not too bad. TJ's is definitely not a full service restaurant nor does it claim to be. A fast food option that's sure to satisfy. Will we trek the hour to revisit, most likely not but if local we would surly add it to our list of go to spots. Be sure to check it out when in Flemington NJ
