What an amazing happy hour!! I was introduced to this place by a friend, as she picked this place for quality girl time. Our waitress was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. We ordered appetizers to share-- crab rangoon, popcorn chicken & both decided on the jalapeño smash burger. My goodness! The burger had two juicy, perfectly grilled, & saucy goodness patties ! For drinks, the splash and Exsw margarita which turned out to be my favorite. Their happy hour is currently from 11-7 which is helpful to those leaving work after 5pm. To note, as it is still pretty warm in Texas, dress in cool clothing as they do leave the patio door open so it does tend to get a bit humid inside. It took 20+ minutes for anyone to even greet us and 30 minutes to get our drinks (our food came out before our drinks did). I'd have a little more understanding if the place was packed, but we went on a Monday evening and there were about 10 tables of people in the whole restaurant. Thank god they do pay by QR code because we probably would have sat there for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to bring the check, and another 20 to actually pay it. This is great! The happy hour had great prices for cocktails and bites. The menu for food had some asian inspiration. I ordered the spicy tuna maki. It was fresh and really good. I wanted to try a little bit of everything and ordered the cure, a shareable platter. It had a combo of crab rangoon, hatch chili queso, salted charred edamame, popcorn chicken and Yummy Fries. It was perfect for 3 or 4 people. My favorite from the platter were the popcorn chicken that had a bit of spice in it and the yummy fries. From the drink options loved the EXSW Margarita. It was so refreshing. Rimmed with tajin and had a frozen texture. Delicious. The restaurant was getting packed around 7:30 and the music was spot on. The staff was so attentive and when I was closing my tab told m to go by the speakeasy, Ghost Dinkey right through the door near the restrooms. I was curious do I did and loved the vibe. Came here with my friend for lunch to see what they were all about. This place is huge!!! I loved the inside, it reminded me of being by the beach. We had the Crab Rangoon and The Hatch Chili Queso for our appetizers and they were absolutely delicious and flavorful. For our meals we both tried the Galbi Short Rib, and it was good, although the taste of the kimchi was not doing it for me. Also the egg was cold! Not room temperature cold but refrigerator cold. My friend brought me here for my birthday recently. I've been here before and I must say this place completely fell off... We had a reservation and when we were looking around the restaurant it was pretty empty. When the hostess took us to be seated she tried to seat us in this low sofa type of chair which looked like the worst option out of the whole restaurant. I was confused on why she took us there when there were so many other options. I expressed to the hostess that we did not want to sit there so she moved us to the patio area on some high chairs. The server disappeared for long periods of time. We were always finding ourselves trying to find her or ask the hostess for assistance which is ridiculous. When my friend asked the waiter what do they do for birthdays she stated that they ran out of the birthday dessert that they normally bring out. I really liked this place! We Ubered,however, there is plenty of parking around. Our reservation was at 9:15 pm and they do check IDs upon entry. The hostesses are very pleasant and we waited 5 minutes at most to be seated. Servers are super attentive and quick. My husband and I tried this place after seeing it on TikTok. It's a super cute new restaurant located in deep ellum. We sat outside there were fans but we did have a bit of issue with flies once we got our food. Service was great and prompt. When asking about the menu we learned that the happy hour drinks are pre batched. Sadly you could tell. They were pretty watered down and lacked flavor. The food was pretty good. We went for happy hour. I got the birria tacos. The console was perfect. Sometime it can be too oily at some places and lack flavor but they didn't have this issue.
