I love coming to Sazon! The people are so nice, the food is cheap, and, most importantly, has that "homemade" taste I love so much! Their estofado, fried chicken, and the pernil are my go-tos. They have a somewhat small space but there is parking in the back. I tend to take it to go and you still get big portions as if you were eating there. Definitely give them a try! P.S. they also cater!

The food was great, everything was fresh, well seasoned, and you can't beat the prices for the portions. The staff is very nice and from what I noticed they are all bilingual, and if you're trying to practice Spanish they are patient and helpful. The restaurant is clean, offers enough seating for whenever you're there because most people seem to take it to go.

We were looking for somewhere to eat so we found this place. The restaurant itself is very old and outdated. There is parking in the back with a front entrance on the main road. It is cafeteria style eating with the benches to match. However the people who work here are super nice and pleasant. They were welcoming and worked with a smile. The food was good and well seasoned. There is a good sized selection to choose from.

Food was delicious the service was friendly and welcoming and the ambiance was very minimal but didn't matter because the food there is delicious and the staff are very pleasant.

Wow, I'm so glad I gave this place a shot. It wasn't far from my hotel and I was craving a hole in the wall option that would be a place to remember. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was excited to see what they had to offer. Do not judge this place by the cover! I was quickly greeted by a friendly employee standing behind a row of amazing food. I told him it was my first visit and he was so helpful. He took the time to explain how it worked and made some recommendations. I worked my way down the line and was out the door in 5 minutes. The food was absolutely fantastic. It was so authentic and fresh and reasonably priced. I couldn't complain about anything I received except I'd maybe ask for a few more sauce packets next time. The empanadas were delicious and accompanied my combo perfectly. I loved the plantains and the yucas. Definitely give this place a shot!

#Latergram #AfterWeLawyerWeEat #FirstTimerAlert Sazon Latino in Boonton, NJ. Line up on the line and tell em to fix you up! Yellow Rice, Plantanos, Refried Beans, Beef Empanada, and Beef Stew with Potatoes & Carrots. Side Salad with Thousand Island Dressing. Top it all off with a delicious Hot Sauce, wash it down with a Fanta from the Glass Bottle. Nice little seating area, staff is hard at work on each and every customer, food prep is ongoing, and it's packed with flavor. Stop by! #MajorLeagueGrubbin #NomNomNom

They're knowledgeable about the many items on the menu and kept our waters and chips topped up throughout the meal. The actual food wasn't as great. I tried some barbacoa street tacos and some fried fish tacos. Everything was fresh and well cooked but lacking in flavor - each dish could be seasoned a bit more. I'm hopeful for the restaurant, and I may try it again if they try new recipes or something different to season their food.

I do feel everything would have benefitted from salt, and I wish that as a dine-in customer my burrito had not come wrapped in to-go paper. To give you a sense of the ambiance: the Spanish-speaking cashier/cook was reading a book when I walked in, and the television on the wall was blaring a Spanish-language TV show. I was one of only two customers when I went for a Saturday lunch around 1p. The other customer was also conversing in Spanish with the front of house. I appreciated that a bottled green habanero sauce was at my table, along with Cholula. It helps add to the authenticity. All that said, maybe don't come here for the tex-mex. If I came back I'd try one of the five different kinds of tacos they offered.

Easily one of the better specialty lattes I've had. The almond croissant was fantastic: flaky, buttery, and topped generously with almonds. It paired really well with the coffee. The café was very busy when we walked in, which says a lot about how popular it is. I've seen a few negative reviews, but my experience has been totally different and I honestly think those critiques are undeserved. The coffee and food are fantastic. Their beans come fresh from the family plantations in Colombia, which you really can taste in every cup -- you won't find that kind of direct farm-to-cup flavor around here. It's wonderful to have such great quality coffee and a lovely atmosphere right here in Lake Hiawatha. Highly recommend stopping by!

For starters, the chicken is flavorful, fresh and always on point. The rice and beans as well, but french fries are always a miss - stale and floppy - but the chicharron makes up for it! The only downside here: if you don't speak Spanish, you're screwed with both placing the order and picking up primarily due to it being a family owned establishment in a heavily populated Latin/Hispanic community. I've tried calling in a handful of times and have been put on hold for a while or hung up on after a few tries. It's pretty tough to have a conversation with them primarily due to the loud background noise and distant tone picked up by their touch less headsets the employees wear. It can get a bit frustrating if you're not able to speak moderate Spanish, but the alternative is just order Uber Eats or DoorDash, honestly lol it's still so worth it though!
