Oh good gosh Hay-Zeus Christos it was a culinary bliss driven ride! Wow oh wow we LOVED it! Top-tier eats whilst in moody, low-lit ambiance, nice tunes on the speaks with impeccable service and fantastic customer service from the very friendly & professional staff made this an extremely memorable visit coupled with happy hearts. We ordered a healthy medley encompassing the Miso-Maple Yams, Shrimp Martini, Blackened Green Beans, Fried Oysters, Black Tea Glazed ribs which were ALL absolutely scrumptious to the UMPTIOUS and the one dish that knocked our socks off clean out of our boots, that we loved sooo much, that we were planning to invite into the family tree was the Kanpachi Ceviche. A delightful small plates experience in downtown Doylestown! What a great dining night we had last night! The staff explained their process and how things work prior to ordering and excelled at pacing the plates during our dinner. Every plate was wonderful and flavorful. My faves were the cod special and the ribs. But the oysters were divine, the truffle and smoked potato chips a real surprise, blue cheese toast delightful, and the wild boar skewers yum! How many ways can I love this one place. OMGGGGG, Delectable amazing no notes. I went with my brother for dinner yesterday and everything was so extraordinary. Before we even got there they texted me to let me know about the best places to park. So thoughtful. I ordered the Cucumber Gimlet drink - super refreshing, delicious, went down very easy. My brother got the smoked drink which tasted -- smoked. Haha. He liked it. Then, the food... COME ON. I'll go in order of most to least favorite but they were all magnificent- Truffle & Smokehouse Potato Chips - COME ON. I can't even think to explain how good it was because when I try my body short circuits from all the pleasure I experienced eating this gloriousness. Black Tea Glaze Spare Ribs - I was so full by the time these came out but omggggg so insanely good. Salmon Tartare Tacos - Our waitress recommended this - not something I'd normally get but absolutely divine. Fried oysters - My brother preferred fried to regular (my preference) but these were very good - the oysters tasted super fresh. Duck samosa - Good! Stuffed with duck. Not what I expected but very good, waitress said this was her favorite thing on the menu. Squash hummus - So many unique flavors. Very good! We got the "Take 6" dessert to go home but I couldn't eat it hours later because I was still so full, but the bite I had was excellent. Service was amazing, food came out fast, it was bliss. They also gave us a little goat cheese toast gift from the chef and their perfect popcorn that I remember from the one time I went before. I feel like they may have given us extra chocolate my first time that they didn't give us this time but that's OK - I couldn't have stuffed in another morsel. But everything was SO GOOD. So flavorful. I found myself spending a bit of time trying to understand how such epic flavors could be put together, what goes into creating such exceptional bites. A small restaurant that's full of delicious and unique flavors! The menu is tapas/small plates so you get a chance to try multiple different items. The heat of passion drink is like a spicy passionfruit margarita - it's both strong and spicy but sooo good! Some small plates we tried included the truffle potato chips, grilled halloumi, risotto cakes, salmon tacos, shrimp martini, blackened green beans, black tea glazed spare ribs, and the maryland crab cakes. Everything we tried was delicious but my favorite items were definitely the spare ribs and blackened green beans! We love Honey so much. I dream about the foie gras sliders. I could literally eat them every day, in between the salmon tacos. Love, love, love everything we've tried. I told the service person I had multiple food allergies and she was extremely careful to ensure that everything my friend and I got was safe for me to eat. The cooks must have hated me! But I respected them and the service woman completely. Have a huge tip and plan to go back soon (I have a broken spine now). Ambiance there is lovely, decor divine, quiet. I came here by car on a Sunday evening in late June 2022. Reservations were really easy because we called a couple hours beforehand on the same day and they had availabilities. They texted us and told us we could park for free across the street at the C&N Bank parking lot. It was a really warm summer night and we asked to sit outside. We were seated right by the bushes. The only downside was that there were a lot of bugs flying around and a couple landed on our plates. The food and service, however, was really good. They gave us a complementary gazpacho, flavored popcorn, and a chocolate sorbet for dessert. That last one, the waitress treated us to it because she said she wanted us to try it. We ordered the Tuna Crudo which could have used some acidity. The Kale Salad was very good. The Blackened Green Beans were also very good. It was candied with a hint of spice. The Crab Cakes were also very good but I could have done without it. The Foi Gras Sliders were terrific. The pear gave it the perfect crunch. We also got the Spare Ribs which I was too full to have but it tasted great when reheated the next day. We both got the Pomegranate Gingerale which was also very good. I would highly recommend this place if you're ever in Doylestown. I hear people drive all the way from Philly for their Chocolate Sorbet. read more

This is probably one of the best wine and tapas restaurants in Doylestown, if not the best. While it appears the food menu doesn't change much, there are specials offered. The cocktails were strong and well made. The food is flavorful and plenty of vegetarian options. The wine list is appropriate for the type of food offered. The only downside is that it closes a bit early and we get nervous that we may be rushed if we have a later reservation--even though that wasn't the case the night we went. Service was excellent. I had this restaurant bookmarked here on Yelp before we even moved to the area. We came late on a Saturday night to celebrate a new job offer. They were still firing on all cylinders at 9pm. We were on board for the small plates and while not all of our dishes are pictured, we can confirm that they were all fantastic. The drinks are phenomenal. They have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks too. My husband enjoyed the pomegranate ginger ale and I had the Honey Blossom. All of the food was wonderful. They bring the dishes out in pairings that make sense with each other and they did a great job with both the pairing and the pacing. Our top 2 were the ribs and the sliders. The ribs with the ice cream is unlike anything we've had before. Foie gras is my husband's new favorite flavor, full stop. Here's what we had, in order: Risotto Cakes Truffle & Smoke Potato Chips (on the house) Foie Gras Sliders Fried Oysters Lobster Rolls Black Tea Glazed Spare Ribs Duck Samosas Fried Apple Pie We waddled off stuffed to the brim so if you're worried about the small plates, I invite you to get into it and taste for yourself. The service is top notch. The staff is very knowledgeable and everyone helps each other out which is nice to see. The ambiance is immaculate. It's a tiny space but they make the most of it. We love this tapas spot and have been here at least four times now. It's great for special occasions as it can be a bit pricy but totally worth it. We went for my birthday last year and this year went with some friends. The service is great and they help you with picking out items on the menu based on your preferences. We had one vegetarian in the group and still plenty of options. Usually order 3 plates per person and with a group of 4 this is a perfect amount and you all get to try enough. We got a few small bites and popcorn on the house to start which was nice. The salads were tasty, love the spring rolls, the spare ribs are a fan favorite esp with the ice cream. Make sure you get the ribs earlier in the night bc you'll be too full by the end of the night to eat it. Mushroom quesadilla is a special sometimes but when they have it it's great. Our party loves the sunchoke soup but it's seasonal so not always there. We also liked the lamb meatballs, green beans, duck somasa, sloppy cho, blue cheese toast, broccolini and halloumi. In the past we got the chicken meatballs but didn't really enjoy them so didn't order again. Our last experience we liked everything we ate. We got a gift certificate from our children. We decided to use it for our birthdays. I recall it was pouring rain that night. Inside the restaurant, it was nothing but bright. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, even asking if they could hang my coat to dry . Small plated food was delicious, elegantly and timely served, no course rushed. In my opinion, this is one of the best options in the area for fancy date night. Food: The food here slaps! It's tapas style (small dishes) so you get to experience a lot of the menu. My wife and my favorites were the crab cakes, risotto balls, and duck samosas. The cuisine is New American, but we were pleasantly surprised by the level of Asian influences among the dishes. The menu is also quite expansive, and we can't wait to come again to hit the dishes we have yet to try. Service: Top notch. The wait staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (we got some great recs from our waitress). They're also super attentive - at no point did I ever have an empty glass or a dirty table. Vibes: The restaurants is really cozy and intimate. It feels upscale, but not pretentious. We have been back to Honey numerous times over the years but this is the first time I've updated my review (from 2010 !!) It still gets a 5 star review. There were 6 of us and thankfully everyone liked to share their selections from the fantastic menu. Sierra, our fun and informed server, recommended 2 to 3 plates per person. Although the plates can be small, we at least got a small taste of almost all of them. Standouts were the Cauliflower Soup (each couple shared an individual order); Fire & Ice with Carrot Sorbet & Alaskan King Crab; Grilled Halloumi with figs, fennel, walnuts & mint crystals; Boar & Escargot Skewers; Salmon Tacos. The list really could go on and on. I'm only going to paste a few pictures. With some cocktails and a few beers (not everyone had alcohol) the bill before tip came to around $127 per couple. They give a couple free mini items like truffle popcorn and spiced watermelon soup. The non-alcoholic Bloody Mary drink was good. Chicken meatballs were bland and there was no gravy. Salmon tacos were good. Shells were fried well. The goat cheese toast was way too expensive for two tiny pieces of bread. The bottoms were white and not toasted. The ricotta cakes itself were good but the tomato sauce was so sweet. Reminded me of Campbell's tomato soup but thin and sweeter. read more

Our experience at HONEY left me speechless, yet I will write this in two parts- food and service. Food- Every single item that we ordered was delicious and included fresh ingredients. The menu is a collection of small plates and you choose based on how many people how many plates you end up eating. Jason ( our waiter) recommended 5-6 for two of us. The flavors were mind blowing, from the soup, to the halloumi and fig, the salmon tartare tacos, the sauce the fried oysters came with... wow. There are many small plates on the menu and we will definitely come back and bring friends or family. This is probably among the top 3 meals I've had in my life. Recommendation- make a reservation. They have indoor and outdoor dining but are a small establishment. Service- I have never in my 39 years on this planet had a waiter like Jason, he was kind, professional, knowledgeable and moved the meal along exactly as it should be! I never realized the significance of a perfectly timed meal until tonight. He made recommendations when we asked, but did not push. He was friendly, yet professional. We were able to discuss one of our favorite singers ( James Taylor), acapella music and more. Honey is my absolute favorite restaurant. My girlfriend and I make it a point to go once a year, just because it is a little pricey. But you definitely get what you pay for! I would never complain about that, and the cost is very much worth it. The space is small and dimly lit, perfect for a nice date or special occasion. The service is always friendly and accommodating but never too intrusive. And of course, the food is the star. They are small plates to share. As long as you order enough (we usually get 6 or 7 for a couple), you will leave full and happy. The options are adventurous and always delicious. I have never had a single bad dish, and even if it is something I would not necessarily make myself or order somewhere else, I can always count on Honey to prepare it with thoughtfulness and exacting detail. They make occasional changes to the menu, so I'm always happy to go back and try something else! From the Truffle and Smoke Potato Chips and Grilled Halloumi, to the Meat and Potatoes and Black Tea Spare Ribs, there is an abundance of variety. And don't forget to get a drink if you like cocktails, as these are just as incredible, and save room for dessert. Special duck samosa was terrific, though apricot chutney was a bit sweet and could use some heat. Foie gras sliders was fantastic and apple really shines. Best was ribs with ginger ice cream. Ribs and ice cream is going to be my new thing. Altogether food overall was a tad sweet but never cloying, probably appropriate for a restaurant named honey.
