One of the best Italian sandwiches I have had in a long time! This beast was the Mimma w/ a Chicken Cutlet and Roasted Peppers added!

As seen from walking in. May not look like much but your not here to eat the scenery!

This place really pissed me off! There Lasagna is better than mine and is going to force me to buy there's before even thinking about making my own. I am also hurt that I have been driving past this place for years and never knew. (Where is the flashing neon sign, Eat here first then go shopping.) There is no eating on premises, Good thing too! I might look for a room out back so I did not have to go so far to buy more. Keep up the great work you two!

We ordered a half sub bella Elisa and they charged us $18 when a whole sub costs $22. Totally a rip off!

I had a craving for carbonara since it is not commonly seen on menus anymore, and theirs was perfect: large pieces of pancetta and a silky sauce coated the linguine nicely. Our friend got the Chicken Italiano, which has chicken tenders sauted with potatoes, mushrooms, onions, and peppers. It was enough food for 3 meals! My husband had the blackened salmon dinner special. They also had a frog legs dinner special available! All entrees include bread and a dinner salad. Non-pasta entrees come with a side of penne in marinara sauce. From the dessert tray we selected tartufo, a berry tart, and carrot cake. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Our bill was $114 for an appetizer, 3 entrees, 3 soft drinks, and 3 desserts. Reservations are a must unless you don't mind dining at the counter - happy to see that all the booths and tables were full.

Friendly staff but more importantly the food is excellent. I'm working my way through the menu. We've had Shrimp Roberto, Zuppa di Clams, Steal Murphy, Shrimp Scampi, Pork Chop Italiano and Lasagna Al Forno. Tender meats, fresh seafood all perfectly prepared. They have a variety of fresh deserts that will not disappoint. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings 5-8. Reservations are recommended. BYOB

For this visit, we decided to check out Dolce on Main Street in historic Flemington. The restaurant is in a great spot right in the heart of town. We were seated in their tastefully decorated dining room, which felt upscale but still welcoming. For our appetizers, my wife went with the classic caesar salad, which featured classic dressing and herb-crusted croutons. I tried the pear salad which came with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette. Both were a good start to the meal. For the main course, my wife ordered the flounder francaise. It was prepared in a lemon chardonnay sauce with capers and artichokes, which she really enjoyed. I decided to go with the scallop and shrimp special which was pan seared and served with sliced asparagus risotto in a saffron chardonnay lemon sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and very fresh. We made sure to save room for dessert. My wife had the carrot cake special which was a triple layer cake with real cream cheese, sliced walnuts and golden raisins served with vanilla gelato. I went with the cheesecake. Both were a solid end to the night. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our meal, which we appreciated. It's a BYOB, so keep that in mind if you want to bring a bottle of wine along. However, if you forget, they do have a selection of bottles for sale from Alba Vineyard. We'll definitely be returning in the future to try some of their other traditional Italian favorites.

I ordered the halibut with potato purée on the specials menu. It was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I also really appreciated how many gluten-free entrée options there were. From the greeting, to the service and the menu options we were pleasantly surprised. For us this was a high value choice. The food was superb, the Spanakopita with it's layers of pastry and fresh spinach was wonderful. The roasted eggplant in the Mesakka was easily my wife's favorite item. For us it is a two hour trip to Flemington but we are looking for a reason to bring family and return to the area just to share this experience. A side note, the server, Summer, did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and part of the family. To top everything off we finished our meal with "Cakes in a Can". The owner's wife, Yara, apparently spends hours each day making these attractive and tasty treats. I had the Raspberry and Pistacio. They are right to be very proud of her efforts. I recommend this experience, if you are ever near FLemington and want to enjoy Egyptian and Greek cusine this is the place to go. Thank you for the experience, from Joyce and Bill.

Or a buffet that no longer buffets. But pizza is a big part of their menu and a lot of people order it. I can tell you, from sight alone... I wouldn't call it pizza. It's cheese, toppings, and an extremely flat crust that I can only imagine crunches to smithereens. So I went very much with not pizza. Fortunately, the menu goes many other directions. I got a hot chicken sandwich with Cajun fries, basically regular fries with a little seasoning sprinkled on (not baked in). Took a little while to get to us, but once it did, I was impressed with the spice level. This is not for the faint of tongue. The fries were perfectly cooked, but I would say just get plain fries if that's your vibe. I could have upgraded to onion rings or similar, wasn't feeling quite hungry enough for that venture. Verdict: I don't know. It's not a diner. It's not a pizzeria. Definitely seemed kid-friendly. I think my date liked this place more than I did. So again, I'll go with the balance and stick 4 stars on the wall. Could return, not sure what else in Flemington might attract (seems fairly restaurant-barren).
