Came to Vela for a wedding. The atmosphere was beautiful and the bar excellent. Everything was top notch from the appetizers, platters, entrees and desserts. The rustic wood fired pizza was also delicious and the service impeccable. I'd love to come back for dinner as a patron and try some of their other dishes.

Food was slightly above average. Quality only slightly below price Staff was very friendly but service was a tad on the slow side Restaurant is extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. But I would have liked a tad more AC. Bathroom was very clean but no urinal screen isn't ideal Old fashioned was solid. Overall a pretty good stop

Modern spacious decor. Very good service. Great for date night or a special occasion. The only reason for 4 stars is the pasta pappardelle was a bit bland and overcooked.

Wonderful experience. The food, service and ambiance was fantastic. It was our first visit here, and look forward to returning. Very classy establishment!

We ate here Saturday July 14, 2018. Greg the manager said they have been open only 3 weeks. We were pleased with the décor, specialty cocktails, food, and service. This place has a modern open space design with lots of windows and high ceilings that ad to the atmosphere. We will absolutely return for another visit. The special beet salad was crisp and delicious. For my main entrée I enjoyed one of the specials -- Halibut with cous cous and spinach. We also ordered a side of cauliflower and potatoes au gratin which was rich and savory. Finished off the meal with blueberry crisp. All round outstanding meal. I highly recommend coming here. Enjoy!

While the drink was fine, the bartender was fun and friendly. The pace was quick but not frenetic. Customers were in and out rather quickly, and the food seemed to follow the same pattern.

String beans, not my favorite vegetable, were delicious -- crisp and very garlicky. The menu says 'almondine' but I don't think they were. The beet puree is a nice aesthetic touch, albeit lacking distinct flavor. T went with the restaurant's spin on pot pie. The filling (roast chicken, carrots, onions, peas, celery and potatoes) was excellent. The pastry topping, somewhat brittle. We chose the Hattery because I had one thing in mind: al fresco dining. There are maybe five tables on the patio out front. The restaurant was formerly a hat factory (no surprise), cigar shop, shoe store and speakeasy during prohibition. It's located on the first floor of the historic Doylestown Inn, which is still in operation. (Note my photo of the lobby.) The Hattery's menu isn't extensive, but I think they cover most bases. It's worth a look if you happen to be downtown. But don't order a margarita if it's some kind of fruit concoction. We both gave it thumbs down.

It was all exciting about trying some very interesting dishes on the pre-fix meal, but unfortunately, it was not the stellar experience that I was hoping for. For starters, our server and "Director of First Impressions", Amber, was cold, aloof, and disconnected. She was just running through her role in a very detached manner. We made no connection with our server and the server is 50% of the experience. She was rushing. No one was there yet to take her time, and we felt that we had no connection with our server whatsoever. She didn't show any passion for the dishes other than sharing what she felt were her favorites. In a restaurant, speak in creative terms about the food, have and show passion for the food you represent. The four of us discussed the menu, and we all aligned and were going to taste around the table. Between the four of us, one tried the Thai pork dish, one the shrimp dish, and two the eggplant Parm dish. In summary, we all felt that they were underwhelming, and they missed their mark on expectation and wow factor. For example, the Thai pork dish that I had was supposed to have a Thai flair to it. If there was any, it was on the lower end of the flavor profile. It was a tiny dollop of some sort of red Thai chilli sauce, but it wasn't enough of a flavor profile to make me say yes, that's Thai-inspired, and frankly, it was lukewarm, yes the meat was tender. My wife and a friend had the eggplant Parm dish and also felt uninspired by their dishes. One was overcooked compared to the other; the two asked for additional sauce to give it some more flavor. Yes, it was a nice evening out, and you get a lot for your money with a multi-course dining experience. One other oddity. During the dessert course, which was a type of bread pudding, we were not offered coffee nor tea. Even it would have been extra, who doesn't offer a hot beverage with dessert, especially in the artic temps we are experiencing this winter. I had nearly an hour drive home, and coffee would have been most appreciated. Oh well. So in summary, I would have expected this to be a five-star review all day long. Unfortunately, it's not even close,e and this is coming from 2 couples opinion.

Food was good. Nice portions. Service was attentive and friendly. We both had the NY strip steaks. Honestly, we asked for medium, they were more medium rare. It has a very "railroadesque" feel right down to the art on the walls and the high ceilings. I believe the building was originally part of the Reading Railroad, that, however, could be an urban legend but sitting in the spacious space, I would like to imagine it's true. We have come here a few times over the past year and really, REALLY,want to like the place (which is why we keep coming back) sadly it is one disappointment after the last. Slow service, cold food, orders wrong, etc. I appreciate that the staff always makes things right when there is an issue, but unfortunately, we've had a pattern of problems. While the effort to fix things is appreciated, it is becoming frustrating and uncomfortable to regularly have to send food back or point out the mistakes. When we go out to eat, we just hope to receive the correct order served hot and enjoy a smooth, relaxing experience. It's tough when the drinks sit empty for a long time especially when we try to get the servers attention and they seem to avoid eye contact I understand things can get busy, but we typically come during lunch hours during the week when the restaurant is quiet so it's disappointing that these issues happen consistently. When the food IS correct, and the proper temperature, it just doesn't meet the quality that we find elsewhere. It's almost as though they feel speed takes priority over precision. They just want it plated, and on the pass as quickly as possible. I've even had a waiter rushing to the table, literally dropping fries on the way. Again, this wasn't during happy hour or game or any busy time. Just a very quiet lunch. You know what they say about crazy... "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results" I think I will have to call it quits and accept defeat rather than continue the cycle of insanity. I don't think we will be back to Station.
