We loved it!!! Spicy and Caribbean flavors!! Very friendly and happy to tell you about your choices. I can't wait to try more and I love spicy foods especially from South America.

Super cute place! I have had it twice and it was super delicious both times! They have daily specials. Everything is fresh fresh. It it to go style They have desserts in the fridge Pricing is super reasonable! Highly recommend! The owner is super nice, and makes the food.

5 stars for the food, zero for the rude Caucasian woman I encountered today. Wow. In town only for a day and a half, I stumbled upon Pan a Day yesterday - ordered jerk chicken, veggie rice and curry potatoes. At the last minute, I spotted desert in the fridge, and also got what would be the best passionfruit mousse cake I have ever had. Today, I woke up, did some work and could not stop thinking about that mousse cake. I got ready, walked there and grabbed one plus a tres leches cake from the fridge, waiting to pay. Finally a blonde-ish Caucasian woman came around the corner from the back (a different woman than the Caribbean woman who I met yesterday - she was lovely) and snapped at me to tell me they closed at 3 (it was 3:45pm) and that I couldn't buy it. I explained that I had cash and the guy with her (co-owner maybe?) even questioned why she wouldn't let me buy it. She just snapped and told me I could not buy it and that was that. I put it back brokenhearted (really), unsure what warranted her rude behavior. I wanted to support a small local business with cash - why couldn't they just ring it through the next day then? There are no hours posted on Yelp for this place, nor on google maps. And why would they not want a quick $10 cash sale? I leave early tomorrow morning so I cannot be back. Have some cake, lady. I hope you don't treat your staff like that. I didn't take a pic of the cake because I thought I could get more! Ugh.

Tried 4 types of empanadas. Pork - Shredded pork with a light BBQ sauce and nice flavoring. Fave Chicken - Nice filling with bits of vegetables and raisins. Fave. Beef - A bit dry. Ground beef with mild seasonings. Ok Vegetarian- Smoky bacon flavored vegetarian filling with potatoes and other goodies All of them have a nice golden flaky dough and crust.

This little tucked hide away is a Gem. It's Caribbean (Gainese) food. The first thing I noticed is how clean this place is. I ordered a medium plate that came with Turmeric rice, mixed vegetables and curry goat with a roti on the side. All I can say is I'm in a food coma now! I totally forgot to take a picture of my amazing meal. I did get a picture of my tres leches cake made in house!

    Turmeric-ly delicious.

Just the smell alone when I walked in... memorable moment. The super clean and friendly ambience.. And the food?! Man oh man. Scrumptious, to say the least. I walked in looking for a samosa and walked out with a vegan empanada, full of potatoes and peas. Delightful surprise, the empanadas had no Grease in sight, just a sweet and spicy, unique flavor. My cat had the chicken, at home of course, she loved it as much as I did the vegan one. The historical knowledge I received about the country.. where this delicious, West Indian food and it's Caribbean twist originated from completely took me to another place. Just awesome all around. My food was made fresh, right in front of me! Simply crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor within, i took it to go. Small space, huge parking lot, I suggest picking up if your not alone. Many drinks, different desserts and fresh fruit to choose. I'll try the chickpea and potato dish tomorrow. Or maybe tonight, haha. The prices are great for the amount of deliciousness you'll get in return.

Bland, soupy, and lacking in zing! I ordered a beef patty, expecting awesome Caribbean flavor, sadly disappointed. Ox tails were tender, but everything mushed together! Do not recommend. "Ox tails, curry potatoes, black beans, Jamaican beef patty"

Yes! The food is so good. I had the cook up rice, goat in some kind of wine sauce and veggies. They were all so good. So excited to have a place like this near me. Authentic tasting food. I can't wait for the next time because they didn't have the ox tail today.

We were lucky that another patron decided they wanted a table versus the chef's seat at the counter. For us, this is the perfect place to sit because it lets you take in the whole experience. The ambiance was great. I had the same great Negroni as last time, but also had a new take on an Old Fashioned called the Dinner Jacket. Very yummy! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Kohlrabi Caesar and sesame focaccia again. It was as great as the first time. The focaccia is amazing. My wife ordered the Anolini for her entree, and I ordered the fabulous rack of lamb cooked in the wood-fired oven. It was simply amazing. We ended by splitting the warm apple tart. Everything was fabulous...my rating is the same. Go and enjoy yourself.

Luckily we did make reservation for early dinner so we were able to find parking right away. We got there early so the restaurant wasn't open yet. We took a walk around the Westminster for a bit until the place was open. We were sat down right away. Inside is cozy with dim lights and open kitchen and some tables. They have few outside seating available as well. We started with some appetizer raw fish and combo as well as kohlrabi Caesar. We got black bass and a seasonal fish with combo that included lightly roasted oysters, shrimp and squid. All seafood was directly sourced from local port and fresh. Seafood appetizer was delicious. The caesar was interesting. I've never had kohlrabi but it reminded me of radish and it was tasty. Personally i would have preferred little less salt and olive oil so that flavor of the raw ingredient stand out more but was not too bad. My entree was the seafood risotto. Flavorful risotto with some seafood on top. Was a bit messy to eat because of the shells but was flavorful. The crab and shellfish itself was small and a bit underwhelming but the rice was rich and full of fish flavor. My mother had the cacio e Pepe which was good but she said that nothing comparable to one she had in Rome. I was not a huge fan of the thicker pasta but that's just is personal preference. Service was excellent but the table was a bit small and tight as we were very close to the next table and can hear what others are talking about so not a very privately setting. Overall i did like the place. Food and service were good. But it was not anything exceeding expectation and there were few things that detracted from our experience such as heavy seasonings, small dining space and etc... The price is quite expensive for the amount of food they serve as well. I think it's a good place for special occasions.

The space is a large modern hanger-style food court with a large bar station and plenty of seating in and outdoors on large patio. Wonderful for families and groups to gather around at long large tables. We found a table by the end by a large screen wall tv with sports on and comfy leather club chairs Great for drinks and talking. First stop, we stood at the bar and ordered our drinks ($14 cocktails). And got big glasses of ice water and headed to our table. We then we split up and everyone walked the hall looking at menus. We all ordered food and gave the restaurant a phone number and they'll text you when your items are ready, generally about 10 or 15 minutes depending on how busy things are. Then you go pick up your tray and head back to your table. Note... don't forget your phone like I did. It's a great opportunity for grazing. If you wanna try a little bit here and there. I chose to have Mediterranean food from TOLIA. Appetizer was a nice three dip Mediterranean plate with pita chips $15 that were crunchy and good. For my entrée, I selected the minced lamp, kebabs over eggplant with pita and an added extra cucumber yogurt dip $29. This was all very tasty And costs about $50 with tip. A bit pricey for a self serve if you ask me. But that's the way things are going on these days. It was a nice time sitting around and talking, but then it got very crowded and very noisy and people were hovering by 5:30 to take our tables and even asked if we were getting up soon. It was a cold chilly day, but the overflow folks were headed outside of the picnic tables, which seemed very cold to me, but on a warm day I would all be very nice. A note on parking, we parked in the adjacent parking garage right near behind Track 15 and get your ticket validated inside at wall kiosk by the door when Leaving. This will save you, so two hours cost about $8.95.

Looked at all of our options and I decided to go with Mexican from Dolores and my wife decided to go with Giusto PVD. I wish I had chosen Italian over Mexican. I've been dying to try Dolores so I opted to have three different tacos after asking the girl at the register if she would recommend their chicken sandwich over the tacos. She told me that everything was good so I went with the ribeye taco, the shrimp taco and the mushroom taco. The ribeye taco was fantastic. There was quite a bit of ribeye in it and the perfect amount of spice. The shrimp taco flavor and the mushroom taco was just spicy with a little flavor. I'd have to say the ribeye was the best taco and it definitely wasn't worth what I spent on them. My wife had an eggplant Parm sandwich and it was cooked perfectly, looked delicious and I wish I had gotten that. I really wanted to order a long Liv beer, but the bartender was talking to someone, I assume that they knew, as although I was only the second person in line I didn't get waited on for over 10 minutes. I ended up walking away to go get my food and just drank water. So my first experience here was not great, overall I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm going to go back and try again as there are a few other restaurants. I really do like the idea of being able to get dishes from different restaurants, pick your own seat and sit with other people at a community table. It's really nice inside and they had live music tonight, which would've been great if we wanted to stay. Next time I go back, I'm definitely having Italian, pizza and some falafel. The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.

RI food fights brought me in and you don't get access to the whole sandwich menu here, unfortunately you have to pick between their "Mushroom Bahn MI" and their "Screaming BLT". I went with the BLT since I wasn't feeling the vegan option. The description was "chili-hoisin glazed bacon | sliced tomato baby greens tomato jam | dill pickle pickled red onion chipotle aioli toasty thick-sliced white bread". Honestly, it was underwhelming. It had some tasty components but it was pretty average. The bacon was terribly weak. It was probably frozen precooked bacon that is heated and brushed with a hoisen glaze. I was hoping for some thick cut glazed almost candied bacon. Their avg. sandwich was around $16-17. If paying for that, I'd be left pretty disappointed. On top of that, it probably took around 35-40 minutes to get the sandwich. Again, pretty okay sandwich, the pickled onion, tomato jam and Chipotle aioli elevated things, but it's in vain with the bacon they use. Their other sandwiches sound good, so it's possible I'll visit to try them out at some point but can't see myself running back here after my impression with this BLT.

Parking is tough but you should be able to find street parking without a long walk. I knew the restaurant was small and was worried we'd have trouble finding a seat because of that. However, we were the only customers in there for a solid 10 minutes when we first arrived. The restaurant itself was adorable! Small but nicely decorated and furnished. I appreciated the stars on the ceiling. The staff were friendly and gave us as much time as we needed with the menu before we ordered at the counter. I had the chicken empanadas and the shrimp poboy. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and fresh. The empanadas were excellent. Great flavor and tasted high quality. I found them to be a little oily but that wasn't anything a napkin couldn't fix. The shrimp was cooked well and I liked the sauce it came with. Their bread was also super soft and tasted freshly baked. Definitely something I'd consider ordering again! Overall, I'd definitely come back to the White Owl and would love to check out more things on the menu.

The drinks are great, there's usually a nice selection of beers on tap, and it's an easy place to relax with friends for dinner or just a couple of drinks. Service has been friendly and the atmosphere on Hope Street makes it feel like a go-to local hangout. Overall, really glad this place is around -- I'd definitely recommend White Owl if you're in the area.
