This Panda Express is my go-to in Irvine. A great secret that not a lot of people seem to know is their Party Trays. I usually order a Party Tray of Chow Mein and it lasts me for the whole day (and sometimes even the next day!). The best part is that it only costs around $15 which is a great price considering the large amount of Chow Mein you're getting. Also, they cook it fresh from the wok when you order this so you know you're getting a hot batch. I would encourage anyone to try out the Party Tray Chow Mein! read more

Horrible experience. Rudest workers I have ever met at a panda. The environment was dirty, the food looked old, and good costumer service is nonexistent. We were first met with a lady who clearly did not want to be there, then the next workers were rude and sloppy. I asked for teriyaki chicken with white rice. To drink we order from the Tea Bar, Raspberry Lemonade. Then of course for dessert we will order Fortune Cookies, for we must know our fortune for the day! I was here cause my son really likes their orange chicken, and for him to like anything besides udon, soba, rice and hamburgers, I try to please. They have a nice setup and chairs/tables outside to eat. It's a nice location to people watch which is what I do while he eats his orange chicken kids meal. Their kids meal is a pretty good deal -- one serving of let's say "orange chicken" plus a heaping filler or either fried rice or lo-mein, a cookie for dessert and a small drink all for less than $5. Its the same at any Panda Express and so its consistent and meets his needs. If we're able to take a doggy bag home, he opts for their basic meal instead. Yesterday, I checked in and noticed that the Duchess, Alice was seated at the table next to us. I could overhear her talking about some great Argentinian restaurant on Melrose but I couldn't catch the name. This Panda express location has the hot and sour soup at a good price. The employees even remember me sometimes and what I usually get and have had no problem with the food. The location is good. Right next to it is alot of outdoor seating, one area is a "clock" that at night has a very nice ambience. It all glows and is relaxing. It has a little more selection than the other ones I have been to, which is nice. In general I like Panda Express already, most locations at least. read more

Panda is my favorite restaurant but this experience has entirely turned me off from the company. My girlfriend placed an order at 2:30pm and paid for it as a surprise for me and had a scheduled pick-up time of 5:30pm during my 30 minute lunch break. At 5:30pm my order was not ready and they took my details and made it appear as if they were getting the order ready. It should have already been prepared but oh well, I didn't mind waiting a little. Emphasis on little. I waited patiently until I noticed that they were only helping other customers and online orders. At this point it had been 10 minutes and it was 5:40pm. I then asked their cashier about my order who bluntly told me to take it up with their manager who happened to be on break. I waited a few more minutes and then called them on the phone while in the store. All 5 employees looked at the phone, looked at me on my phone and ignored it. The entire time, one guy was doing jack shit and just tossing a rag in between his hands standing in the middle of the kitchen. So I walked out and called again. This time they answered. I explained the situation and without saying a word they just passed the phone to the manager. I told him I was outside and I walked in to speak to him. This was at 5:44-5:48. At that point it had been 18 minutes since my order should have been ready. I had clocked out at 5:26pm to make it to panda to collect my order. If you know math, that's 22 minutes, over half my break gone waiting for food. After some excuse about being out of the store picking something up, and then checking their orders, the manager comes back with my food. All this ended at 5:54pm. I barely made it back to my workplace to clock back in on time. Haven't had a chance to eat my food or even make sure the order is correct. This is unacceptable. Fix this shitty service. I don't feel that management was at fault here, but the basic staff definitely did not give two shits about my order. read more

Overall, my experience was not pleasant. Most of the servings were almost empty, the workers had very awful attitudes, and were very slow in making new batches. I had to wait around 15 minutes just to get some green beans. Some workers were just standing around on their phones watching videos. On rare occasions I will eat here, it is one of the places I can take Chief in the Irvine Spectrum. I usually get the combo with 3 items for $7.95 (speciality items add $1 more) and a drink. I try to mix things up by getting a shrimp item (usually the Honey Walnut Shrimp), chicken item (Orange Chicken) and beef item (Bejing Beef). The restaurant gives a good amount of rice or chow mein (I get the rice, but it is on the bland side) and a good amount of the entrees. There is a decent selection of Pepsi products to drink and there is a good amount of outside seating. The only problem is the quaility of the meat used could be a better. I realize this is fast food, but the chicken and beef are on the lower end of the quality scale. This is also the reason I don't frequent this place more often. read more

I never dreamed she would be ignoring a paying customer on purpose, so I sat at a table for a minute until she was able to wait on me. And nothing. She wouldn't come out to take the order at all. It's Panda Express. It's basically the McDonald's of Chinese food so you should have your expectations appropriately set before dining here, and I'll write this review with that in mind. I visit this location for lunch probably twice a month. There are a couple different people who scoop your food and the older Asian lady tends to give a little more food than the others. The guy working the register is courteous but he's forgotten my soy sauce and hot sauce twice now. For what you get I find Panda Express to be a little pricey so always be sure to fill out the survey on the back of your previous receipt beforehand - this will get you a free item with your meal. Without this I wouldn't eat here nearly as often, if ever. So with mediocre food at mediocre prices, why do I eat here? Because if you order the right items, you can get a large meal with relatively few calories. This is my standard order: 3 item combo with half steamed rice, half steamed vegetables, string bean chicken, mushroom chicken and broccoli beef. This comes to: 685 calories, 43.5g protein, 37g fat, 85g carbs. Yeah, that's a lot of carbs so your macro breakdown isn't ideal but it's also 685 calories for a 3-item combo, at least a meal and a half unless you have a huge appetite. I'm giving this place 3 stars on the condition that you know what to order and that they keep allowing you to take the online survey for a free item. read more

This Panda Express is located at the Spectrum. It has a very good interior appearance and one can sit outside to eat. As my friends did not accompany me while I was here I once again had to guess how to order since I wasn't prompted what to do (same as last time at that other location) but I managed to get through it without being awkward. (I'll have to bring them next time and observe how they do it.) Anyway, after getting through the line, paying went quickly. For those that pay with cash, they have an automatic change dispenser.
