Queso Fundido
Derrick N.

Really enjoyed my lunch at colossal. To start, chips were served and the sauce served with it is very good. I love me some queso fundido I ordered that as an app. I dipped the cheese in the chips and ate it with the tortilla chips. I enjoyed it. I then had the Al pastor tacos. It was not great, but still good and I enjoyed it. Big kudos to the decor inside. The art is very nice. The service was also very very good and there is plenty of space to sit with the restaurant having many tables. Would recommend.

Taco Tuesday special $13

I've driven by this place countless times and finally decided to try their happy hour that was advertised outside. Happy hour is offered from 12-6 Monday to Thursday and offered a variety of food for $9-$11 including flautas and appetizers. We tried the yuca fries and platter which included a taco, cheesy chorizo, and cheese quesadilla. They were large portions for happy hour specials and tasty! They also offer taco Tuesday special for $13 which includes an alcoholic drink and two tacos with a protein of your choice excluding tuna and Baja fish. Unfortunately they don't allow you to mix proteins. I had the mango margarita which was strong and steak tacos which were very flavorful. Tacos were a decent size and filled. I would definitely return especially on a Tuesday! Service was great and it was very clean! Decor was so fun inside!

We love this place! We ordered Chicken Fajitas & Tostaditas Acapulquenas. The portions were generous and the tastes were authentic Mexican. The server was friendly & attentive. Nice ambiance, artworks are modern but classic. And one big bonus! The restrooms are spacious & clean!

I can't believe I forgot to write this review right after. This place is exactly what Wharton needed. Food: Mexican fare with some cool additions, we started with the Colossal Calamari which might be one of my favorite calmari's to date. Light, airy, but the sauces were excellent. I also got a burrito bravado which is hearty and delicious. Service: our waiter Ali was exceptional. He was on top of everything and he was super nice. Aesthetic: sometimes restaurants have too many things up on the walls that are contrasting and make the room noisy. This place has a lot up, but it is the right style and right feel that makes this place such a beautiful location. I love the "traditional" pieces that they have hanging and their use of neon signs is cute and tasteful.

The vibe in here is incredible. Sharp day-of-the-dead artwork, on-point neon lighting, colorful flowers at each table... the owners had fun setting this up, and they want you to have fun too. You'd never know that Pop's Chicken used to occupy this building. I was tended to by Camilo, who I gather is part of the family that operates Colossal. He's bilingual and talks super fast in both English and Spanish. I had to ask him a few times to repeat himself so I could understand the specials. They really have a huge menu, and unfortunately it's on an iPad, which is a turn-off. There were entrees over a huge range between $15-30, and I gather that the more expensive ones are far larger portions. I went with a coconut lemonade (perhaps a little too sweet) and fish tacos. I'd eat these fish tacos again: cooked to the right temperature, crunchy yet moist, slathered in mayo, and with shredded cabbage for texture. That said, they were messy to eat. The tortilla was just packed. My real cloth napkin (!) was just covered in sauce when I was done. I was disappointed not to find a margarita on the menu. In fact there were no alcoholic drinks. Maybe they'll get a license? This place has lots of ambition - you can see it in the playing, the decor, and the way the owners asked on my way out about my experience. It's really good already, and with some additional balance to the food it could be great.

Tres Leches

A Mexican restaurant gem to say the least! This spot has the cutest ambiance and can comfortable accommodate groups of all sizes. They have a small bar area with incredible cocktails and Mexican classics like Jarritos. The menu has a really nice variety and all of the dishes are plated as beautifully as they taste! The service was excellent and the staff were super attentive. Would definitely recommend this spot for any occasion!

Servers were very attentive and welcoming, place was well decorated and picture worthy, food portions were adequate for the price. I wouldn't say it's authentic Mexican food but the food was good.

Huevos Rancheros.

The food was excellent. Accommodating with spice levels. We enjoyed their brunch menu. Very modern presentation. Ambience excellent and the service was even better. Guacamole was also excellent.

Mango soda

Great service. Great ambiance. Great presentation and flavor. I honestly can't say enough...I pulled up outside and there were not many cars but my daughter convinced me to try it and I am so glad we did!! It was amazing. Definitely worth stopping by!!

So impressed with this place! We came here on a whim and could not have enjoyed it more. The food was high quality and delicious. The service was wonderful. Churros were on point like the rest of the meal. Can't recommend enough!

There is a full bar which is huge and can make any drink you wish. They have some excellent specialty cocktails. We ordered the guacamole and chips before ordering delicious entrees. We also got the corn and split it so we had room for dinner. I had the rib eye special with a chimichurri sauce, spinach mashed potatoes, and veggies. The steak was perfectly medium rare and the sauce was perfection. I never had spinach mash before but felt good about getting some extra iron in my carbs. I didn't love the zucchini, (weird taste) but the other veggies were fine. My friend picked the burger and fries to satisfy their beef craving. The fries were crispy and perfect while my friend said her burger was excellent. Other friend went for the salmon and veggies, she enjoyed it and had to bring some home because it was a big serving. Last friend got the chicken rice bowl special and opted for grilled chicken instead of fried. They were super accommodating about making changes so we had exactly what we wanted. Again, big portion so she is excited to have lunch tomorrow. The music is very lively and the service is excellent. Be sure to stop in but do make reservations. We decided to grab dessert and had the lemon raspberry cake plus some of the homemade sorbet. One cappuccino and a cup of tea made us all happy and we enjoyed a nice leisurely meal. My friends had not been here before and we all plan on coming back soon. There was valet parking, so be aware and bring some cash for tips if you are so inclined.

Brunch Experience at Norte 175…read more I organized an F1 Race Sunday brunch @ Norte 175 with a group of six friends. We called the day before to confirm that in fact they would have ESPN HD and they actually took the time to confirm that they would. Two thumbs up for that. Having visited this restaurant for dinner multiple times, we were excited to explore their brunch offerings, which provide a refreshing change from typical breakfast fare. Norte 175 offers a vibrant and inviting bar-restaurant tmosphere that pairs perfectly with its interesting food combinations. We arrived just before opening as the race started at noon and while it's understandable that restaurants need time to get started, I would recommend arriving a bit later. Menu Highlights Taco Pancakes: This dish was a standout for me, featuring excellent thick bacon strips that complemented the pancakes beautifully. Huevos Rancheros: My partner and several others in our group ordered this, and they all praised the good flavors and quality of the top-shelf meat and sausages. However, the eggs were slightly overcooked, likely because they sat a bit too long before being served. Paella: One member of our group ordered the paella and appreciated its freshness, which added to the overall positive dining. experience. Our member, born in the UK, had the breakfast burrito and commented it was "good". It looked good, but I'm not sure we can trust the opinion of an authentic breakfast burrito to someone who would have prefered bangers and mash. Beverages - hey it's brunch! The group enjoyed some killer Bloody Marys, and a fantastic peach bellini and well crafted mimosas. All very tasty and perfectly mixed. For appetizers we had guacamole (that was fresh) served with chips. Our group tends to like a bit more spice and garlic in our guac. The spice was quickly rectified when we asked for a salsa with more heat. All the salsas appear to be made in the kitchen, and the hot (green chili) salsa was definitely fresh and spicey. The only downside of our visit was the wait time; the food took longer to arrive than expected, and a few plates were not served piping hot. It's evident that the kitchen needs time to hit its stride, but appear to get better as they got busy. Our server(s) did the the best they could, checking on the food and drinks, and were knowledgeable about the menu. I'd give them an "A" for effrort. Pricing This is not where you go for $4 Taylor Ham, egg and cheese sandwich or monster stack of buttermilk pancakes. The prices are more than fair for the quality and unique flavor of the food. Overall, Norte 175 is a great spot for a unique brunch, but I would advise diners to visit a little after opening to allow the team time to get everything up and running smoothly. The quality of the food, combined with a unique menu, makes this restaurant a worthy choice for your next interesting brunch outing.

My wife loved her margarita and our food was pretty decent (my burrito had an excessive amount of onions which I should have asked for none, but that's my mistake). The waiter asked us for our drink orders which was fine (Seltzer). Then we went to order the food and the waiter never asked the other two people I was with what they wanted. The complimentary chips and sauce which was not salsa but more of a crema blend was ok but the chips were not salted and not fresh. Probably fried the day before. The guacamole came out cold and unflavored (no salt lime or cilantro). So we cancelled the order and told them we would pay for the drinks and the guacamole but they left us sitting there with out a bill. So we added what the items cost and left $20 for the things we did receive but did not like. They did not seem to know how to handle the disappointed customers.... so unless you like flavorless Mexican food I would not waste your time. There are better places to go in Dover for good authentic Mexican food.

The cashier knew the menu, so he knew to clarify if I wanted a taco platter or just three tacos. They handed me a beeper so I wouldn't have to stand in a crowd. But the ingredients didn't come through. My tacos had cilantro, raw onion, a guacamole sauce, and steak - pretty classic, standard combination. Unfortunately the steak was of middling quality - easily worse than Chipotle's, which is a good standard - and I didn't feel the flavor either. On top of that the hard shells were all stale. I guess I'll try the newly opened Cuban Eddie's the next time I'm at the mall.

When they got to my order, I watched the cook prepare the sizzling chicken on the grill, similar to a hibachi grill and make my 3 soft tacos. The grilled chicken soft tacos had tender pieces of grilled chicken, cilantro and onions in warm double wrap corn tortillas and limes and verde sauce on the side. The Mexican rice was cooked firm and not mushy. The black beans were cooked firm too. The flavors of the food were pretty good.
