Panda Express is the best option for healthier fast food that is high in value and packed with flavor. This location loads it up with the portion size, filling the box to the brim. The food is consistent and delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is indoor and outdoor seating that is clean and well maintained.

Went to try the new items on the menu. The Dynamite Chicken was definitely more spicy than the previous spicy items featured though it didn't really have much of a sweet and sour flavor. Pepper Chicken had really tasty chicken, but too much pepper. Overall, I would still prefer getting the regular offerings. Chow Main and Super Greens were good. The plate portion size was a good amount. Prices are reasonable, just slightly more than other locations in the area. This location can become very busy at certain times and online orders tend to be slower than usual.

Located in the Irvine Spectrum Center. They have tables inside, but it was full so I had to look for seating nearby. On a Saturday night seating was a little tough to find. Had to wait for a family to finish up to use a table. I placed my order on the app and then went inside to pick it up. I went in a little earlier than my quoted 20 minute wait time. There was a clearly marked pick up area. The cashier interacted with me and then went to work on the order since it wasn't ready yet . All of the lid holders in the drink area had some kind of fuzz or residue in the crevices. Yuck. Not appetizing. My meal was half fried rice, half regular rice, mushroom chicken, honey, sesame chicken. The white rice was crunchy and not soft . The honey sesame chicken was the better tasting of the two and I received more pieces of chicken in that serving.

    Missing grilled teriyaki chicken

Located inside the Irvine Spectrum mall, I've visited this location twice, and both times ended with some type of disappointment, first time, tried to redeem a birthday reward that was expiring but was unsuccessful, even though the reward didn't expire till the next day. Second time today, was missing the grilled chicken teriyaki in a takeout mobile app order that we had to wait cause the order wasn't ready. Although it's relatively spacious inside, it seemed very hectic as people were trying to get their order in store and online order side was somewhat disorganized. Last time, I recalled someone's order falling on the floor off the counter due to it being very chaotic inside. The food itself tastes a bit greasy, and too oily but I suppose it is fast Chinese food. Try at your own risk and maybe just order in store if you're hoping to get your full order.

First and last time ordering a to go order from this specific location, as you can see the super greens are all wilted old and disgusting. I'm not sure which manager or employees even cooked that and served it out to customers, on top of that, they forgot my entire kids meal entrée no chicken just the disgusting wilted old slimy super greens and white rice on the side. I will say the manager I believe her name is Gabrielle handled the matter very quickly and professionally, and returned to my refund right away with no hassle

I'm somewhat shocked by the amount of negative reviews this location has. As Irvine residents, we visit the spectrum almost on a weekly basis and will visit this location for lunch or dinner once in a while. Each visit has been a positive one. Yes, the lines can get pretty long on weekends, but the lines does move pretty quickly considering the amount of guest and workers there are. Item proportions are generous and fresh. The restaurant isn't the biggest, but clean and spacious with plenty of seating outside.

The lamb skewers were juicy and perfectly seasoned with cumin, and the grilled beef tendon skewers had an amazing crispy, chewy texture. The soup dumplings were full of flavorful broth, and the braised beef knife-cut noodles were chewy with large, tender chunks of beef. We also tried the beef paomo for the first time--it was warm, comforting, and packed with rich flavor. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and after chatting with the staff we learned the owner is from Xi'an, which explains how authentic everything tasted. If you're craving Northwestern Chinese food in Irvine, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

The menu is only on the kiosk or on their website so look ahead. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived so we didn't mind since we had kids. However, there were wet signs on the floor and buckets everywhere to catch a leak. It was very chaotic. We ordered the crispy beef and pho inspired beef noodles. The crispy beef was thinly sliced and fried before getting tossed in their citrus glazed sauce. It got too sweet after a few bites. The "pho" was okay, it had lots of meat but the broth was something I couldn't put my finger on. The noodles were "unlimited". I asked for a second bowl of noodles and were given knife cut, when I originally had thin. I don't mind it but if it were anyone else, they may have cared? Maybe it was a bad day..

IYKYK. ;) Ordered the orange chicken, Lao Gan Ma fried noodles, and the beef roll. The orange chicken was really good, but I fell in love with the beef roll. The bread was flaky, the beef was incredibly tender, and it was packed with flavor. I'd order that every single time. The noodles were good, just not my favorite of the three dishes. That's not a knock on them. The other two were just that much better. Folks, this was takeout! I figured it wouldn't be nearly as good at home as it would be fresh at the restaurant. Wrong!. By the time we got home, everything still tasted fresh and tasted *chef's kiss*. AND the leftovers were just as good the next day. The orange chicken crisped right back up in the air fryer, the noodles reheated well on the stovetop, and nothing tasted like it had spent the night in the fridge. I'll definitely be dining in next time. Northern Cafe: 10/10!

They make a small hole in the pancake so the juices can drain instead of staying trapped inside, which makes it easier to eat. The hot pot was okay, although some of the broth had a slightly unusual spice taste. The cold dishes were not bad, but be warned--the spicy ones are really spicy! Unfortunately, the service was terrible, and the wait can be very long during dinner hours. The noodle soups were also way, way, way too salty for our taste. Pricing is not bad--pretty average for Irvine. Overall, there are definitely some good dishes here, especially the Xiao Long Bao and spicy fried chicken, but the service, long wait, and overly salty noodle soups were disappointing.

I've had them delivered and they were still juicy and crispy, buns weren't soggy at all. I liked the mapo tofu I've also had, not much to comment on, standard but tasty! I also tried the shandang spicy chicken. It was incredibly tasty and fragrant, the whole room smelled like it the moment I opened the bowl (which was probably 3 times bigger than the mapo tofu container, very big!). My one issue, I'm used to more "whole" bone-in chicken like legs and thighs etc, but the chicken was butchered into bite-sized pieces with pretty much each piece having bone in it. I'm not used to searching through bite-sized chicken pieces for bone so it was a bit of a chore. I did it anyways because it tasted amazing! The beef roll is a MUST. Unlike some places where it can be dry, theirs had the perfect amount of sauce and was so good. Also get the lava egg yolk steamed buns. So soft, moist, fresh, and delicious. But surprisingly, one of the biggest standouts was their drinks. They use real tea, and their taro milk tea completely changed my mind about taro drinks. It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not.
