I'm not sure how they prepare for the dinner rush, but at 5:30 in the evening, I wouldn't expect to be asked if I'm willing to wait 10-15 minutes for fried rice to get made. This was a big fail on their part, removing express from their namesake for sure! I went with noodles instead and they were merely meh... and steamed rice is steamed rice. I frequent this Panda Express a few times a month, it's one of the better takeout spots in Eagle River. Usually not a fan of chain spots but this one is pretty good and consistent. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is continually clean and organized. I enjoy that they always welcome you when you come in and offer the samples of what on the bar. They usually ask you to round up on your bill for Children's Hospital and thank you for the donations. It's a good cause so I don't mind. All in all A safe bet if you don't want to cook and want something quick and easy. read more

They sold spoiled fried rice (smelled rotten, and I spit out bite that tasted super spoiled, before smelling it). I called and asked them to check the fried rice since it was clearly spoiled. They seemed quite unconcerned and asked if I wanted more (no, I don't want more spoiled fried rice!). I brought it back and they seemed so unfazed. The manager was right there - no apology. I'll totally eat there again, love Panda, but smelling it before I drive away next time!!! read more

For a national chain restaurant, my experience is always positive. Big parking lot so easy to get around. Lots of choices and an easy to read and understand menu. Nice and helpful employees aid in your selections. The food is hot and the area is clean. All positive! But the prices are high and the portions are average. read more

The food is pretty good when they have it most of the time they were out of many choices or they run out while you're in the line. The workers are very uncordial for the most part I've been here five times and I've had bad Luck five times I will not be back Most of my friends and family have warned me not to go here. My fellow coworkers don't go here anymore either for the same reason one of my friends came in with me the other day, and when the next woman said, can I help you, I said, my friend is next she said no I will help your friend as soon as I am done by the time my friend could do their order they were out of what they had wish to order, because the big party behind took the food. Myself and my three children were here for dinner yesterday. We have been in a rush all day and had no time to cook. We all ate including the 7 month old. We all have been puking and other gross stomach issues all night and morning and today. Guessing we got some food poisoning. VERY hit and miss... 50/50 at best. Tonight, enough to make me post here. 1st, when the food is fresh, and correct, it is good and I do enjoy it. About half of the time it is either poorly served, old-ish, wrong, or a combination of the three. Got home this evening, opened the container, wrong entree and SWIMMING in sauce. Correct on the receipt but wrong entree in the container. So, I called to get a credit and the feeling that I came away with was that I was trying to scam them or something. I am "mandated" to bring my receipt in the next time in and try to apply the credit for the wrong entree. Doesn't feel like a commensurate level of management for Eagle River... Another time I ordered teriyaki chicken, got home, no teriyaki sauce. Called them and was told they would make sure they gave me the sauce next time I come by? (SMH, really?) There are many more times orders have been more than a little off or cold/old entree remnants passed on and served. The main reason for this post is that I hope management/ownership reads this and tries to improve the service. People make mistakes, it's all in how you handle them. read more

This place has horrible service. They store manager was rude and very uncooperative. Our last pickup order the left out a lot of what we paid for. Called in and were told we could get compensated on our next order. Well, this was not the case, in fact after placing this order the manager cancelled it with our even telling us. Overrated and not authentic. For good Asian food go to Kim's, Jimmy's, or Fried Rice Express. All are bigger portions, less greasy, more authentic, better atmosphere, and local businesses that have been around for ages. Would hate to see this poor tasting chain run our locals into the ground. I think Eagle River fast food restaurants are the best. The tofu and eggplant is stellar with chow mein. Vegetable spring rolls were crispy but they forgot sweet and sour dipping sauce. The food was fresh. The fortune cookie future prediction was relatable and ironic. Maybe it was the copious amount of indica, however this was pleasing to my palate. I never got around to posting this review because I haven't been back since. Last time I came to this location there was three long black hairs intertwined with my fried rice. As one who eats out a lot, Panda Express has been a welcome addition to the Eagle River restaurant scene - especially as an alternative to the various sandwich and fries incantations. I like fast casual places because they're not only that, but perhaps just as obviously for the price. To make PE even more affordable, it's so easy to add additional items so that for a little more you've got enough for two meals - making each meal at least pretty equivalent, if not cheaper, than the typical burger/fry combo. It's also nice to find a place that serves vegetables without making a reservation and having a server. Just one example, the Super Greens are good by themselves, and even better if you add teriyaki sauce to them (like a salad dressing). It's so easy to find fried chicken at multiple places, that two of my personal favorites here are the Teriyaki Chicken and String Bean chicken (and of course, they have the popular orange chicken too). With all the employee turrnover in the restaurant business, long-term employees take more pride in their work and in the restaurant, and at PE Lerma and Christine seem like they've been there forever. Even tho I only visit once a week, they remember my usual order before I come up with it. They also do a great job of keeping food fresh by not over preparing too much in advance. Even if that means having to wait a few minutes while they cook something, it's well worth it - plus you got time to pay and get a drink, and they'll bring the food to your table. I love their Super Greens and sweet fire chicken but the last couple times we visited, the orange chicken didn't taste or smell very fresh. We've been using the drive-thru. The food has been fresh and hot. Their Chicken & Mushrooms was outstanding!! Both my wife and I always choose that dish now. Their service was above average. Initially we were told there was no military discount, but when we paid for the food, I proudly showed my military I.D. and received a nice 10% discount.
