We've been here before and it never disappoints. We made reservations through Resi which I highly recommend so you can get a spot. It's always busy and you do t want to miss out. I started with an excellent pear drop martini. The glasses are so pretty and the service amazing! Hubby had a delicious apricot old fashioned. For dinner hubby started with the loaded potato soup and then had the chicken Neapolitan's with corkscrew pasta. The sauce was so fresh and tasty. The chicken was stuffed with ham and cheese and the breaded chicken crispy and perfect. I opted for the seasonal risotto which had locally farmed mushrooms and artichokes. I added organic chicken and omg, so good! We will definitely have another meal tomorrow because it's so much food. We were too full for after dinner drink or dessert but hubby wanted a cup of coffee. It was cold but honestly, he didn't complain because the service and food was amazing. We sat outside and there was a delightful breeze which made it so nice. We stopped by Under the Moon Cafe during our day trip to New Hope. Despite it being a busy afternoon, we didn't have to wait and were quickly greeted by our server, Rosie. Rosie helped us with our various questions about the menu and gave us helpful suggestions. I was initially bummed that they didn't have a traditional offering of soda as I was itching for a Diet Coke, but their tasty unsweet tea made up for it. For my entree, I ended up going with the charred corn salad, plus chicken. Cumulatively, our table also had the quinoa sweet potato burger and the udon noodle bowl. We were all really happy with our selections. The restaurant itself was adorable and cozy, which made it a perfect spot to unwind a bit after a busy day shuffling around the New Hope and Lambertville area. read more

We are really happy we found Under the Moon! Adorable atmosphere with great indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a decent sized bar. We started with the Bao Buns, which is highly recommend. I ordered the tapas tower, which is 3 tapas, and I chose the Bacon Wrapped Dates, the Tostones with Ropa Vieja, and the Patatas Bravas. The bacon wrapped dates were some of the best I've ever had--definitely get them! The Ropa Vieja was good, but it's not something I'd order again. My husband really enjoyed his Udon Noodle bowl. It was such a beautiful day so we had to eat Al fresco - what a better place for that... Lambertville. Despite other places we wanted to try, we opted to visit Under the Moon to dine on the porch. Apparently Sonia's shift ended while we were dining. We waited (and waited) for water refills. Then another waiter appeared cleared our plates, refilled our water and took our payment. He was quite lively, and friendly but I would have appreciated the server letting us know her shift was ending ahead of time. The food was just as tasty as last time. This time the slaw had a bit more kick but enjoyable all the same. The burger was made just to order, juicy and topped with thick cut bacon, lettuce and tomato. Still a solid 4 stars. Everything we had was sooo good. We shared a soup of the da which was parsnip. Very tasty! We asked our sever what her fave sandwich was and she said the buttermilk chicken. It did not disappoint. Cute place for a quick bite to eat! The outdoor patio is gorgeous and there's live music out front when we went. The service was quick and the staff was attentive. My cuban sandwich was a tad dry but I got over it. The vegan empanadas were amazing! Flavorful. I would definitely come back for the tapas and drinks. Wow! Looking for new places and saw this on Yelp! Decided that we'd head over for a Thursday evening dinner. Quaint, Cozy were our first thoughts stepping in where we were greeted and sat immediately. Ashley, our server. Was up on all the menu items and we decided on crispy Brussels sprouts to start. I had a beer and my wife a wine as we decided on what to have. After some debate, my wife chose the maple salmon and I took Ashleigh's review to heart and got the burger. A fantastic burger topped with brisket and American cheddar. The Salmon was seasoned perfectly as sometimes the maple can result in too sweet a flavor, but this was perfect. My burger came medium as ordered and was truly a great burger experience. As we finished I was already thinking about what I was going to get on my next visit. We ordered a 20 layer crepe dessert to go and slit it later after we were home. I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

My husband and I recently dined at under the moon in Lambertsville, NJ and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were promptly seated outside on a surprisingly warm October afternoon. The outdoor setting was lovely though the unexpected heat made us grateful for the attentive service that kept us comfortable. Our server Emma, was an absolute highlight. Her enthusiasm and care truly elevated the experience. For drinks my husband ordered the Bloody Mary, which he found perfectly spiced and refreshing, while I opted for a decaf Espresso martini. The food was impressive My husband's dirty taco was bursting with flavor. I had the steak and eggs, the steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Both entrées were delicious. This is such a cute brunch place! We love the decor and one of the bathrooms was 10/10 creative and CUTE. Our waitress was very nice and very thoughtful. We ordered the deviled eggs , wings, empanadas, kids chicken tenders, and the tapas tower. For the tapas we had the two steaks, pork belly and short ribs. My favorite was the tapas! It was so good!!! Under the Moon is a great spot in the heart of Lambertville. The entrance has a cool VW bus and beautiful garden full of plants and flowers. It's really beautiful. There is a side walk sign that welcomes dogs and lists special events including local night specials. There is also a really nice ramp should anyone need it. Indoor and outdoor seating were offered, we opted for outdoor on their covered porch. Bella was our server and she is so good at her job! She told us about the owners story and how he has grown his business and developed a huge following for his famous empanadas. She gave us some tapas selections and we took all of them! Drinks arrived in mason glasses that I loved. The tapas are $40 for three. The portions are on the smaller side. You can add a forth if you'd like too for an uncharge. Plates are presented nicely on a tower, along with some crostini's on the side. We loved the bacon wrapped dates! If you like blue cheese try these! They were our favorite. The Cazuela De Queso was a goat cheese dip with caramelized onions. It was good, but not as good as the dates. I would recommend skipping the Tostones Con Ropa Vieja. We both found the meat delicious but stringy and difficult to chew. I will definitely come back to Under the Moon. When I do I'm definitely trying the empanadas or coming for locals night. Their $30 three course meal on Wednesdays is a sweet deal!Wednesday's are a great night in Lambertville because it's locals night. Great food, super cute location, very slow service. Came here with a friend before we hit the town to do some shopping and stopped in to get some drinks and food. I gave their pickle martini a try and it just was not for me. I let our waitress know and she was nice enough to exchange it for a bloody mary, which was perfect. The right amount of spicy without it being too much, if you know what I mean. We started out with the saffron mussels which were super delicious. The broth was so good that we wanted more bread to sop it up with. We asked our waitress, but were still waiting on it about 20 minutes later. We asked her again, she had forgotten to put it in. The broth was pretty cold by the time we got bread, but still tasty. I ordered the dirty tacos which come with marinated flank steak. They were absolutely huge, and even though it was just three tacos I could not finish that last one. Servers were great - pleasant and attentive. After that, all down hill. Worry about their cleanliness habits; glass if ice had food particles on outside and inside. Asked for a replacement - also food stuck to inside. Enrolled silverware - guess what - knife dirty on both sides, 1-2 inch smear. From there, had chicken milanese. Just some romaine lettuce on top of an overcooked (dry) chicken cutlet. Virtually no oil/lemon dressing. Even the drinks were just OK. It's an old house with outdoor seating on the front lawn and wrap around porch, inside on the first level, and in the backyard. They also had live music playing in front. The 6 of us were able to be seated immediately in the backyard. Not as aesthetic as the front area, but still a nice ambiance under a tent. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and others in my group ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The Cuban was very dry, the cold cuts were not moist, and the sandwich didn't have a lot to flavor. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent - a nice piece of fried chicken on a brioche with a spicy broccoli slaw. This place is not quite what I expected. I thought it was going to be a small cafe, but it's got a lot of seating indoors and outdoors, as well as an indoor bar. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. We started with the veggie empanadas and this was delicious. It was also our favorite thing that we had here. I got the black bean burger which was decent. It was a bit dry, but still tasty. My date got the caprese sandwich and he enjoyed it. The French fries on the side were unique and yummy. Today my husband and I went for lunch. We were so looking forward to a lovely time, but our expectations were ruined by a bad experience. While waiting to order a waitress spilled food over my hair, back, pants and chair when she tripped while delivering another meal. While I fully understand that accidents do happen, it is unacceptable that she did not make any effort to apologize and simply walked away. My husband called our waiter and complained. He brought a few napkins and walked away. Later a manager was walking around asking everyone how they were enjoying their food, fully unaware of what taken place, and we told him what happened. At no time did anyone try to make amends. A few minutes before we left, the waitress came over and said a half felt sorry. We paid our bill and we will be happy not to return to a place that puts so little value on their customers. My shirt was ruined and so was our outing. read more

Really cute restaurant in Lambertville. I came a week before Halloween and it was decorated so fun! I had the tapas sampler which included 3 items for 40. The portions were a little small for each of the 3 items but everything was tasty. Excellent service. read more

Seafood empanadas: 5/5 heavenly and a taste similar to crab roe permeates through the whole dish. It was delicious. Mac and Cheese: 5/5 delicious! Absolutely a must get. Cream and cheesy with small pieces of duck that gives you a nice Smokey and savory element to it. Crab Cake Burger: 2/5 The crab cake was well made. On its own it would have been fine. But as a burger it just doesn't work too well. It breaks apart too easily and soft as how a crab cake should be but lacks the firmness to work as a burger. Tres Leches: 5/5 delicious way to end the day. Nice portion and each bite was heaven. Overall food was amazing just one bad pick for the entree. That seafood empanadas all the way though! 100% if you only get one thing here get that. read more

Nope. We ordered iced cappuccinos which were watered down. Huevos rancheros contained bacon burned to a crisp. I ordered the eggs over easy and received over extra hard. We made a reservation for a Saturday night dinner in July & sat on the lovely front porch. They had divine craft cocktails & we had a hard time deciding what to get. I had the most delicious pear martini & my friend had their classic mojito. We couldn't resist trying the duck mac & cheese, which was very rich and very delicious and we of course took some of that home. The other thing we wanted to try was their empanadas and we ordered the beef and vegetable and neither one disappointed they were both crispy with apple filling and nice dipping sauces. For my entrée, I had the Argentinian meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and my friend had Ropa Vieja. We had some after dinner drinks, including a tawny port and an iced lattini. The hydrangea and flowers surrounding the house where the restaurant is were beautiful and we enjoyed the overall ambience. Also had the tapas trio - really liked the dates and the steak, while the ropa vieja was just ok, wouldn't get that again. Wine pour seemed weak, but good wine. Tried out Under the Moon for the first time and was blown away! They are known for their tapas menu and great cocktails- and I can't lie when I say every single thing I got was SO good. The Mac and cheese was amazing and I highly recommend getting the shrimp and Spicy meatballs from the tapas menu. Under the Moon Cafe is well situated and pretty: central to Lambertville with seating both on the lawn and on the wrap-around porch. We enjoyed the live music--keyboard and vocals on the lawn. Unfortunately, service* and food had their ups and downs when we went for dinner. Drinks were all well-received--and they have 3 mocktails on offer, too. The food all looked great... Appetizer-wise, the broccoli rabe with polenta croutons was the best seasoned dish of the meal. The avocado deviled eggs needed more salt/seasoning whipped into the egg yolk portion--the pickled onions were great! Entree-wise, we sent two dishes back (and don't usually send food back): 1 of the 3 picks for the tapas tower was requested sans cheese (allergy) and arrived with cheese and the burger was ordered medium and came out almost raw in the center. Another of the 3 picks for the tapas tower was overly salty...wish that salt had been used on the burger--while the second burger was medium rare (on the rare side), it seemed to lack any seasoning. That said, the fries were solid, the ropa vieja received a good review, and there were no complaints from the noodle** bowl recipient. *There was some urgent discussion between our server and another in which it sounded as though something might be very wrong with what had just been served to us.
