Wife and I came for our anniversary. They advertise complimentary valet but by 6:30 the lot was over loaded and cops had to be called. We started with sausage stuffed mushrooms. They were the perfect size appetizer for 2. My wife got the Chilean sea bass with risotto and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the 10oz filet mignon served medium rare. It was a good size steak that melts in your mouth. I also got the loaded baked potato on the side. They put the cheese and bacon in the middle so it blends with the potato instead of just covering it. We ended the night with an apple crumb and vanilla ice cream, coffee, tea (Lipton) and Macallan 18.

The Hawke was excellent! My family and I went for dinner on a Friday evening and had a great meal. For appetizers, we had the Thai chili, calamari, crispy, brussels sprouts, and truffle onion rings. All were great. I was very impressed with the truffle onion rings and crispy Brussel sprouts. I loved the bacon and Gorgonzola cheese that came with the brussels sprouts. For dinner we all went with either the Scottish salmon or the filet mignon sandwich, and all were great. Especially liked the mashed potatoes and baked potato. They were delicious. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. They had a lively bar a nice outdoor patio that seem to be heated and two separate dining rooms. It is important to note however that it was pretty noisy and very dark inside. The service was very great. They were very communicative about any delays there might be. A special shout out to the two seasonal items. We really enjoyed the pumpkin spice, donut bites and fall sangria.

The Hawke really hit the mark with great food, a comfortable vibe, and amazing service. We started with the ahi tuna bites and chicken wings, which were both full of flavor and really well done. For our mains, the filet sandwich was tender and satisfying, the tuna tacos were super fresh, and the truffle ravioli was rich without being too heavy. Dessert was a win too--we had the mini donuts and the apple cinnamon bread pudding, and both were totally worth it. Our server Donna was fantastic and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back.

New owners still have a little work to do. Our server Nick was delightful! I had sea bas, which tasted good but did not have a good sear on the outside so was more mushy than I'd like. Sauce was good but there was too much of it. While accompanying Brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes tasted good, the sprouts soaked up too much oil and were greasy. My husband has the tuna. There was a lot of slaw and potatoes but the sauce was scarce. We'll try again but the quality has definitely dropped a bit.

i love the scenery at my table

We got the last table - a cute place right by the window and it felt like we were outside but without the chill of the autumn air. The ambiance was relaxed with lots of exposed wood and brick and greenery everywhere. Service was good and although food took a little while, it wasn't too long. Husband got a Caesar wrap which he liked. I got the stir fry veggies with rice and I added chicken. The veggies were crisp and plentiful, sauce seemed to be teriyaki. Good chicken. I was so excited to eat it, I forgot the photo! The only problem for me is the rice was fairly scant. I like lots of carbs. If we were just going home, I'd have a snack but we were out of town so I ordered more rice which took a while again. And they gave me a full side order which was too much. But still, all the food was excellent and exactly what I'd wanted.

My friend ordered the salmon special, and said that she really enjoyed it. I forgot to note how the mashed potatoes were made but I do know they had some paprika in them. Almost like a twice baked but different. Delish! I had the French Onion Pasta. OMG. If you are a French onion fan please run to Stella. I have thought about it ever day since. What a wonderfully bouquet of onion. The whole meal was onion yet not overpowering at all! The cream sauce was not too heavy. This meal is to die for. I cannot wait to go back. The view is amazing, we ate at the window by the river and of course all of the servers and runners are polite and friendly, as is the nature of the upscale restaurant. We both highly recommend Stella.

I started with a half dozen of their East Coast oyster selection, which were great. Then for my entree, I picked their Ahi Tuna Bowl (marinated ahi tuna, soy, sesame, macadamia nuts, wasabi peas, arugula, cider vinaigrette, sweet onions, farro, and sake aioli), which was also great - healthy and light while still really flavorful. Then I had a couple of scoops of sorbet (cucumber mint and mango). All of this food was perfect on a hot summer day. I also enjoyed a glass of white wine and a cup of coffee at the end of the meal. In addition to the great food, wine, and coffee, the service was wonderful (my server was named Logan and she was so great). Then there's the ambiance. They have outdoor seating that looks out over the Delaware River, but I had reserved an indoor table - I still a great view of the Delaware River throughout my meal! Overall, it was just a really nice meal - right in the heart of New Hope, it's a great option for an upscale meal with a great view.

Borrowing a move from Tiki bars, the Boathouse's nooks contain risque artwork! We were greeted by a friendly lady in a tiki robe, who gave us the option to sit outdoors, indoors (ground level with live music), or upstairs where the bulk of the artwork resides. We opted for upstairs. The space felt like a classy naval officer's club. The cocktail menu contained mostly classics and riffs on classics. I opted for the Smoked Honey Negroni with Barr Hill gin, and a Boulevardier. Both were very good. The Boulevardier - interestingly, was served neat in a brandy snifter glass. Our group also tried the French 75 and Last Word (Mezcal style). Cocktails were $16-$17, well-constructed, and sturdy. Service was friendly and unrushed - the perfect format for a relaxing evening. My one constructive suggestion is to replace the creaky wooden chairs upstairs and add more couches or cushioned chairs.

Recommended by almost any local you ask, The Boat House sits in the quieter Lambertville side of the bridge that connect this Jersey town to the slightly more bustling New Hope, PA. Down an Edison-lighted alleyway you'll find this small house for boats and ya know, it probably was a house (not sure about for boats) because it's pretty dang small. The night we were there I noticed there's some outdoor tables available, but really the interior downstairs area only fits a handful of folks. The upstairs can hold a bit more and that is where our timing lies. Somehow, we must have been early/lucky enough to hit The Boat House on a Friday evening when everyone was still out to dinner because the very friendly host sat us upstairs where we had the entire place to ourselves for almost our entire time there. Having the space added such an extra vibe to everything, especially because those creaky steps lead up to what really gives The Boat House its name as the ceiling is covered in maritime memorabilia. The walls, book shelves, and eclectic array of tables and chairs also adds to this. People or not, it is a true unique spot. But what really makes the place so great (besides the looks and the friendly staff who never stopped checking in on us) are the drinks. To start, my wife wasn't feeling alcohol and got an Aper-No Spritz which did the trick, though for myself, I dove into the intriguing list of specialty drinks that makes this place worth visiting. Round one was the Rower's Reserve which lists as a Boat House original and is gin-based with Amaro Nonino, sage, and blackberries to create some fantastic flavors. Round two I had to go with a personal favorite (with a twist) in the smoked honey Negroni which tasted exactly as it sounded. There were a bunch of other libations that also sounded intriguing, but that'll have to be for a future visit. Overall, there's a reason people from the area always suggest The Boat House. It's a true old fashioned maritime cocktail bar that gives you all the feels you'd want from a place like this. Perhaps this review is a little tainted in timing, but hey, maybe that'll give you a little motivation to get here on the earlier side and checkout the upstairs area for yourself. No matter if there's people up there or not, it's a good time here. Cheers!
