Found through Yelp and the reviews were correct! The food was flavorful, fresh, and plentiful. We ordered many Tapas and had a chance to savor so many items. The service was wonderful -- from Sangria to Tapas and desserts! The clean and fresh decor and overall ambiance was wonderful. Food came quickly, and prompted quick eating --often forgot to take pictures of each item --LOL. I would strongly recommend a visit and I plan to return one day soon.

Omg this place was so delicious! The food surpassed my expectations! Service was okay. Cozy vibes. We ordered tapas to share. The chorizo was very tasty. The potatoes were so exceptional. We couldn't stop munching on them. So crispy! Prawns were great and the flan dessert was not too sweet. I'd love to come back and try the other tapas.

Adorable little spot. Came for dinner on a Tuesday night with my friend, and it was quaint. The food was delicious. We ordered a few appetizers and dessert, and it was enough to fill us up. The service was great, too. Would love to come back to try their entrees.

Had a party at Xunta, and they were great. Food is awesome. Service was helpful and cheerful. And the owner Alfonso was a great host. Highly recommended!

Revisited after a few years. The food in question is still great and the advantage of tapas, having small dishes one can taste and share, allows one to try a good amount of things on the menu. I hope I get back soon.

My friend and I visited Xunta on an early Saturday evening, I recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in. Street parking was plentiful when we arrived, so we had no issue getting a close spot. The restaurant itself had a weird odor when we walked in, but we became anosmic to it quickly. It is BYOB, so we requested sangria to add our wine to. I didn't think it was too flavorful for a red sangria, I mostly tasted my wine. At $16 a pitcher, I would have liked a little more oomph. The tapas sized servings were plenty for the two of us and we were both happy with the vegetarian options available. Out of all our plates, we absolutely loved the patatas bravas. The sauce was to die for, a perfect hint of spice to compliment the starch of the potatoes. Every table in the restaurant had an order of it and I can see why. This is a nice spot to visit for date night or with some friends. Small plates, big flavor.

The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.

The well-curated and balanced menu is focused on Spanish/Mediterranean dishes and tapas, all expertly prepared with quality ingredients. I genuinely loved everything. We ordered fried calamari misto (fantastic!), bacalao croquettes, polenta crostini, and Olar salad (simple but delicious) to start. For our mains, the paella Valenciana and mariscada salsa verde were profuse with fresh seafood - and the mussels and clams were delightfully fat and plump. The grilled skirt steak, which we requested medium rare, was perfectly cooked. Complimentary garlic herb crostini is brought to the table, and we were given fresh crusty-chewy rosemary focaccia bread brushed with olive oil as well. We were too stuffed to go for dessert but I think the offerings were a molten lava cake, vanilla panacotta, a cheesecake of some sort, and caramel flan. The owner was there and came around to greet everyone. They are currently doing a soft opening so there's no liquor license yet, and it's cash only right now, but everything seems so well run already. This is a true foodie destination, especially for Rockland. Highly recommended and a hearty 5 stars!

My last favorite was in a food court inside of a mall!" "It feels like it's the next evolution in the Tommy's Tavern-Tio Taco's takeover of high-quality spots all across our great state!" (But each statement is said, and meant, with sincerity.) It's large (high ceilings adding to the 'wow factor'). It has a great look and vibe. The entire staff are profusely positive. As for the ramen... the broth was chock-a-block with flavor and veggies and noodles and a whole array of goodies (black oil, crispy garlic nubs, creamy tofu, you name it). The Mrs. (who is the real connoisseur when it comes to ramen, I'm just a wannabe) thought the portion was a bit on the 'wimpy' side (for the price) but I was content. (We arrived at the tail-end of happy hour, so maybe I was a bit more forgiving since the bill wasn't as bad as it could've-would've been.)

The selection is inclusive, with ramen options for vegans and those who don't eat pork. And the pièce de résistance: the takoyaki. I consider myself somewhat of a takoyaki connoisseur. If it's on the menu, I order. Their takoyaki is BOMB. It's perfectly creamy inside and rests atop this delicious velvety ricotta-like sauce, excellent sauce assortment (the usuals), and I like the shredded bonito, ALL GOOD. Not a ton of octopus in there (about 1-2 pieces in each) but I wasn't mad. I was actually very very happy. Now the sad is that their main event, the ramen, was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the chicken ramen. The issue that really docks points is that the broth was just not right. It was over-reduced, or something otherwise went wrong because the texture was less creamy and more...thickened? Viscous? Unpleasant. It left this slightly gritty strange coating on the tongue. Also, it tasted like straight up bones and water. Severely under-seasoned. And the measly slices of chicken (give us 4 if they're going to be that small) did not have a touch of much-needed salt. The noodles were seasoned very well though, so I did enjoy those bites especially when I doused that baby in their delicious spicy sauce. The seasoned egg was nice and I'm glad it came with one whole egg and not a half. Also glad the bowl came with spinach because lord knows we need more fiber. As I ate the noodles, I enjoyed the bowl, but I couldn't slurp the soup. That's arguably at least half the experience, right? I want to give 4 stars because genuinely, that takoyaki is GOLD. That alone is like eight stars, off the charts. However, this is a ramen spot. The ramen is, alas, important.
