El Parche is a new Colombian restaurant on Sussex Turnpike in Randolph. What a great new local spot! My wife and I stopped in for breakfast this morning and loved it. She's a tougher food critic than I am and said to make sure I give this place 5 stars! To start, the coffee was excellent! You would expect that coffee at a Colombian place would be good, and this didn't disappoint. My wife had the avocado toast with hash browns and I had arepas stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese. I also had a side order of corn cakes with cheese. Everything was prepared so well and had just the right spices. Service here was very friendly and the atmosphere dining inside was nice. Definitely recommend this restaurant and we'll be back!

The best kept secret in Dover!…read more My boyfriend and I came here by chance when we were in Dover craving yuca fries, and since then, we've been hooked! We even came here to eat two days in a row once hahah Prices can't be beat, food is high quality deliciousness, and employees are extremely nice. You really get more bang for your buck when you order Bandeja Paisa, Especial de Bandeja, or the Calentado Paisa. They're all a little different but they each come with a variation of your choice of meat (grilled beef, chicken, pork, or chicarron) with rice, beans, egg, and corn patty in addition to whatever makes each dish different. For example: Bandeja Paisa includes grilled beef, chorizo, AND chicharron; Especial de Bandeja includes maduros and a beverage. Those options are all between $9-$12.50 AND the portions are huge!!! Sometimes when we don't want to get a huge platter like the ones listed above, we'll even opt for ordering multiple sides to make our own "platters" lol. I've ordered sides of yuca fries, chorizo, rice, and the Caldo de Costilla (beef rib broth - $4 under the breakfast menu) and be SUPER full at a super cheap price! ALSO! They have the best pink sauce and hot sauce ever. I don't know what it is about it, but it's just sooo good and flavorful. The pink sauce is very garlicy and the hot sauce has a nice kick and a slight vinegar-y taste. Mmm. I can't rave enough about this place. It's a tiny restaurant though so tables are limited (especially with COVID-19 social distancing in place), but if you have a chance to dine in, do it! They also offer take-out. Highly recommend!

Altoque is Spanish for "not cheap." My Colombian coworker brought us here on his recommendation and…read moresaid the arepas are best. We walk in, and the first thing I note is there's no English spoken here, which is honestly not unexpected in Dover. At least the menu is translated. In fairness, everyone else was ordering so I got rushed. While everyone else got arepas, I chose the Hawaiian patacon (plaintain) dish. Price for all dishes was around $15 + tax, which seems high for the size of the arepas but was about right for the patacon. The dish was delicious, the plaintains well fried to hold up the ample portions. As others around the table said, the fries here are nothing special and I agree, which is part of why I picked a dish that didn't include them. Everyone else was getting a drink so I was pressured into guanabana. I prefer tamarind normally, but fresh-mixed guanabana wasn't bad; I just wish I had a way to tell them not to put ice in mine. (At least we're talking 6 cubes and not 30.) Main problem: Very long wait for our food, at least a half hour from our order to when it appeared. Takeouts were getting prepared and sent out as we sat and waited, and our lunch break took over 90 minutes when all was said and done. On a work day. So you will want to call ahead here, not eat in. Not to mention that it's a fairly small interior - it can fit some tables, but our group of 6 took up at least half the capacity. In the end, to cut the wait short, my friendly coworker had to go up and pay for us instead of having the waitperson come by. She's clearly overworked, taking orders from front to back, bringing food from front to back, and managing the whole process. This isn't a bad place if you want to take out dinner, or a lunch that will have leftovers for dinner. But there is comparable food in Dover that's at least this good, portions at least this big, prices lower, waits shorter, and even with more room to sit. So relative to others in the town, I'm capping it at 3 stars.

Stopped by after seeing this place all over TikTok to see what the hype was about, and oh my…read morelord... it was ABSOLUTELY worth it! (I'm screaming at y'all to GO TRY IT!) I've driven by this food truck countless times and there's always been a line, but it's gotten even crazier since TikTok blew it up. I came early and still waited about 20-30 minutes before placing my order, but honestly, the wait didn't even feel that bad. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the wait in line a no sweat. While everyone was waiting, they handed out free fries with their homemade sauce, which was such a nice surprise! They also passed out bottles of cold water and even let parents with young kids order first. It's little gestures like these that really show they care about their customers and their community. The chimichurri and all of their sauces are made fresh daily, and you can definitely taste the difference--they're absolutely delicious!! I had everything on my steak and fries (Steak was made medium rare to order and just how I like it; fries were crispy good!!) Beyond the amazing food, the father and son owners were some of the kindest people I've met. They genuinely radiate positivity, treat everyone with respect, and create such a welcoming atmosphere. It's rare to find a place with incredible food and people who care this much about their customers. This is the kind of local business that deserves all the success! I'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend visited this food truck the weekend before and highly recommended it to me. Since I'm…read morenotoriously picky when it comes to restaurants and food spots, I arrived with high expectations--and I'm happy to report that this place exceeded them. First, the wait was completely worth it. If you get there early, you can probably avoid the line, but even if you can't, don't let that discourage you. Good food is worth a few extra minutes of patience. As someone who pays attention to the details, I always take a quick look inside food trucks and kitchens when I can. I was genuinely impressed by how clean, organized, and professional everything looked. It's clear they take pride in what they do. Now, let's talk about the food. The fries were fresh and clearly made in-house--not the typical pre-packaged fries you find everywhere else. The steak portions were generous (they definitely don't believe in counting pieces), and the combination of flavors and sauces came together perfectly. Every bite was better than the last. By the time I finished, I was already planning my next visit. There are still several items on the menu I want to try, and if they're anything like what I had, my diet may be in serious trouble. Highly recommended!
