You will not find a cuter place to have cocktails and a snack in all of Frenchtown! What is your pleasure? A cocktail? Wine? Craft beer? They have it all from the exotic to the local, simply pick your passion. We started with the marinated olives, then added the focaccia with goat cheese. Oh, it was so good!!! My man and I each had a beer, Tonewood, a local favorite from Oaklyn, NJ. The service was great, friendly, and fast. The atmosphere was extraordinary I can't say it enough.... What a cute place. If you are in Frenchtown and looking for a break, stop in sit down, enjoy. Cheers.

Stopped in for a late dinner while visiting the area -- the food was amazing & had a super cool chic-yet-modern vibe. The food was also quite affordable for the exceptional quality and uniqueness, which was especially impressive considering 70% of their profits go to a local art studio for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Service also was perfect; server was great and food came out super quickly. Highly recommend checking out FiNNBAR!

Great place! They've kept key parts of the Frenchtown Inn building but with a whole new twist and vibe.

Overpriced Drinks and Food! Service was terrible! My draft beer glass was dirty and looked like it had not been washed. Will never go back!

We got the poutine as an appetizer and it was great.Tender meat, great gravy, lots of cheese curds and fries they somehow keep crispy. Just be ready - it is huge. Finished it off with the buffalo chicken mac and cheese which was both temperature hot and spicy hot. Took home enough for the two of us to have a hearty meal. Can't wait to go back and try more.

It had herbs de Provence on top but it was like it was an afterthought and they weren't seasoned into the salmon, more like cooked the salmon plain & dipped it in the dry herbs after it was cooked. The parsnip puree it came with tasted more like butter than anything else so I avoided that. My friend ordered a burger done medium and she got a well done burger. What pissed me off the most is I ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit and when we walked in, I saw a piping hot one being walked to a table that was dining in. The girl who I was picking up my food with told me they didn't have anymore so asked if a plain biscuit was fine .. I was like no not really I don't want that and they had no idea what to do. I asked if they had bbq sauce and the guy said "I don't know". Like what? You work there ??? I just took my food and left and sure enough the biscuit was SO DRY. My friend took cheese from her dinner and melted it onto the biscuit which made it way better. My question is- why didn't the restaurant think to do this if they have cheese.... This place was an expensive disappointment. We both didn't like our meals. The ambiance inside was nice though but the food and service sucked

We had a 7 PM reservation on a Wednesday night, and the place and parking lot were packed! Good sign to start! To begin, I enjoyed the Ruby grapefruit mocktail. Although I'd love trying new and unique cocktails at different establishments, I was in the mood for something light and refreshing and nonalcoholic. This hit just a spot. For food, we started off with the margherita pizza to share. Then, I opted for the crispy, buttermilk chicken sandwich with malt vinegar, potato wedges/fries. It was very delicious. The sandwich was crispy and fresh and the bun looked like it was handcrafted. The malt fries were unique because they had a vinegar powder on them. I've never tasted malt vinegar before, and it was a unique texture. Our waitress was very friendly, but I wish she had been a bit more attentive. She only stopped by to ask us for our drink order, our food order, and to give the check. My friends wanted to order more drinks, but because she did not come around as frequently as we would have liked, they were unable to place another order. I will give her the benefit of the doubt, however, because the restaurant was bustling from start to finish. Overall, very nice setting and meal. Cute decor, including an Anthony Bourdain abstract portrait.

It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.

The service was very friendly, and the food came out promptly. They also provided complimentary champagne for our celebration. For appetizers, the duck bacon and vegetable fritters ($16) and hand-made potato and cheese pierogies ($19) were ordered. The fritters consisted of house cured and smoked duck breast with a whipped lemon ricotta. There were two present and each were fried perfectly. The lemon ricotta was definitely needed to pair with the salty fritter. It was a great compliment. The pierogies were of the squash variety and they came with caramelized onions and sauteed greens. There were about five or six substantial size pierogies and each sized appropriately. The squash layer really made them airy and the filling was tasty. The onions were a little too soft as there was some type of broth present. The greens were ideal though. For an entrée, I had the signature tavern burger ($38). It was a cold smoked grass-fed ground beef patty with caramelized onion, bone marrow, bacon jam, and potato wedges. I also had the gruyere and bacon added to the burger for no extra fee. When I initially ordered, I thought the bone marrow was just going to be on the burger, but I was wrong. Right next to the burger was one of bigger bone marrows I have seen. It was very good with the onions and bacon pieces. The marrow itself paired nicely with the bacon and onions. For the burger itself, I opted for it to be medium rare, and it came out perfect. There was an ideal ratio of bread to filling. The bacon jam was not too overpowerful, and the meat was seasoned well. The potato wedges which I believe were cooked in tallow were also large. They were crispy and seasoned nicely too. It was a well put together meal. I also tried the lamb being offered that night which I believe came with a lamb sausage and a shallot tzatziki. This was solid as well, but there were a number of fatty pieces I was surprised to see. For dessert, the mozzarella gelato ($12) was ordered. Yes, this had to be ordered to give it a try, and it was well received. There was not an overpowerful flavor of cheese, which I was afraid of. It did taste like mozzarella, but not overwhelming. The actual gelato was very creamy too, which I am sure helped. Will I go back? I would.
