The moonshine comes in fun flavors like apple pie, sweet tea, root beer, and a few more! They also have a water bowl out front and a beautiful sign on the window that says Dogs Welcome. Other locations include Jim Thorpe (dogs allowed inside) and Williamsport (dogs allowed outside).

I'm not much of a flavored liqueur person, but I must say, their moonshines are very nice and with the right mixologist, could be excellent cocktail ingredients. The root beer one was my fav, but I couldn't think how I would use it. The bourbon was good and I might have purchased but for the fact that there are many many great bourbons now, some being several dollars cheaper. I did get their clear 91 proof whiskey that I thought was unique, and somewhat tequila like. They have merch available as well as interesting food items that they make at the distillery. Trader Joe's may want to take a closer look to see if any product copyrights were violated ;) My friend bought picked onions that I'm curious about. Customer service was fun and informative, definitely a good spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of NH on a busy day!

You see, I also love me some beer, and when I searched for breweries in the area, nothing really came up on this side of the Delaware...except on Google where it stated a spot called "Doubles By Human Robot." Curious what this was, we visited the other night and boy did we have a fantastic experience. Now just for a tiny piece of background knowledge, Human Robot is a Philly-based brewery and one that I've heard of for years now but never had a chance to try. Shame on me because they have some fantastic brews (more on that in a sec). Let's rewind to this "Doubles" name. As much as this inconspicuous spot is beer based, it's also all about cards. Not greeting cards, baseball cards! Well those cards and other collectible ones too. There are tons of packs available from those who actually want to collect or for those just looking for something fun to do while you're sipping on some delicious suds. We got a few classic packs (just a couple dollars each) and opened/discussed them while sitting at the bar. It definitely added to the vibe. A little more on that vibe piece comes with both the setup and true experience of Human Robot. The spot (as mentioned) is a bit inconspicuous from the front as it's on the back end of a building (so look for signs). You might also catch a glimpse of the small bier garden from S Main Street to help aid you in your direction. Once inside, it's a low lit interior that has some great beer artwork on the walls and really has a cool split of cards and brews together. About that artwork, famous Mikkeller artist Keith Shore has his stake in this place and you'll see a little nod of that hanging from one of the walls as well. Though in the end, as much as the cards are a cool part, it has to come back to the beer, and oh does Human Robot hit on those Czech styles of brews. Their pilsner was crisp and smooth, the Old Tudor English mild was legit, and their Czech 10 was one of the better beers I've had in quite some time. All so crushable and smooth. Though the real beer experience of this place came from the milk tube. Ah, I had heard of a milk tube before, but did not realize that this involves a long glass tube of what is mostly beer foam being poured in a certain way that allows it to come out super creamy and frothy...and then needs to be chugged. I got to try one of these from our amazingly friendly and awesome bartender, Ethan, who really helped to give us a true impression of Human Robot and its Doubles spinoff. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to any beer lover, especially if you are familiar (or not) with Human Robot beers. But even better still is if you just like to casually drink beer and you're a sports fan of some kind, or perhaps a card collector in any facet, this spot is just as great for you as well. I'm not sure when I'll be back in New Hope again to swing by Doubles, but at least I know I can get Human Robot elsewhere, and more importantly, now you can find Doubles on Yelp leading off with this five star review.
