My boyfriend and I had a terrible experience at Panera today. And it wasn't the first time, it was just the last straw on a string of chances we kept giving them. We went in around 8am after dropping a car off to get serviced. We figured it was still pretty early so the bakery should be stocked. He saw the four cheese soufle that he wanted to order on the heatplate so we quickly put in our orders and sat down. A server came by 5 minutes later to tell us they didn't have the spinach and bacon soufle which I ordered. That was fine by me since I could eat the spinach artichoke one just as easily. Then we took a look at the "four cheese soufle" he brought over and turns out it was a spinach and bacon one. Hooray, right? He went back to see if he could grab a four cheese soufle and turns out MAGICALLY between us seeing it and sitting down, they no longer had them. Lets keep in mind we were the only people in there and my boyfriend JUST SAW TWO! Where did they go? Needless to say he was not happy. And that's not the first time Panera has let us down. They advertise their togo orders pretty aggressively so one day I went ahead and called to order two soufles. One four cheese and one spinach and bacon. We went in to pick them up and the cashier had no idea what I was talking about when I said I called in an order. She asked everyone in the kitchen and it was this big commotion and i felt like an idiot. Eventually they were like "Oh yeah! Here it is!" And we paid and went home. When my boyfriend bit into his soufle it was the wrong flavor. They have him ham and swiss. Fail. Now I've had a preexisting dislike for Panera and the only reason I've gone as much as I have lately was because my boyfriend introduced me to their soufles which were--in my opinion--the only palatable food option there. But previously, I am scarred from ordering a turkey bacon sandwich with a tiny wimpy piece of bacon and brocoli cheddar soup that was lukewarm and all-around gross. I have been here several times and not been impressed. Other than almost always having to wait for my food, the staff is not very friendly. They have changed their menu so much, I almost don't recognize it! I feel like Panera was great when it first opened but now that it has been around for a while, its popularity is quickly deteriorating. Panera has been my source of lunch with friends (who want to dine healthy) for years now. This location is particularly hard to get to since you cannot directly turn left into the center, but not terribly difficult to get to. I would recommend getting their half and half "you choose" combo. Although this will still run you over 5 dollars, you can choose 2 items from a variety of small soups, sandwiches, or salads. The only catch is you cannot choose their "signature" stuff (which tends to be the better stud). What's up with that? The food is already expensive for a soup and salad so why can't I get any salad? Go figure. -1 star for inconsistent soups (sometimes too salty), price (reasonable but limited), and location. Free wifi is a plus though, but not enough to earn it 5 stars. read more

The bagels are awesome, the coffe is watered down and they get really business in the morning. They messed up my order but maybe because it was very business. Still that's not an excuse. And... i asked for to-go and they gave me half my order for dine in... argh. I think they need to establish a better system. They should have people who retrieve your food and others to work the cashier. It sometimes urks me when the same person is taking my money and also handling my bagel. I mean I'm sure they wear gloves and handle with care... but still it would save time and get the line moving faster. read more

Had dinner here with the family. A pretty good variety of soups, sandwiches, and pasta. Woh I like that. Who would have thunk. One of the few places in town where you can get a bread bowl and soup. Oh how I miss San Fran. Back tot he review. They have great desserts too. One thing that I like is that they have these electronic marker things that go off when your food is ready. We left ours on the table, took our kids to the bathroom. When we came back, the food was there. Pretty nifty. Nothing fancy and nothing bad. All in all an ok experience, but it's not cheap, you have to put your own dishes away, and they don't wipe down the tables. Any time you have a self serve element, the dining area is usually not up to par. Just pay attention next time. In a restaurant where you would get seated, you never let someone seat you at a dirty table so why one at a self serve Panera Bread or even Starbucks for that matter? read more

Prices are decent, the food is decent, the coffee is okay. Free wifi though. To me it was just very average. Nothing really wowed me and nothing really turned me off. Parking can get bad since it shares a parking lot with other restaurants that are packed and a lot of people do come here for food and wifi, but this place is just alright to me. read more

We've been here a few times over the past month working on grad school applications and whatnot. I don't usually like doing work in restaurants, but this beats the library and other coffee shops around. The food is alright...usually salty, but this seems kind of standard for their food that I've had at other Panera places. Coffee is pretty good. Love this place! I come often to study because there's always plenty of room and outlets to plug in my laptop. I love their new touch screen kiosks to be able to edit my meals to my liking and log in to my panera account to see what rewards I can use! Tonight there has been great customer service by the 2 guys handing out the food and drinks. They've checked up on tables repeatedly and have great customer service. I used to study here 3-4 days a week spending $13-$25 each day! PROS: great to study when it's not busy, delicious food and drinks for brain power, healthy feeling too CONS: it gets packed with people who do not purchase anything (maybe one drink) and take all the tables with outlets. Employees can be very air headed (females) or just plain rude/stupid (males). Tables and floor are usually dirty with crumbs or toddler snacks from home, like goldfishes etc. I came here 08-2012 and the food portions are hilarious. I ordered my usual you pick 2 meal. My 4 yr old daughter was able to finish the half ceasar salad (I was able to actually count 23 pieces of lettuce!), a small macaroni, wheat bread and an M&M cookie. I ordered it to share with her but she ended up eating it pretty much all by herself because the portion was so small. I got about 3 bites total. Very dissappointing... I no longer come here because I realized that I was spending up to $150 a week eating here and studying. I decided it wasn't worth it. An employee was handing out free baguets to all the customers except me. It was ridiculous because 2 teens who didn't purchase anything and were just facebooking each other on their laptops at the table next to me was given the last 4 baguets. Normally I would not care about it, but it was the principle that mattered to me. I had been there for 4 hours studying already and made purchases of a minimum of $16 (I always order the same things) and this young buck walks towards me with the baguets, hands them to every customer around my table, makes eye contact and smiles at me atleast 3 times AND STILL SKIPS ME and then gives the last 4 baguets to those annoying teens and turns around and smiles at me one more time. I stayed another half an hour and realized that I was spending way too much money at a place that struggled with customer service because they hired young people that had no work ethics. read more

Im very upset at the fact that first of all, my order wasn't made. I waited 10 min and then I asked for it. No one knew anything about it. Didn't show up on their screen. I placed my order on the kiosk thinking its faster, WRONG! My card got charged but there was no order to be made. Anyways, they made it and I asked them for NO ONIONS. Guess what? When I get home I take a bite of my panini and there they were, nasty onions. Love Panera but tonight was a bad night for them. The girl making the sandwiches even repeated "no onions". Third time coming here. The first 2 times were great. This time I was disappointed. Ordered the frontega chicken panini and broccoli cheese. The tomato in the panini was not fresh. Ordered the Turkey Avocado BLT and my guest ordered the Asiago Steak Sandwich. Both came on slightly dirty plates. My apple was dusty too. I was pretty surprised. It's the fourth time I've been to this particular Panera and maybe a dozen to the chain. This is the second problem like this I've had. I didn't complain because I didn't really want to hear the new excuse. Over all, the food was great but the hygiene factor drops the score. I'm home sick & asked my husband to pick me up pasta. I call to place my order & am told I need to provide them with my cc number or download their app which still requires me to provide my cc. This is ridiculous. I asked for a manager and was told 'I'm in a central location ' are you kidding me? Poor customer service. I'm so tired of all these automated services and young adults with no customer service skills. I usually don't write reviews especially now with the times I know everyone is doing their best. That does not however excuse poor customer service. I ordered thos morning a large hazelnut coffee and asiago bagel sliced woth cream cheese for curbside pick up 30 mins before I was going to be there. I usually go inside but fogured id give curbside a try. I got to the store and parked where I needed to and marked I was here. 10 minutes later still nothing. At this point I was going to be late for work. I went inside waited another 5 minutes and asked the manager about my order ive been waiting for. He said "oh we don't have anyone to go outside right now" - what kind of answer is that? Don't provide a service you are not able to uphold. Then he went to look for my order and brought me the bag and poured my coffee. I left very disappointed in his answer. I got home 10 minutes late for work and when I open my bag I have a toasted bagel which I didnt ask for and no cream cheese. I always tip well especially during these times cause I know its rough but this was just awful service. I will more than likely be canceling the my Panera Subscription. Very disappointed. read more

I'm normally a fan of Panera, but this location was very disappointing. When my meal was served, the cutlery that came with it was so dirty/sticky - as if it wasn't properly washed. There were chip crumbs and dirt all over the carpet, and the dining area had the smell/ambiance of what I remember a McDonalds play place to be like. As I was exiting the restroom, there were about 4 people in deep sleep in the back tables. Panera, you should probably ask folks not to do this. read more

I bought 2 dozen of bagel and to my surprise, they shoved the bagel inside the plain plastic bag and put it inside the huge paper bag. i have to buy cheese spread because they don't give the spread for free any more. I ask why not put the bagel in the box i was told they trying to save boxes. They dont use boxes anymore. I took it to work and they made fun of me because the bagel looks like it was the left over bagel from last night. The way they present their product is not inviting for me anymore.
