The chicken bites were so good. The interior was clean and while I'm not a fan of dark wooded interiors, it wasn't overly bright, which is nice. Heard some great things about this place, got a flyer coupon from some store in the area saying I could get a $5 burger on mondays if I brought it in so I thought why not, seems like a great way to try the place. Well, unfortunately I was met with an attitude by the young girl at the counter when going to order with the flyer and before I could even finish my sentence the girl cut me off and said that she didn't have the code for the flyer...alright? I understand the people at the top don't always communicate with the ones doing the work, but an attitude and eye roll isn't needed when I simply and nicely was asking a question and trying to order food. First time dining at Habit Burger so I checked out the menu online. I noticed that their family bundles are not advertised in stores so I decided to order online for dine-in app, which made it easier to customize each burger. We got the family bundle of 2 charburgers, 2 grilled chicken sandwiches, 2 fries, 2 onion rings, and salad. The order was put together promptly, and I received a text when order was placed and when it is ready. The onion rings and salad with ranch was good. I like that you can get some jalapeño at their sauce table stationed. My grilled chicken sandwich was okay. My only complaint is I ordered the grill chicken sandwich with no sauce but somehow my seeded bun is still too moist from the lettuce and tomato so the bun ultimately fell apart after few bites. I've definitely have had better grilled chicken sandwich. Drinks are not included in the family bundle order. The employees also forgot to include the ranch condiments as requested on my online order but luckily this order was dine in order so I'm able to ask for it after finding out they forgot to provide it. If this was a to go order, I'd be missing out on it. Not sure if we'd come back again. The burgers were mediocre at most. There's definitely better burgers out there. read more

I happened to receive an e-mail for their double char burger with cheese for five dollars so we stopped by for dinner the other night. My hubby got the double char burger w/ cheese and I wanted to try something new so I got the Teriyaki char which comes with grilled pineapple, teriyaki sauce, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. We also got our favorite sides, I love the onion rings that come with a ranch dipping sauce and he always gets the sweet potato fries. I had an incredible experience at my first time at Habit Burger. Even though my order was swapped with someone else's, the manager, Mike was so kind to fix everything right away and even provided me with a free shake for the trouble. He was the friendliest manager I've ever met at a fast casual restaurant and really cared about my experience. The lettuce wrap burger was delicious and I did not miss the bun at all as the flavors from the meat and toppings were absolutely amazing. The green bean fries were actually crispy and delicious and served with a side of ranch. Fries were made in small batches so it was guaranteed that every order was hot when served. I wish the fries were a touch saltier but I appreciate that they weren't overly salted for those looking to have less sodium. I have gotten takeout at The Habit many times and various locations but this is my most frequent. I got take out for my office on 3/2/22 and had a great experience. I'd like to start by giving a shoutout to an employee named Mike. He was super friendly to start and extremely detailed and helpful. He even realized I was ordering for a large group to bring back to the office and made sure to review all the details so that we had the correct order in. Thank you, Mike! Always loved the food. Their fries and sweet potato fries are both good. I love that you can get them extra crispy if you prefer. Their Oreo milkshake is one of the best around! I've had the BBQ Bacon Char w/ Cheese before and loved it. Also had the Portabella Char and loved it. Both have great flavor and are not too greasy. I had no expectations since I'd had never heard of this burger place (didn't see in NY). I was excited to try this - clean place and newly built. I ordered the portabella charburger - reminded me of the mushroom burger from Shake Shack. The burger was delicious and juicy. Garlic aioli was bomb! Burger itself is decently priced- $5.75. They also have salads too if you're trying to be healthy. Note- It was a little soggy though because it took about 20-25 min to get back to the place we were staying at. Had to give this place a try to see what is was all about. It seems to be a pretty standard come in and order then get a pager place -- a lot like Shake Shack. Ordered a char burger without pickle and when I said yes to cheese the order called it an American. I guess that's what a char turns into with cheese. For me a side of sweet potato fries and I was good. Sitting down the order took longer than expected to be ready and the place was NOT super busy which was a bit puzzling. The burger itself was good but the weird part was grabbing the burger it felt cold -- the meat was warm but it was like the bread came out of a freezer (not that it had any signs of being frozen). Again, weird. Taste was good but nothing special enough to make this a goto place. The fries were okay thus in the end the place was good but not great. Shake Shack is better (in my opinion) but if you really need a burger in this general area Whole Foods is actually a great option. They will make you a custom order one there and you and take it home or eat it in their little seating area. read more

When I told a Yelper that I miss In-n-Out, he suggested that I try The Habit Burger Grill which according to him, reminds him of In-n-Out. Imagine how excited I was when he said that. But he warned that their meat patties are prepared charbroiled but that I could ask for it to be less charred if I wanted to. Upon first bite...I'm thinking, this ain't no In-n-Out burger! No siree! I ordered mine with lettuce, pickles, mushrooms and avocado. Taste-wise, it was a hot mess. Too many things going on and I thought there was a bitterness to each bite but I couldn't distinguish where it was coming from. Was it the pickles, the patty, mushrooms or cheese? When one of my companions said he thought it was a bit bitter, I knew then that my tastebuds did not lie to me. I will say that even though the patty was charred, it was still surprisingly juicy probably because they grill it right there and then. Both my companions don't mind the charred meat so to each their own. I did however enjoy the French fries and onions rings. I think I would've preferred a Big Mac...me putting my hands over my mouth, oh...did I really just say that? A special shout-out to my Rockstar Yelper, Leonard A., for suggesting this burger place, but it looks like if I want In-n-Out again...I'll have to make another trip out to L.A. Have heard great things about The Habit Burger but reviews here on Yelp tell another story. First - we both ordered the same thing - Santa Barbara Char. One order of fries to split and hubs ordered a drink. About $18, and all in all well worth the price of admission. The burger is a generous size on sourdough and I actually only ate half, bringing the rest for lunch next day. Fries also were enough to share and very good. About the food - A+ , not a single complaint. About the service - A+ again. Very courteous and warm greeting. First time visit acknowledged and took the time to answer any questions. Was a little surprised to see that at 7:00 in the evening there was hardly any patrons. And feel that some of the reviews have been a bit unfair- it is definitely worth giving it a try at the very least. Yes it's a burger joint but not typical and enough of a change from the ordinary to justify having burgers more than once a week. My reason for the four stars is that the bathroom was not clean and was in a bit of disarray. Toilet dirty and the overall layout not conducive to use. You must have the trash bin near the door so that after you have washed your hands, you can grab the door with the paper towel then toss it in the bin on the way out. This was not possible with the layout of this rest room and that is a big problem in a public restroom. Can you fix this please? And maybe have someone do a bathroom check every hour? Without question, a habit I would have no problem breaking. The good: My burger was free (birthday coupon). Restaurant appeared clean, but no one dining inside so that may explain that. Empty at dinner time (Sunday 7 PM approximately) should have made me question my decision. The bad: Where do I begin? The entire ordering process was a nightmare from the minute I walked in. The cashier was unable to process my coupon which says to me less-than-stellar training. A 10+ minute process until the "manager" got involved. Eventually they figured it out but botched the remote device alert (never got it). More people started coming in at that point so the manager just manned the register. Smart move. The crew couldn't have been less enthusiastic. They all looked as though they'd rather be anywhere else and not one of them wearing a mask. Out of free food guilt, I ordered a side of onion rings. The burger was salty beyond compare, the bun too hard, just a complete mess and difficult to eat. And the one item (onion rings) that I did pay for? You walk in and first impression the the place is new amd cozy. The burger prices seem reasonable, went with bacon char, charburger with mushroom, fries, onion rings, and vanilla malt. The condiments on burger were good but seemes a little salty and maybe overcooked? Fries was ok, the onion rings were excellent. Great first experience at this takeout burger joint that recently popped up near the Whole Foods and brand new shopping center off Rt. 22. Our ordering process was smooth, and when you order to-go you get a little buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. It took less than 10 minutes to prepare (granted, it wasn't super busy when we were there). Everything we ordered - which included the Santa Barbara Char, Portabella Char, and tempura green beans - was on point. Probably my favorite thing about the food was NO GREASE OR OIL on anything, including the fried onion rings. It kept everything fresh and flavorful with an airy crunch. The burger itself was good - probably could have been seasoned a bit better and seemed to be heated up rather than grilled, but the toppings tasted good. I wish I had put on ketchup earlier because it really needed the extra tanginess and salt - but I waited until the end because I was eating in the car. You order at the counter and then get a buzzer for when your food is ready. I personally go for the Double Charburger with Cheese. If you've never been to a Habit Burger, I will say that I think its a great value and I definitely like it better than Smash Burger. The burgers come out fresh, hot and tastes pretty good. Ok so H A B I T B U R E R....here's the deal. I'm very aggravated with you today. When someone says dressing on the side. Put the darn dressing on the side there is a reason for that. The thing is as I've told you before you cannot travel with a salad that has dressing on it to your destination because it will be soggy and who wants a soggy dressing drenched salad. I know the Ceaser salad is the only salad that you actually toss. If someone is taking the salad togo or ordering it through curbside or door dash put the dressing on the side. It need something more as far as flavor all I really tasted was the char from the grill and was quite messy . They wrap in paper and you will definitely need to keep it there until the end . Firs time visitor. Placed an online order. Got the family pack. So the burgers were ok. Far from the best but better than McDonalds. For the price it was a decent value. Just fir a stimulant cost I can get to me better food elsewhere. Two issues- their covid precautions. Staff cooking had masks below their nose. Cook staff definitely not staying socially distant. Also the young front staff seemed unconcerned with maskless people placing orders. I get the fact you need to eat maskless but when you are waiting for take out and there are no less than 9 maskless patrons about it's a problem. So my online order texted me saying it was ready. Their fries are great. I especially like their sweet potato fries. My husband loves the onion rings. We've been going there since the pandemic. We put or orders in, found a table and waited for our food. A few minutes later, we noticed the long line of people who just walked in and now looking for tables! We got our food (I got the burger special with avocado. It looked great as it was huge buuuuut I felt like it was lacking in flavor. You get your money's worth on the amount of food you get but don't know if I would have that burger again?
