Sunshine wrap
Christine C.

A charming, diner style restaurant on an adorable Main Street! I stopped by for a quick lunch, and let the server know I only had thirty minutes. She was very accommodating. I got the Sunshine wrap (apparently a favorite,) and it was tasty and well-priced. The parking lot behind the restaurant is an added bonus. A cute, friendly and nostalgic spot worth visiting for your next casual meal.

Stuffed French toast is I recall.

I like this place. I don't hit it up that often, but when I do it's always good. Just their basic menu is creative without needing to worry the specials (do they even have them, they must...).

Food is just OK, service is usually friendly, health issues has them closed a lot, so unreliable.

Chimney Rock Inn Flemington - Buffalo Shrimp. Delicious

Chimney Rock Inn Flemington

Chimney Rock: I don't know what they're trying to be. Part of it says "pizza place", but it does…read moreNOT feel like a pizza place inside. Bar area, huge restaurant... this is a diner. Or a buffet that no longer buffets. But pizza is a big part of their menu and a lot of people order it. I can tell you, from sight alone... I wouldn't call it pizza. It's cheese, toppings, and an extremely flat crust that I can only imagine crunches to smithereens. So I went very much with not pizza. Fortunately, the menu goes many other directions. I got a hot chicken sandwich with Cajun fries, basically regular fries with a little seasoning sprinkled on (not baked in). Took a little while to get to us, but once it did, I was impressed with the spice level. This is not for the faint of tongue. The fries were perfectly cooked, but I would say just get plain fries if that's your vibe. I could have upgraded to onion rings or similar, wasn't feeling quite hungry enough for that venture. Verdict: I don't know. It's not a diner. It's not a pizzeria. Definitely seemed kid-friendly. I think my date liked this place more than I did. So again, I'll go with the balance and stick 4 stars on the wall. Could return, not sure what else in Flemington might attract (seems fairly restaurant-barren).

The food here is to-die for, and is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. I have friends who visit from out of town who specifically request to go to Blue Fish during their stay! The prices are great for the quality of the food. I always opt for the build-your-own entree. This time, I chose the brisket with a side of the caramelized plantains, but I also often go with the chicken, steak, or salmon with the pesto butter. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. The staff are very kind and the service is quick. The interior is modern and up-to-date, paralleled by its brick historic vibe exterior, as the Stangl Factory building was once a pottery/ceramic factory. Now, the building is home to Blue Fish Grill, as well as a number of other businesses including an artist-owned gallery, a large pottery studio, a medium, and a yoga and physical therapy studio. Stangl also hosts a weekly artisan farmers' market and bi-monthly live music and art events. It really is a growing creative community. Blue Fish Grill doesn't have a bar, but they do allow BYOB. If you find yourself in the Flemington area, be sure to grab a bite at Blue Fish! It will surely be a meal to remember.

From the moment we parked our cars, everyone was so kind and welcoming. It was warm and I have never felt so at home in any establishment. We had dedicated servers and if I could have packed them in a bag and taken them home with me, I would have! They spoke to each of the guests with love and that kind of grace that you find when you visit yoir favorite aunts in a cozy cottage. They menu was perfection. Choosing a tea felt impossible but each of us got something catered to our taste. I would go back just try something new each week. The soups and salads were great and the sandwiches were fresh and you could tell they were made that morning. To the staff, I just want to thank you all do much for making my mothers experience wonderful. She was so happy and it's everything we hoped it would be. If i could give a sixth star I would, i almost don't want to leave 5 stars simply because I'd want to keep this place a secret. Teasberry deserves all the success because they really make the visit into a beloved memory.

I'm looking forward to going back and trying some non afternoon tea menu items!

Mr Pops - Affogato

I got a caramel latte which was flavored exactly to my preference! The caramel was not too sweet, didn't taste artificial and the double espresso was roasted perfectly. At the chocolate counter, I order a few different items. Just about all the chocolate is made in house (including the springtime/Easter specials)! The only items not made by in house are the peanut/peanut butter containing items (which are kept in a separate case). These items are sourced from Asher's Chocolate Co. Mr. Pops does this to ensure all of the chocolates made on site are 100% peanut free. The ambiance is quaint. Mr. Pops is decorated to elicit memories of a chocolate shop of old. I spoke with owner Tim who added to the pleasure of the experience. I am excited to return soon to Mr. Pops where I anticipate trying something cooler as the weather warms! In the corner of Mr. Pops I spotted an ice cream case... I hope this is an indication of ice cream and/or gelato coming in the near future. I would love to try an affogato from Mr. Pops! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Couch is comfy, but floor plan in the back area is a bit awkward, you go down some hallways to get to bathroom and pass some lonely candy shelves. Chocolate quality is so-so, it lacks a richness and cocoa bite. Ice cream flavors are very interesting and strong. I got the banana cookie ice cream in my affogato and, while I wish there was more ice cream, it was QUITE good. My wife didn't want all the caffeine from hers, so I walked out 320mg of caffeine richer. Would return for ice cream and ambiance.
