But they were both relatively under-seasoned. The restaurant itself was relatively clean and the service was relatively fast. There are two lines to order - one with a staff member and one directly behind as a self-ordering service. Waited roughly 25 minutes for our order. Steak & Cheese ($10.99): Thinly sliced sirloin with grilled onions, provolone cheese, red peppers, and jalapeños. For some reason I was thinking there would be strip steak and not shaved pieces. Overall, not a bad sandwich but it would have been a lot better with pickled jalapeños instead of raw. Sweet Potato Fries ($4.19): Your average sweet potato fries, though the seasoning was uneven and a tad on the saltier side. One worker even followed up with me to see if I liked the choice that I asked that he make for me. The food was really good, I have no complaints there. I ordered a the Classic Crispy Chicken, my mom and daughter ordered burgers, specifically the Swiss and Shroom, and Spicy Mission, respectively. My mom's had to prepared in a very specific way, which was beyond their norm, I'm sure, and they nailed it! They also thoroughly enjoyed the sweet potato fries, saying they were the best they've had at any restaurant, it's typically all they order when it comes to fries at any restaurant that offers them. Stopped by The Melt today for dinner. We decided to do takeout since it was pouring so hard. Customer service is wonderful here. The staff were very helpful with helping us decide which items to order. We ended up getting the Mac Daddy with a side of fries and strawberry lemonade. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Everything was packaged nicely. As for the food, delicious and large portions. The entire meal can easily feed 2 people. The Mac Daddy grilled cheese was toasted to perfection and loaded with tons of mac & cheese topped with so much bacon! Every bite was packed with so much flavor! As for the fries, they are seasoned and pairs well with the grilled cheese. You can't go wrong with them. The strawberry lemonade is very refreshing and the best strawberry lemonade we've ever had!
