Been here a few times and have started liking the food here Greens with hot honey m chicken or salmon are my picks with their feta and eggplant dips on the side are must try while Harissa has the kick if you like it spicy . Skugh is my favorites dressing Service is always quick , the place is airy spacious and clean . Only pet peeve is they don't have drinking water which we have to buy . I been a CAVA disciple since they opened. It was the best, most bountiful and flavorful thing one could get for lunch (never dinner it's awful then lol). AND IT WAS ONLY $8 for a bowl or pita. Then came the Slop Years when everyone started calling $20 bowls and quarter zips and overpriced housing "slop." And you know how I feel about that term. No bueno. Well "post" Covid I stopped going to CAVA bc the salad mix would be rotting and the portions smaller and the price astronomical. Like $14/bowl. My WallStreetBets went wild last week so I said let's do it big at CAVA. $33 for 2 bowls And a fountain drink. Please go to he-- I tried the new shrimp. Here's where it gets strange. The bowl was filled. Like my cup truly ranneth over. And it wasn't those punk baby shrimp either. These were plump. But the bowl didn't taste like ANYTHING. Like the stuff was there - feta, tzatziki, extra garlic sauce, skhug, extra pickled onions. My taste buds shoulda been doing tricks on it. But everything just tasted like cut n paste. A photocopy of food. A hyper realistic tracing of CAVA. I lowkey panicked that the Rona had got me because it gave nothing. AI slop bowl indeed. ::cries:: 3 stars for presentation and friendly sis working the line. read more

CAVA - Looked great. Tasted like air. - Mediterranean Near Me - Bridgewater, New Jersey

Ordered the kids bowl with the side of pita and an additional side of the sour cream and onion pita. Wish they had what was included with the kids meal on the menu. It was not clear what was included. The sour cream and onion pita were stale because I had the other normal pita to compare to and they were not as crispy and had a more dense chewy texture. I still give it a solid 3 stars because the staff were friendly and helpful and the rest of the food was delicious! read more

Free and plentiful parking. I built a bowl with white rice, spinach, steak, roasted veggies, harissa sauce, garlic sauce, and avocado. The rice was warm and fluffy, a good base for the rest of the toppings. The steak was tender and had a nice charred flavor. The roasted veggies added a bit of sweetness and texture. The harissa sauce brought a mild heat, balanced by the creamy garlic sauce. The avocado was fresh and added a rich, smooth bite to each forkful. Portion size was generous and the mix of flavors worked really well together. Service was quick and the staff made sure everything looked fresh before handing it over. Highly recommend. read more

There is something about securing the bag after work and when I mean bag I mean the CAVA bag. This is my go to CAVA location. I tend to have minor issues when it comes to my order. Here and there an item may be missing like a dressing or something. That is why I always double check my order before leaving. Typically when it comes to ordering at this location I always do the online ordering just because I want to grab and go. By the time I come to pick up my order my CAVA bag is on the counter ready to go. I also tend to do the online ordering just because I noticed how full my bowl is in comparison to ordering in person and I want my moneys worth. My go to order is the grain bowl! read more

I've been to this CAVA location a couple times now. It's not my favorite location, but it gets the job done. During my last visit, I went with a group of fellow Yelpers after an event nearby. It seemed like whenever each one of us placed an order, they were out of something. In my case, they were out of garlic sauce. One of the staff gave me another option for a sauce. I think it was something lemon-based. It was okay. I think when you've been a CAVA regular in the past and you have your favorite things, it's disappointing when they don't have what you like. However, that's life, right? read more

They are closing; the removal is looking great! Can't wait for them to reopen, great food and a beautiful place ! Thanks

Second time this year restaurant closed for unspecified time. Can't be a second remodel, what's the real story

Everytime I eat Cava, I remember I actually enjoy this healthy-ish food! Came here last weekend because I needed to eat something healthy after eating too much junk the week before. My husband and I built our own bowls. He got the falafel bowl with lentils and I got the sweet harissa chicken with lentils. I got almost everything as the toppings, and got the taziki and honey vinaigrette! My husband didn't get as much toppings as I did, and they didn't give him much rice or lentils so his bowl looks empty in comparison. Still, both bowl was delicious. We also got the hot harissa pita chips - sooo delicious and crunchy. read more

Decided to give this place a try since this was our second time seeing this restaurant but in a different location. Hospitality and service were absolutely fantastic. Our food server and the cashier were extremely helpful and nice. The place was packed and had a nice cool vibe nothing fancy. I don't think I'll ever not like Cava and I've never had a bad experience or bowl either especially at this location! They always pack the bowls to the brim and granted it's with all the veggies and dips I request but man does it make for a filling and satisfying meal. I almost can never finish an entire bowl in one sitting either so then I definitely don't feel bad spending $14-20 because it lasts for two meals for me. CAVA is lifeeeee read more

Hype has a strange way of coloring your expectations. Cava, Cava, Cava is all I ever here from my friends who apparently dig the idea of grazing on chick peas, greens and rice as they regale me with plans to live to at least 120 feasting like a rabbit at this quick serve hutch. My falafel was pretty good, pricing was Chipotle+ and the service was post-pandemic average -- leaving my inner carnivore crying. As a change of pace, I'll be back but the entire new age gestalt reminded me why I never retrofitted my car to run on vegetable oil. Three solid stars. read more

First-time customer, and probably the last. I'd describe this place as Chipotle 2.0, but not in a good way. I placed a mobile order for pick-up around 5pm, and I was genuinely shocked at how small the portions were--especially for nearly $19. I could barely find any greens, rice, or steak in the bowl. It honestly looked half-filled. Did you run out of ingredients already? The food itself tasted pretty good, and the Mint Lime drink was excellent. The mobile app was also easy to use. But overall, it's hard to justify the price with portions this small. I left disappointed and unsatisfied. There are better places to eat for the same or even less money. One and done for me. read more

I loved Cava, however the last 3 times Ive come to this location they have been out of the ingredients I get in my bowl! It throws off the perfect balance of flavors I look forward to enjoying!! Today they were out of cucumber mint limeade, arugula and white rice, last time they were out of the pickled red onions and my boyfriends steak was so dried out - he didnt end up finishing or enjoying his bowl. Another issue, was when I order online and they are out of an ingredient, they dont let you know and you end up getting something you did not order... I really hope they work out these issues because when Im hungry, CAVA is my first choice. read more

Had Cava for the first time and it was really good, despite the lamb being a bit salty. And then I added olives, which made it more salty. I took a picture of the drink options on my way out and they look so good, I have to try one next time. The quality of the salad and toppings reminds me of what I used to get in Manhattan as a commuter. The prices do too! My order came up to over $21; however the meal was quite filling. I had a side order of pita chips that I had to save for later at night. All in all, I highly recommend. The place gets crowded, so be prepared to wait. read more

Coworker and I ordered today for lunch. Not only did they not follow the delivery directions and go to the wrong area, but by the time we got to eat our bowls we were very disappointed. They were hardly half full, and my friend was missing all of the meat from hers-and were charged extra for them. Mine had only two tiny pieces of falafel. When we each tried to reach out-her on the phone, me on the website, we were not able to get through to a person. What food we did get was tasty, just would have been nice to have more of it and the correct items. read more

Cava in Bridgewater is backed the heck up. So far wasted 27 minutes of my 30 minute lunch waiting for an order I ordered online 1 hour ago. Got the email my food is ready. CAVA - The new Harissa Power bowl is delicious. - Mediterranean Near Me - Bridgewater, New Jersey

Tried CAVA for the first time last week. It is essentially a Mediterranean version of Chipotle if that makes sense. They have pitas, bowls, salads put together in an assembly line process with options for you to choose along the way. Very flavorful and for a quick serve restaurant...its a "healthy" option. Ingredients are fresh and they cut the avocado to order for each bowl/pita. I plan on it being one of my healthy quick serve options that i am adding to my list...My first visit was on a Sunday and although it was busy all the staff members were working hard to get orders completed....Unfortunately/Friday at 7pm today that was not my experience...There were about 15 patrons in line and staff looked limited but finally I am at the end of the assembly line and my bowls just needed to be covered with a lid and I needed to pay. Mind you with the wait and then my food being put together from the time I walked in the door until I was about to pay had been 15-17 mins.I dont know what their KPI/customer turnaround targets are but it feels long and essentially what has become the achilles heel of Starbucks drive thrus...waiting-inching up, -waiting-inching up...Ok so the lids were about to be put on my bowl when DANIEL (CAVA staff member) receives a phone call on the store portable phone...he walks away from the counter and he says "9pm" several times so I infer he was telling someone what time they closed...he is laughing with the person on the other end of the line as he hangs up the phone. He now turns his back to me again, and starts talking to another staff member who appears to be bagging and putting together mobile/online orders...So now they are laughing and pal'ing around...Eventually he comes back to counter with the "where were we" body language...now at this point multiple bowls are next to mine and it even took me a min to point out to him which ones were mind among the others. He asks me if I need anything else and I let him know i need the Crazy Feta dip and an order of the spicy pita chips and the regular pita chips...He rings me up and then places all the food in the bag. I check it at the counter and let him know the spicy chips are not there. He pushes the receipt button and then tells me "well I only charged you for one"...I reminded him that I requested two but he may have been distracted by the phone call or his side conversations with the young lady he works with and his co worker at the mobile order area...DANIEL just wasnt focused on the tasks at hand...SO he rings me up for the chips that I had ordered to begin with, and he hands me my change of a 20 dollar bill...he places it in my hands...Then he asks me to open my hands and then he recounts the money which I had the correct change for...all of this going on...just extending the wait and pay transaction for them...I asked Daniel if he was the mgr...He said no...I asked "who is the mgr" and he looks at the ceiling, the wall, other patrons, the counter and mumbles "Lilly"...So, Lilly or the Owner...if you have an opportunity to review customer feedback with the staff...please remind them that when its busy or during peak dinner hrs all the socializing, laughing, joking, chatting with the employee cleaning the griddle, or the mobile order staff, instead of completing orders and ringing up patrons should be avoided. Improves order accuracy and the overall customer experience and reputation for the location and brand. To top it off... After I asked for the mgr's name Daniel gave me the stare down as I walked out because, and I guessed right, he doesnt have the customer service skills to resist the impulse to say something snarky under his breath as i walked away so i looked back and he indeed was looking at me and mouthing something...and in those moments I decided I would chronicle my experience on Yelp. I dont know about you...but when i have a less than positive experience with servers or waiters or staff of a food establishment I patronize...the food just doesnt taste as good as it should. Something about the mood your in and the frustration that just turns the tastebuds off a little...The Braised lamb just didnt hit when I got home... As far as the food from my past experience and Mediterranean concept. 10/10. Customer service in general 6.5/10...my last experience was ok. THis one wasnt...the bowls have so many ingredients that putting a bowl or order together takes a little time...the process can use some efficiency improvement for sure...having distracted employees also not a plus... read more

First time at Cava for both my wife and I. This isn't a review of the taste and quality of the food since both were good. I am giving 2 stars for everything else that matters to us (diners spending our money to enjoy a meal away from home)- ambiance, restaurant cleanliness, staff, and service. The Bridgewater restaurant at 620 Commons Way experience started poorly. The first person of the seemingly all-Latino* staff we encountered didn't say much to us and seemed to have trouble understanding us. I explained that this was my first time and quickly ordered what I had already decided on after studying the menu online before arriving. The second person we encountered couldn't answer a few simple questions about available sides I could add to my order. The last person was the cashier and she was having trouble ringing up our order. Maybe she was new. The restaurant itself was dirty with tables that were sticky and in poor condition. See pics. I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible...maybe that's the idea of "fast casual". Ha ha. Finally, while we were eating a staffer emptying the garbage in the very front of the restaurant was yelling something to the back of the house. And the back of the house were yelling their responses. I mean, literally yelling. And this went back and forth for a few minutes. The place makes you feel you're sitting in a McDonald's at 3pm after school gets out- if you know what I mean. You get the feeling like you sitting there trying to have a conversation during a quick meal didn't matter. We were in their clubhouse and you are not very welcome- just sort of necessary. I will not go back, but I would try another location. PS: *I am a Latino male that grew up in the public housing projects in Brooklyn. I ain't no dainty snob. lol. read more

I got Chipotle vibes when I walked in. Turns out, if I understood correctly, this location used to be a Chipotle. This place, on a random Saturday at 3pm, was hopping. Their selection isn't all that great. Bowls or Pita's. I dunno why but I was expecting more Greek selection but it's obviously Mediterranean fare. My kids were disappointed (mia culpa!). We ordered: Falafel Crunch - Falafel, roasted veggies, hummus, feta, pickled onions, pita crisps, lentils, rice, greens, skhug. They gave us two mini falafels...sad. Steak & Feta Pita - red pepper hummus, feta, pickles, romaine, garlic dressing, Greek vinaigrette. It was good but the meat was too chewy. Greek Chicken Pita - Grilled chicken, hummus, tzatziki, pickles, tomato + onion, olives, feta, romaine, Greek vinaigrette. Probably the best of all the selections. Kids enjoyed that one more but it was overly dressed which made the pita way too soggy and fall apart. Prices are high. Service was ok...very little smiles. Passing this place up next time. read more

I love Cava and only wish there were more locations in New Jersey. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, the service is fast, and the staff is always friendly. I built a bowl with saffron rice, feta, harissa, hummus, chicken, corn, broccoli, pickles, tomato and onion, tomato and cucumber, Persian cucumber, lemon herb tahini, and garlic dressing, and there was more than enough food for two people. As a bonus, there's plenty of parking. read more

Came after a Yelp event because 1) it was close by, 2) I've never had it before, 3) it was open late. The space is nice. Like my fellow Yelper said, it's on the order of Chipotle but just different ingredients. Seems fast casual is the way to go lately so I was excited. The menu was hella confusing. If I hadn't looked at the app prior to coming, I woulda felt I had no other option than the bowls posted. Instead, I asked for the Greek Salad and went from there. Got to pick most of what I wanted except they didnt have feta. What's a Greek Salad without feta?!? BUT I was already halfway to completion so I continued. I seemed rushed and the employee looked at me like I was holding up the line. It was my first time and I felt like a deer in headlights and the staff was in the driver's seat ready to make a kill. In any case, my food was good sans feta. Plentiful also so I go to take the rest home for lunch the next day. read more

I returned here for another bowl and went with different choices this time. I went with another greens and grains bowl but chose the black lentils and romaine lettuce this time around. They really held back on the romaine lettuce I thought. Besides that, I had spicy falafel with avocado, pickled red onions, crazy feta, roasted eggplant, kalamata olives, and the hot harissa vinaigrette. I also had a side of fresh pita, which was warm and crispy. I should have definitely chosen more toppings because the bowl was light, but that's my mistake. There were four falafels, and they had a little kick to them with a slight crisp as well. They were solid. The rest of the toppings once again appeared to be fresh. read more

i wrote this on google as well but Salamoan is such a sweet heart!!! Very attentive, fast and serves with a smile!!!! 5 star service

First experience at a Cava was a little stressful. The food was good but they were out of three of the toppings that we had asked for so we kept having to pivot. We also waited in line for over 20 minutes before we even got to the counter. I'd say I'll order pickup next time but the line for pickup was also a small crowd of at least 15 people crowded around the drink station that did not die down for a long time. Since this was my first time at a Cava I didn't realize that I wasn't offered my complimentary pita until after I was already done with my meal. Are we supposed to ask for them? I'll know for next time then. Guess they were having a bad day. read more
