Quick service and great people always during my stops at pane e pronto. Perfect for on the go sandwiches, coffee, premade lasagna, sauce, bakery items and so much more. Definitely a great place to stop into when in the strip district!

Pane è Pronto is a fantastic Italian takeout spot from the owners of DiAnoia's Eatery & Pizzeria Davide, both located a few blocks down the street. Don't be fooled by it's little size, this place has SO much to offer, including 8 types of house-baked breads and homemade ready-made dishes to go, including sandwhiches, soups, dips, spreads, sauces, fresh pasta, etc. Everything they make is incredibly delicious - and they have tons of vegan options as well. Great spot to pick up a ready-made lunch and grab some fresh pasta and bread to cook for up dinner. They also offer catering as well. Truly delectable, everything the put out is 10/10!

Located a block from its owners other establishments DiAnoia's Eatery and Pizzeria Davide, Pane è Pronto's is their Italian food market. Features of the market include fresh bread, ready-made meals to take home (including three cheese lasagna), sandwiches, bakery items, dry and fresh pasta, pints of their marinara or pesto sauce, and more in the fridge and freezer coolers. The food hot bar seen in older reviews photos has apparently been replaced with a cooler display case. Service was helpful and friendly. Note: They offer online ordering in advance and catering. This was my first visit and will not be the last!

This place is simply awesome. They are specialized in excellent Italian baked goods, and they truly fill that niche excellently. This place is associated with the famous DiAnoia's, which I have yet to try, but I am now excited to. At Pane e Pronto, I ordered the pistachio bomboloni and a chocolate chip cookie. Both of the items were absolutely excellent! The entire bakery has a ton excellent Italian baked goods, like delicious-looking breads and pastries that I will try next time. As for the classic chocolate chip cookie, it was great! Decent price for the portion ($2.50), but it was delicious. Packed with tons of chocolate and quite soft. Not too sweet either. Great! But the even more delicious item was the incredible pistachio filled bomboloni. Bomboloni is somewhat similar to an Italian donut. The dough is covered in sugar and vey soft. It is stuffed with an immense amount of delicious pistachio filling. Somewhat creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. I loved it! All in all, I thought this place was amazing and I will definitely be back. The food was delicious and they have tons of great Italian delicacies for sale. It's a bit expensive, but I believe the price is worth the delicious food.

Excellent small-but-large bakery and carry-out place. Small in terms of the front area with a display case, a couple small fridges, and a table laden with fresh bread. Large if you look in the back, and realize this is where much of the magic happens for the sister restaurant down the street and a thriving catering biz. Great mix of Italian baked goods, sammiches, coffee, bread, and all kind of small and large takeout options. Try the focaccia and grab a dipping sauce or jam along with anything else you get here.

Those little cakes on the top shelf would have come home with me if I hadn't stocked up on deserts elsewhere.

Much of my review is based on my personal preferences. We ordered the mangia mangia meal, which comes with pasta, two large meatballs, salad, bread, and marinara sauce. We also picked up a couple of day old bread at half price. I must preface this by saying that even though I am Swedish Hungarian, I make great pasta from scratch and tasty sauce. And my meatballs are darn good too. I thought the food was good but except for the salad, not overwhelmingly better than mine. The salad, though, was terrific much much better than mine. I prefer crusty bread, but the cacia has good flavor. As does the focaccia, another thing I make. But the best focaccia is at this little place in San Francisco's North Beach, called Liguria. Help was friendly and definitely 5 star. Serving size was plenty big for 2 people. I chose Casarecce for the style of pasta and was very pleased with that. I think next time, I need to find something a little more out of the ordinary. But I'm glad we came.

    Pistachio bombolone

Pistachio bombolone were fantastic I highly recommend them. Good store with a fun small atmosphere and plenty of food and pastry options, I will be back for sure.

Love this lunch spot! Stopped in for some soup and a puff pastry and loved it. I got the seasonal roasted veggie soup, which was delicious and very heavy on the veggies. Not pictured is the ham and cheese puff pastry (ate it too quick to get a pic!)

A great little bakery/deli in the strip affiliated with D'Anoias just a few blocks away. They offer a selection of fresh-baked breads, pastries, cookies, frozen and ready-to-eat meals, noodles and side dishes. From the moment I entered the Pane e Pronto store I was immediately in awe of not only the delicious scents of baked goods wafting through the air and the eye-pleasing display of the delicious and beautiful baked goods I was greeted by the friendly and oh-so helpful and accommodating staff.  It was an experience and I want to experience that again. :) We tried the take-home lasagna, they cost $10 each and 3 of them would make a huge standard size full lasagna pan. I reheated after I froze and it was STILL delicious. We also tried some cookies and some of the savory pastries and I am still thinking about them! So good a must try!

This was a long walk down the strip. The meat balls are bland. The lasagna is not that good.

Really enjoyed the carrot vegan sandwich and I am a meat eater! The person working recommended it and it did not disappoint! So fresh.

I got their pistachio…read moreeclair, ham and cheese croissant, and almond croissant -- all tasted wonderful and light. The croissants were great when you lightly air fry/toast them if you don't eat them right away. In Lawrenceville, it's a small location with a couple of outdoor seating but none inside. However, it is a chain so you might have one in your little area. My only thing is that the pistachio eclair is very sweet (so if you don't have a sweet tooth, maybe I'd go for another subtler dessert). I saw they have a deal where you can get a baguette, sandwich, and drink for $7. Good deal imo considering the quality of their bread, and it's a good excuse to buy a sweet treat with it!

The flavors were balanced, the pastry was buttery and delicate, and they looked as good as they tasted. The total came to $50.65, which feels pretty standard for a French bakery once you understand the baseline is a bit higher than your typical American dessert spot. For the quality, it's well worth it. Consistently great, reliably tasty, and perfect for special occasions or whenever you want to treat yourself. The staff is friendly. It's usually busy here and not conducive to eating inside.

They have two cases of their delicious looking pastries, one table of discounted items, and a case serving hot items. Open that case and serve yourself the hot mini quiches and empanadas. Started with a mini quiche and a beef empanada. Hubby liked his quiche. I'm not a fan of olives and they were all over my beef empanada. Will not be getting that one again. The kind young lady behind the case helped us order our very first Burnt Almond Torte. It comes in different sizes and we chose the bar as it easily serves two. She even gave us sporks to eat it with. We really loved the Burnt Almond Torte. The inside has a soft, moist vanilla cake layered with a thin layer of icing and enrobed with more icing and topped with the buttery, crunchy almonds. We will be back for more.

I started with the quiche and enjoyed it; the crust was just average but the egg filing was very good. My wife was not a fan of the empanada so we will not get that again. It was around 10 hours before we tried our Burnt Almond Torte...wow! That dessert is something that I will eat again, and again. The toasted almonds were soooo good! They were crunchy, crispy, and perfect. The Bar Cake had a white cake inside and icing on the outside; it was heavily coated in those almonds. The person who assisted was knowledgeable about the items to a point; she did not eat anything in the bakery so it was by observation. Don't care, that Burnt Almond Torte is the real deal!
