Located at Irvine Spectrum seating is inside and outside, but restaurant itself is small in the inside. They have multiple kiosk to order which helps out a lot this place gets crowded. The food was made fresh so it took a bit, wish I got the sandwiches instead of a burger. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food was good. read more

I visited Melt for the first time and had a great experience. I ordered the 3 Cheese Classic Melt (with classic crispy bread), garlic Parmesan fries, a strawberry shake, and a soda. Everything was delicious. The 3 Cheese Classic Melt was especially impressive--simple, but really well done. The garlic on the fries was bold and flavorful, which I loved. It was very easy to place my order on the mobile app. I wish it would allow me to select dine in when ordering because it automatically submits the order as a to go. It's a waste of paper packaging and it makes the fries a little soggy. They were really nice about it when I mentioned the soggy fries and actually made me a new order. That was unnecessary but definitely appreciated. The three cheese classic was yummy. With a beautiful cheese pull and perfectly crispy and buttery bread. I've seen The Melt for years but did not realize they serve more than just grilled cheese because I never stepped inside the store until recently to look at their menu. So I came back and ordered a burger for my husband tonight. They were busy as most restaurants there on a Friday night. Hubby really liked his burger. He said it was "pretty good". I went to the melt after many years. I remember when they first opened and I loved the restaurant. I couldn't justify going often since it felt unhealthy, but after trying it again I have changed mind. It is so good. Buttery cheesy goodness and I haven't had anything like it in along time. My experience with The Melt is better than I thought it might be. It is a small, take out restaurant in the Spectrum, next to Dave and Busters. They have a lot of choices of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. Here are a few of the positives: the food is hot and tasty. I loved my patty melt. The loaded fries were not just good, but excellent. It reminded me of poutine in Canada. We also had a burger that was excellent. The food value is great, large portions, for a very reasonable price. Most of their menu is around $10.00 My wish list would be larger cups for drinks. To balance out the heavy food, maybe some cold salad choices? Macaroni Salad? Potato salad? Fruit? Other choices besides Cesar Salad. This place is highly recommended by me. I do want to come back and try other items. The staff is friendly, their are seats inside and outside. As I try to be a bit healthy when I can I will say I got my Meltburger wrapped in lettuce and I did feel like this picture did not do enough justice they really PACK the meat and cheese into your burger and it's DELECTABLE. The melt offers some extremely tender burgers in the vicinity, mouthwatering and eye opening burgers. Honestly I would say the price reflects the quality, you're getting a burger plus fries which cost extra that is comparable to some other burger joints, but according to the workers here this is made with Wagyu beef. On a busy day in the spectrum be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for your food, the fries were seasoned amazing, I should have asked for some salt on the burger it was a tad on the bland side. Never the less tender and packed full which I love! It's a small inside, you'd be lucky if you got a seat, but like the spectrum provides, there's always outdoor tables you can find. Might be worth ordering to go just for that reason. read more
