Stopped here one evening. 9 pc fried chicken - excellent chicken. It was well cooked and tasty. I saw some reviews talking about the chicken being dry - I can assure you this batch was not. The chicken was very moist but well cooked. And the seasoning was also very good with a crunchy coating. Beef gyro over rice - This was an excellent choice for me. The beef was tender and had a great flavor. There was a lot of white sauce on top and a good amount of salad on the side. The rice was very tasty, just a bit much for me. Banana pudding - What a treat for dessert. This had a phenomenal flavor, and the banana slices in between the nila wafer was delicious. We found a new place that we will be returning to. read more

Great place for LATE NIGHT chicken (open until midnight) The owner/chef is very particular about the way he prepares and cooks his food. He goes to extremes about the oil he uses, how fresh the chicken is (no blood inside, much healthier, better taste, etc.) I enjoyed speaking to him about Halal. This morning I had a breakfast sandwich, bacon egg on hard roll. He only uses BEEF bacon of course (no pork allowed). Still a very good taste and good proportion for the price! Great experience, food and it's open late! The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak, 3 piece chicken with fries and a sweet potato pie! Yes I was hungry that day Chicken cheesesteak was flavorful and probably the best I've had in the Jersey area. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Make you put some of the hot sauce on it. The fries were light, crispy and a wonderful side order with my sub and chicken. Food is absolutely disgusting. Chicken sandwich isn't even real chicken, it's a frozen chicken patty. They do not put what's on the sandwiches so they came covered in ketchup and mayo which we both hate. Owner is very arrogant and won't help much but talks a lot of nasty back at you. Would never ever go back and would recommend going to a nice clean restaurant read more

OK food, Cheap Prices, OPEN till 2AM!!!!! I had a 2 piece chicken w/ fries and split mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce with my co worker. The chicken was ok. The breast I had was tender and juice (especially for 1am) but the coating on the chicken was a bit under seasoned for my liking. Don't ask about the drumstick.... DON"T ASK!! (ok, it was a bit dry but not horrible. Again, we were there at 1am.) The mozzarella sticks were very tasty but the marinara sauce.... BLAHHHA!!! Horrible! Always tough to find a good halal fried chicken spot in central jersey and I had no idea this place existed until now. Some of the pieces of chicken were smaller than I expected but the taste was better than most local places. They have plenty of other options in the menu including sandwiches, tenders, wings and rice platters. I will definitely be coming back here again and maybe try something other than just fried chicken. read more

Man that photo on Yelp of the fried chicken looked succulent and awesome! But that wasn't what I got. I was recalling the days I lived in California and the El Pollo Loco chain was everywhere, and searched Yelp for something similar. Yelp Chicken search pulled up Crown, and I was nearby. The reviews were good, but the photo of the beautiful fried chicken got my stomach to growling in a good way. Sadly, I was disappointed. In reality the chicken I received, was shriveled up, kind of dry, and not mouth watering at all. IT WAS OK. It wasn't horrible. But it wasn't what I was hoping for. The search continues! To be fair to this vendor, I will return and try other things on the menu. It appears they do far more than just fried chicken. Hopefully I'll find something else on the menu to compel me to up my rating from so-so to outstanding! read more

Quick service and good chicken, always a family favorite and love that it is halal. Definitely recommend getting the big buckets of chicken.

I ordered from here for delivery. The person I spoke with on the phone did not really try to get my order right. I had ordered a combo and they didn't ask anything about what drink I wanted. The delivery guy took 30 extra minutes to get here and then called to say he was in front of the wrong address and couldn't find me. Even with me on the phone in front of my house, he had trouble finding my address. I was also over charged for my side order. This would be all ok if the food was better. The only thing I learned from this is that Kraft BBQ sauce is pretty good. I tried it from the packets that were delivered for my BBQ boneless wings. We should throw a block party--this is how excited I am. Reasons being: 1. Fried chicken that's literally 5 mins away from my house 2. OPEN UNTIL 4 AM ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY LORRRRRD HAVE MERCY! 3. Fried chicken I foresee an increase in drunk nights at home... On top of that, they deliver! If they deliver late, I will marry this place. So naturally, first let's discuss their chicken, and I'm happy to report it's decent! At Rutgers we have a few Halal chicken places, and in comparison, this place gives the best cook. For a greasy-spoon affair, it's good--it's moist inside and the skin is crispy. Flavor though is on the salty side. But really, if you're here, it's likely that you're not sober, so you won't be deep in thought analyzing the flavor balance. Also I was pretty pleased to see that, just like their competitors, they fry their potato wedges in a batter similar to the chicken. As for other items, I've tried the banana pudding, rice pudding, and a friend has had their gyro. So far, so good. read more

The fried chicken is excellent. So are the whitefish fillets. Did not like the flavor of the mashed potatoes which tasted "vinegary". Fries were just OK. I also noticed they have a nice selection of desserts/cakes/fresh fruits/salads here. Picking up my order, it was hot and freshly cooked. This is a little hole in the wall with about searing space for 10 people. That said, The Fried Chicken is Excellent! The Burgers are very good and the Cheesesteak is my wife's favorite. Halal American food is so hard to find and this is one of the few places that has it. Their secret is a Jamaican Beef Patty with Cheese and Pepperoni (or just cheese even). Try it at least once. They also serve Beef Bacon Egg and Cheese for Breakfast which is my eternal favorite. I've been there at least Fifty (50) times over the past year and consider it to be one of my standard stops. Ha! We found a chippy in South NJ. Super extra bonus points for being open at 11:30pm on a Sunday night. The place was packed (likely due to being open at this hour, and NOT being a bar). Chicken in really good. Juicy golden brown ready when you need it. Not an awesome location but it is all about the taste of that chicken.
