Strawberry Beet, Sugared Raspberry Jam, Apple Cider, Corn Brulee
Dan M.

This was a small place that served donuts in the morning and had a prix fixe meal at night. I was there for the donuts and the service could not have been any better. We were waiting for one donut that was not ready yet and one of the owners offered us a complimentary coffee and some of their chocolate chip cookies as we waited, which was genuinely nice. We ordered four donuts. Apple Cider Donut ($4) - This was very tasty and light. There was a ton of cinnamon sugar present, but it balanced the apple cider tremendously. Sugared Raspberry Jam ($4.50) - This was somehow a vegan donut, but there was no way of knowing from the taste. There was a homemade raspberry jam filling and raspberry sugar on top. This was my favorite donut tried. There was a crispy outer edge with plenty of filling present. The raspberry was great, and the raspberry sugar was a nice touch too. Strawberry Beet ($4) - Again, this was a vegan donut. There was a berry beet glaze and freeze-dried strawberries, with sprinkles. Once more, this was a light donut, and the beet seemed to enhance the overall strawberry flavor. It was tasty. Corn Brulee ($4.50) - This was a monthly special I believe. There was the burnt sugar on top of the donut and a corn custard filling. Surprisingly, this was light even with the amount of filling. This was very interesting and unique. The burnt sugar on top was good and I actually wanted more present on this. The corn custard was just so different. I could not tell if I enjoyed it or not. Chocolate Chip Cookie - This complimentary treat was thin and weightless. There was a slight crisp with plenty of chocolate chips. It seemed like brown butter was used as it had somewhat of a nutty flavor to it. The salt on top was an appealing choice too. Will I go back? Definitely.

Variety of donuts! Thai ice Tea, Apple Fritter, CinnaCrunch, Mango Passionfruit, Corn brûlée, Guava Cheesecake, Dough-Knots

What a gem of an addition to Main Street in Flemington! Went there today with my mom and husband. Donuts are incredible, beverages were also amazing, ambiance is homey, and modern, but I think the best part was the staff. What a passionate and talented group of people to add in to the Flemington community. Wound up spending a lot of time talking with one of the owners, Andrew, and he is just the best! He has such a passion for what he does and him, his wife, and his staff have gone above and beyond to take into account every fine detail about the business. You won't be disappointed if you stop in here. Definitely expecting great things out of this place and excited to see where it goes as they're working on getting a dinner service together starting in September and will also work towards offering lunch too! Even as first time customers, we were treated like lifelong friends and family along with everyone that walked in the door. Donuts were awesome. Thoughtfully crafted, not overly sweet, high quality, and taking into account what the local area has to offer. The seasonal corn brûlée donut made with locally sourced sweet corn was delicious! Definitely try it before it's gone! Homemade Citrus Drank was unique and flavorful. I wish I took more pictures to share, but it won't do much justice to the ambiance the staff created. Looking forward to reserving a spot on one of your dinner services too! Will definitely be a go to spot of my family's.

Cornbread, corn custard, Parmesan ice cream in the forefront. Back is the chocolate ganache cake

This wine bar is way too cute for its own good. My friend and I split the Truffle Fries and the Cheese and Bread Charcuterie Board -- I always finish my food and I could not finish this. Make sure you have 3 people to tackle it. Like another patron said, this place is intimate and loud at the same time. They only have one bottle menu somehow in 2025, so you might have to wait a little to see it. Just saying. I think they only had 2 people working somehow, but we didn't have to wait egregiously for anything. Overall, highly recommend!

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.

But before I go into the food, let me address something I've never seen before on a bill. I ordered a Bourbon mixed with Diet Coke and the $15 charge was broken into three separate charges: $12 for whiskey; $2.50 for "whiskey prep rocks" (adding ice?); and $1.50 for "whiskey prep mixed" (mixing it?). What???? The first proseco served to another diner was outright flat, it was replaced. Meal. I ordered veal scalloppine picata and the meat tasted nothing like veal as it was a tough chew. My wife had the shrimp with risotto and she said the shrimp was ok but risotto was flavorless. Indeed, it's the first time I ever saw almost all the risotto left on the plate. The chicken milanesa someone else ordered came out cold in the first round and properly replaced with a new serving however everyone else's meal had to wait so we could eat together. Our waitress was nice but not very experienced and perhaps a little flustered. Brought out the dinners but hadn't bussed the appetizer plates in advance, It's actually not her job so I think they just lack help. The clams and sausage appetizer was very good. Perhaps the place had a bad night, but frankly for $300 with tip for 4 people was simply not worth it. Glad we tried it but it will likely be a one and done for us.

I can see why this restaurant was chosen. We were a group of 10 people celebrating a Christmas Party. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The dining room itself was lovely. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations, a large Christmas Tree in the corner. They have a mantle over the fireplace that was lit up and decorated with Christmas lights. What made this room extra special was the gigantic fireplace that had a roaring fire going as we sat and enjoyed our food and each other's company. The setting was traditional and on each wall were framed pictures. I kind of felt like I was in a Southern home. In a separate room was a nice size bar with flatscreen TV's. We started off with cocktails and appetizers. The dishes that were chosen: MUSSELS ALA VINO- I got them in a marinara sauce with garlic crostini for dipping. The mussels were delicious. CALAMARI FRUTTI- fried calamari with capers, black olives, sun dried tomatoes, and caramelized onions. Along with TRADITIONAL FRIED CALAMARI-with MARINARA. Both Calamari' dishes were delicious. MOZZARELLA EN CAROZZA- Served with marinara sauce. These were crunchy and the middle oozed with fresh melted mozzarella. LITTLE NECK CLAMS AND SAUSAGE- Lemon, garlic, herbs, crostini. These clams were sweet and smokey from the sausage. WINGS- (Medium Heat) the wings were crispy and flavorful. For my entree I chose their Special. STUFFED FLOUNDER WITH CRABMEAT-It was light and tasty. It also came with a vegetable risotto, which was really delicious. Other dishes that were chosen were PORK OSSO BUCCO-Vegetable risotto, and pan gravy POLLO PARMIGIANA-Boneless breast of chicken breaded with marinara and melted mozzarella POLLO MILANESE-Boneless breast of chicken pan-fried topped with arugula, onions, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette SALMON-Pan-roasted salmon with pesto sauce, seasonal vegetable saute, roasted potatoes GAMBERI SCAMPI-Jumbo shrimp, lemon, garlic, herbs, over spaghetti PENNE VODKA-Peas, prosciutto, a touch of cream, tomato, and a splash of vodka. We then went on to desserts. TIRAMISU, LEMON SORBET, TARTUFO, ICE CREAM SUNDAE, RED VELVET CAKE. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and their desserts. It was a very relaxing and peaceful evening. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. Even the owner came over and checked on us. I would definitely return and try some other dishes.

It's in a fairly unassuming spot right off 78. It's mainly known for truckers taking a short break before heading to PA or to the ports in Newark. The Union Township elementary school is just south of it. But hearing about Chris Cree and being one of 57 Wine Masters gave me a reason to swing on by. First off, the place looks magnificent. Great job with the renovations. The inside looks amazing with the lounge style seating near the fireplace and the huge dining room area. The bar looks swanky and apparently there's a second floor too! I didn't venture up. We decided to enjoy outside which seems to be the perfect spot to be in during the fall. There's even a gazebo where you can take a couple nice photos together enjoying your wine. We just ordered flights this time. One Spain & Portugal flight (red wine) and the other was a rose flight. They were pretty good. I skipped the food, but good knowing that it's there. This is a fun place to come hang out for a couple hours.

It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.

This was a large historic farmhouse with a menu that changes often. They source most of their food…read moreright from their farms which was cool to see. The service was very friendly, and the food came out promptly. They also provided complimentary champagne for our celebration. For appetizers, the duck bacon and vegetable fritters ($16) and hand-made potato and cheese pierogies ($19) were ordered. The fritters consisted of house cured and smoked duck breast with a whipped lemon ricotta. There were two present and each were fried perfectly. The lemon ricotta was definitely needed to pair with the salty fritter. It was a great compliment. The pierogies were of the squash variety and they came with caramelized onions and sauteed greens. There were about five or six substantial size pierogies and each sized appropriately. The squash layer really made them airy and the filling was tasty. The onions were a little too soft as there was some type of broth present. The greens were ideal though. For an entrée, I had the signature tavern burger ($38). It was a cold smoked grass-fed ground beef patty with caramelized onion, bone marrow, bacon jam, and potato wedges. I also had the gruyere and bacon added to the burger for no extra fee. When I initially ordered, I thought the bone marrow was just going to be on the burger, but I was wrong. Right next to the burger was one of bigger bone marrows I have seen. It was very good with the onions and bacon pieces. The marrow itself paired nicely with the bacon and onions. For the burger itself, I opted for it to be medium rare, and it came out perfect. There was an ideal ratio of bread to filling. The bacon jam was not too overpowerful, and the meat was seasoned well. The potato wedges which I believe were cooked in tallow were also large. They were crispy and seasoned nicely too. It was a well put together meal. I also tried the lamb being offered that night which I believe came with a lamb sausage and a shallot tzatziki. This was solid as well, but there were a number of fatty pieces I was surprised to see. For dessert, the mozzarella gelato ($12) was ordered. Yes, this had to be ordered to give it a try, and it was well received. There was not an overpowerful flavor of cheese, which I was afraid of. It did taste like mozzarella, but not overwhelming. The actual gelato was very creamy too, which I am sure helped. Will I go back? I would.
