Salmon with celery puree very good .
    Mike D.

Really like the space, nicely done with a good size bar. Weather was poor so no outdoor experience. Staff were very attentive and overall great service. We ate at the bar and David provided a great experience. The food was a little inconsistent... I love good bread, especially at an Italian place. The bread provided was average, either reheated too often or just old. Next was octopus which was delicious, tender. For entrees we had salmon which was very good with crispy skin and celery puree. However the classic Italian dish, carbonara, was just ok...too salty, the guanciale and pecorino already add a lot of salt, it was over seasoned for my taste. Definitely my kind of place, I think they can improve though. If not for the service we experienced I would have dropped it a star. Will try again for a

We had dinner on the patio and it was just wonderful! The staff could not have been nicer and the food was excellent. We shared the mussels and Brussels sprouts and for meals we had the rigatoni and the veal lasagna. We can't wait to go back!

Great new spot in lambertville. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with lots of large tables. Huge menu made it hard to decide. They have a great wine and cocktail list. Appetizers were all very tasty. We didn't love the oysters but it could have just been a bad batch. Calamari was so crispy with a great seasoning. Panzanella salad was so fresh. Weird that they offer a cheese or meat board but don't offer them together. We settled in the cheese and everyone was happy with their selection. Dinners were also very good but the duck was a bit too overdone for our liking so be sure to ask for the temp you like when ordering. All of their pasta can be made Gluten free which is nice if that's something you need. Pesto was very good but lots cheese. Make sure to leave room for dessert! They also off lunch and brunch. I'm interested to come back and try again.

This was our first post-Deanna's visit and our first visit in a long time. The bar and dining room renovations are top notch. We were there on a chilly evening so the outdoor patio was closed. The fact that they have a parking lot is nice on busy evenings. We had a reservation but our table wasn't ready so we took seats at the bar while we waited. Our bartender and server were both FANTASTIC. Friendly but not over the top or cheesy. Seemed to know how to read the group. Professionals. Cocktails were great. Not inexpensive. Solid beer list. Beers are all canned and also priced on the high side. The hostess kept us updated on the table wait, promptly fetched us when it was ready, and asked us to settle up at the bar before moving to the table. Our apps and meals were solid. Nothing especially memorable but absolutely good. Portions were reasonable. Silverware was exchanged and the table cleaned between apps and entrees. Expected, for an upscale experience. We had a 4-top table. This gave us a bit of space since two tables were brought together to create it, putting us a bit further from neighboring tables. Otherwise, the dining room layout is CROWDED. Things they could improve on : 1. a couple fewer tables, to create some breathing room. the two-top table spacing is just obnoxious and being elbow-to-elbow with the couple beside you really takes away from the upscale experience that the restaurant is going for. 2. transfer checks from the bar to the table. a restaurant that's pitching an upscale atmosphere should never interrupt the flow of the evening by requiring a transaction. do it once. do it at the end.

This quaint, authentic Italian restaurant was sensational. My family traveled a distance to visit this location as we love Italian food (we are not Italian) and the reviews raved about this place. The reviews were right. The food was delicious. We got the Bolognese, Amatriciana, NY Strip, Branzino, Pork Chop, and Cheese Wheel Pasta. Every single one was so good, especially the Branzino and Pork Chop. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The desserts were great too particularly the Bomboloni. Our server was so friendly and explained the menu very well. The ambience was warm and cozy, it was a very inviting spot. Massimo was also another huge +++ to our experience. I had to change our party size 3 times and each time he was SO patient and accommodating. He was even kinder in person. At the end of it all, we received limoncello shots on the house as a thank you and part of our birthday celebration. Overall, the entire experience was fantastic with great food. 10/10 experience. One thing to be mindful of is that the prices are a bit high for smaller portions but for good reason since a lot of the ingredients are imported from Italy. All in all, if you're thinking of coming here definitely do. Also a quick tip-- make a reservation if you come here, it's small inside! But they do have a bar area too. Thank you for the grand time!

Beautiful ambience, great vibe and outstanding service. Food was phenomenal! Owner, and wait staff including bartender were most professional and pleasant. Waiter, Robert was excellent. Excellent Espresso Martini, pesto pasta, pork chop (the juiciest ever) short ribs. If this restaurant was near my home, I'd be a regular!

Owners response to my poor review. Now we definitely won't be back. We will stick with Bell's Tavern.

Each time we return I am met with a 1-2 star review feeling based on cost / billing / and service I just can't shake. Go for the food. Stay because you get left for untold amount of time. Service is slow. We've been there 4 times and 1 time service was amazing. This last time we went, we were sat a table that was not a dinner table. I think it was an ill sized coffee table with a table cloth on it. The adults knees were above the table and the kids were sat in a couch that hit the floor. No mention or thought was given to who was sitting in this ridiculous makeshift table. Finally and the reason I was compelled to write a review - watch your bill. You have to put a downpayment down for reservations and 1x I went this was not deducted from my bill - I should have checked of course before I left, but last time I did not and had to go back and forth a few times to get my money back. And finally, soft drinks / lemonade. Glasses are small, packed with ice and when the server asks "do you want another drink" - he doesn't mention it will be nearly 5 dollars for minute maid lemonade. When you are (gladly) spending nearly 30 dollars for a burger to then have to spend 5 bucks a soft drink that is clearly understood as a free refill is a bummer. Hunched over celebrating my birthday this year - hit with a silly bill $20+ in lemonade - left to sit with no check in for a silly amount of time. There are some small changes to service and experience that would make this place a true 5 star event.

My wife and I were recently in these neck of the woods and we stopped in here for a little bit, with some solid suds results. You see, my wife doesn't partake in the brews (Invertase did have a root beer available, just for those curious), so this was solely a stop for me and something I wanted to do quickly. Luckily, despite the crowdedness of the place, Invertase had a few spots by the end of their bar area that we were able to grab while I sipped on a flight of four brews. Before diving further into those beer options, I'll say Invertase definitely had its fill of people on a Friday night, but that makes sense being the only place really in the area that was making its own beer. The interior seemed clean and had that "brewery feel", especially with the acoustic guitar man playing at the front. The people behind the bar were also pretty friendly which is always nice and not necessarily a given everywhere you go. Stuck on what to get to round out my flight, I was given a suggestion or two that helped complete things (and it was a mighty fine suggestion I might add!). Now jumping into those brews and what was available, Invertase definitely checks many boxes with a nice mixture of classic and eclectic options. Case in point: the Snowscape winter warmer was on point, while the Notes From Mom PB&J sour was...interesting. I can't say I hated it, though I'm not sure I could see myself drinking a full pint. Other brews looked and sounded good as well with a total of 10 options available. Not too shabby. Overall, Invertase Brewing definitely has a strong hold on the beer scene in this area (easy when they're the only guys in town!). They show some creativity in options while also delivering some classic beer style choices as well. Though nothing necessarily jumped out at me as worthy of cans (they had some available), I'd still venture to say I'd gladly return in the future if I find myself in these parts again. Well, I may be pigeonholed here anyway if they're still the only brewery in Lambertville!

Founded in 2019 by a family trio: son Stephen (who holds a degree in mechanical engineering), father Steve (a biochemist) and mother Karen (a microbiologist). The word 'invertase' is the name of the enzyme used to break down sucrose. Together they bring a scientist's precision to the brewing process. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon in March after wandering around Lambertville for a bit. The taproom has a nice sized parking lot. The taproom itself was about a third full, rather plainly decorated, and there was a guy off to the side selling hotdogs and walking nachos. My girlfriend and I each tried a flight from a taplist of ten different beers. The flights were served in red plastic baskets, the kind you would get at a fast food place, which was certainly an interesting choice.... Most of what we tried was decent, nothing exciting, but the real standout to me was the Winter Dreamz. 8% winter warmer with all the right notes of vanilla, lactose, orange, cinnamon. Definitely unlike any other winter ale I've ever had - in a good way. Our two flights, after tax and tip, came to $36.06, which is definitely on the higher side for flights at NJ breweries. Overall a nice place with nice people and good beer, one that we would return to.
