I got takeout from here so can't really comment on the ambiance or the service, though I will say, for a large order, they did get everything correct. The portions were really big, leaving plenty of leftovers. We ordered the chicken sandwich, penne vodka with chicken, pechuga a la Columbiana, pechuga empanizada, fried plantains, and yellow rice. All of the dishes felt subpar in flavor. While nothing was bad, it all felt very average. I enjoyed the mushroom sauce with the chicken, but nothing stood out in the flavor. The pechuga empanizada felt a tad over cooked as well. We also ordered the tres leches which followed a similar theme of not having much flavor. It is a big space with many tables in the middle and it has terrible acoustics: a video screen on each side played what otherwise would have been good salsa but sounded terrible. I ordered a pork loin with rice and soup: the soup was fairly good, the pork had been pounded thin and then fried until it had absolutely no flavor, the rice had utterly no taste, and a couple of tostones had the toughness of cardboard and tasted awful. At least two pieces of maduros weren't completely dry, although they weren't very good. Food has to be handled with care and passion to be any good, and my food clearly was handled with indifference, at best. We stopped on Easter Sunday for breakfast. It was low key and music was playing very low. I had coffee and a carrot/orange juice. I enjoyed the juice more than the coffee. The coffee was too strong. Also they offered whole milk or almond milk. There was no half and half or other choices. For my main entrée I order the grilled chicken breast with rice and beans (calentado) which is a typical Columbian dish. It was good and filling. Also ordered a pastry bread made of yuca. My coworkers and I decided to order from here for a birthday lunch. We ordered online and picked up in person. The takeout orders have a separate area from the restaurant so I can't speak on the dine in experience here. The order took 20 min longer than they said it would take. But the staff was really nice and our group order was large. I only took a picture of my meal but we got a lot of items to share. We got pan de yuca and pan de queso, chicken empanadas, beef empanadas and guava + cheese empanadas. They were all delicious. The chicken empanada was really well seasoned. I wasn't a fan of the breading on the guava + cheese empanada but it was still good. My Jamon y queso sandwich was good, nothing spectacular. One of my coworkers got the steak and cheese sandwich which was really tough and hard to chew. The Bandeja paiso platters looked good and my coworkers that order it enjoyed it. Picked up a quick cafe con leche & buñuelo for breakfast on the way to a hair appointment. The ladies here were super friendly. All the hot foods available were very fresh. Birthday ruined - It was around 6:30 and ended up leaving at 9pm due to slow service (mind you the restaurant wasn't full!!!) - One of my bestfriends first off found a hair in her dish - Drinks took forever - Food was cold - Certain side dishes took forever (tostones and guac) - We had brought an ice cream cake to celebrate and kindly asked if it could be stored in a freezer. When asked to bring the cake + happy birthday song it took almost 30 minutes. And on top of that the cake was practically soup by then!! Worst of all the payment system is horrible - for being a restaurant that has big groups coming constantly there should be an option to split checks amongst all party individuals - the restaurant only offers the option of splitting the checks 3 ways. We finished our food around 7:30 and left 2 hours later because of all of this - we were pretty much tired and pissed by then end of the night. read more

Had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Staff was cordial and polite. Menu was on an iPad and very extensive (has breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, ect). From the lunch menu we chose the carne asada and the grilled fish filet entrees. Each entree comes with salad and your choice of soup or beans. We chose soup. The soup came out first and was a large hearty bowl of chicken noodle. Broth was light (not too salty) and had copious amounts of chicken chunks and veggies, with parsley on top. The salad arrived with the entrees. It was a carrot, beet and onion salad tossed in mayo. A welcome new thing to try out and tasty. The carne asada entree was a large portion. A good amount of white rice, some platanos Fritos and thinly sliced grilled steak. The steak was cooked thoroughly but still tender and seasoned well. The fish was fresh tasting and had a good amount of flakiness and texture. This restaurant also offers baked goods. Will need to try out another time. read more

When we were sat at the table, the first thing I told our server about was my gluten intolerance and my partners seafood allergy. However, when the meals came, we were both served items we could not eat. There was some confusion when placing our orders. I had asked if the plantains went into the fryer and was told yes, so no I cannot have them on my plate. However, when partner was ordering his meal, he asked about the plantains, and our server said no they do not go fryer, they were cooked in a pan. So I asked again if the plantains came out of the deep fryer, and he said yes, My partner also reiterated his seafood allergy. however, when his food came, there was shrimp on it, When my plate arrived, there were plantains from the deep fryer, which again, I cannot eat because of my gluten intolerance. It took over 20 minutes for our cocktail to arrive. They actually came to the table after our meals were served. There is a very open and family style atmosphere with lots of birthday parties. The staff sing songs, and plays instruments for the birthday person, which is a nice touch. However, by the sixth birthday party, we were ready to leave. Management should put extra effort into teaching, their wait staff about food sensitivities and allergies. if my partner had eaten anything that had touched the shrimp on his plate, he would've ended up in the hospital. Its definitely a place where you can kick back, enjoy some music and feast on a huge meal. For food, I'm definitely a creature of habit when I come here. I almost always get one of two things Pechuga Ala Columbiana which is basicially chicken and mushrooms (sometimes ask for the breaded chicken instead of the grilled). The other dish is the Bandeja Paisa - which is basically steak, eggs, pork belly, chorizo - which comes with a side of rice and beans. We came on a Friday evening around 6pm and there were a lot of empty seats. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. For appetizers, we got the Arepitas Fritas Guacamole. It was very delicious, I have never tried it before but it was a nice starter to our meal. The arepitas fritas were very crispy and not too oily. The guacamole was delicious and they were very generous with the amount they gave. For my entree, I got the Pollo Salteado with rice on the side. I like the amount of rice they gave because I was worried that they would give too little. However, the pollo salteado came out on a hot stone plate that burnt a lot of the fries. The moment we got the dish, I started mixing everything because I was worried about the vegetables and fries burning, but it was already burnt by the time I was mixing it. Although the dish was very delicious as it was warm, it did get too salty near the end and I had to drink a lot of water to finish everything. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, the service is also lovely, however, I don't know if I'll come back for the food. read more

The past 4 visits this year 2024 it has been a total disillusionment because the quality and expectations of the Hispanic flavor is lost and gone. Today purchased beef empanadas and chicken, they were potatoes galore and smidgens of beef, zero taste. Chicharones were just fat and very little meat. Choclos down graded. Like I said, this is a total disillusionment and below standards. Do not feel the love but just commercialized immitattion of flavor and gusto. I will never recommend this place again.
