SPICY SHRIMP & PANCETTA PIZZA ARROZ FRITO CON HUEVOS
    Maria Gracias H.

Okay, let's start with the highlight: $32.22 per person for bottomless brunch (including a waffle and taco bar) is actually quite reasonable. Since the menu is tapas-style, going à la carte can add up quickly--so definitely go for the bottomless option. Now, the food... it was just okay for me. And hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Some dishes leaned overly salty specifically the dandan noodles, chicken skewers, and arroz fritos con huevos. If you're sensitive to salt just something to keep in mind. On the brighter side, the crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty (though a bit greasy), the lumpia was not bad, and the empanadas were delicious. The shrimp pizza was also enjoyable, just slightly salty for my taste. Service, unfortunately, was a bit slow. We were seated right away on the outdoor patio with our dog, which was great, but it took over 20 minutes to place our order. When a server finally came, she seemed surprised we had already ordered and mentioned there was confusion with server assignments. Another staff member came about 10 minutes later with water and tea, which added to the overall disjointed experience. Verdict: a great spot for weekend brunch with a fantastic outdoor patio setup--even on a chilly spring morning thanks to the heaters. Very dog-friendly and reasonably priced. That said there's definitely room for improvement with both food seasoning and service. Sharing this as constructive feedback--I'd love to see them refine things because the concept has a lot of potential!

My favorite brunch in Arlington! It's the perfect place for a few friends or a small family to gather and try so many different dishes. The waffle and taco bars are such amazing additions to an already great menu. I loveeee their Brussels sprouts, they're so crispy and they come tossed in some sort of sweet and sour sauce, the black bean hummus is a must every time as well! Highly recommend reserving a table here for your next brunch!

Good quality quick service. Very chill low key ambiance. Food also quite tasty. The server I had was very efficient with our big work team group. I've been here several times. Going during happy hour was great, definitely will go back for that. At dinner time the place is very loud fyi.

Best all you can eat spot for dinner! No food sitting out at a bar- order and it arrives fast. Perfect for our group of 8. Ordered as we went and everything was good to great. Thoroughly enjoyed the tender tasty steak skewers, cucumber salad, curry chicken empanadas, and crispy Brussels sprouts. It is easy to go overboard so avoided rice or bread items like pizza. Saved room for a luscious flourless chocolate cake and glad I did! 100% would return. John, our waiter, was very helpful and friendly.

On Easter Sunday, my Honey brought me here for dinner. He went with his brother 2 months ago & he couldn't stop talking about their awesome dining experience. Unfortunately, we didn't share this sentiments during our visit. We ordered 6 different tapas dishes and each one had an over abundance of salt in them. It was inedible. We spoke to our waitress & she said all of the sauces were premade and everything is going to taste like that. We ordered 6 more different dishes WITHOUT sauce. Those dishes came out without sauce; however, they saltier than the first! We waited for 15 minutes for our server, who never came back to the table. The manager came over and we asked for our server & he stated she left for the evening. Bewildered, we shared our experience thus far and the manager reassured us that he would speak to the chef. Unfortunately, here still wasn't a change. My Honey kept apologizing. I told him it wasn't his fault. We paid the bill and as my Honey and I stood up, a mouse ran from behind him. Little Mickey started playing hide-n-seek in the dining room. Since the restaurant has very low-lighting, my Honey turned on his phone flashlight so I could make my way safely to the exit. The manager came out of the kitchen and my Honey drew his attention to the mouse (which was still playing in the dining room). The

It's a very cool place! They have great happy hour with small bites and great drinks. I tried their red sangria and it was refreshing and not too sweet. Street corn and street corn pan pizza were both super delicious. I also enjoyed funghi pizza with mushrooms. Crispy criollos potatoes were a bit dry and oily for my taste. The bartender was very attentive. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to come back.

First time here for something other than brunch and I like it. I like it a lot. This is only my second time having tapas but I really enjoyed this. Nothing was bad but the scallops and the steak did standout. The sliders were good also but if I had to order them, 1. Steak Skewers 2. Scallops 3. Wings 3. Port City Beer (tie) 4. Sliders 4. Sangria (tied) 5. Tuna Our waiter was very helpful and the rest of the waitstaff was very giving. We were getting all types of food we didn't order. For instance, I didn't order the steak skewers (the first time). They just brought them over. Guess I looked like someone that would like steak skewers. They weren't wrong tho! The first time I came was for Father's Day brunch (Thank you my child!). The buffet had so much on it and everything was so good that I couldn't wait to get back. It did take me a while to get back but I put myself on a dining budget so I had to wait a while but I'm going to increase my budget so I don't have to wait so long next time :-).

I love the overall concept of Palette 22. For just under $40, you get a delicious, multi-course dinner of phenomenal, flavor-packed tapas. It's perfect for almost any occasion and ideal for casual, family-style dining--which happens to be my favorite. The service is great, the food comes out quickly, and tables are cleared efficiently, making the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced. Everything tasted great! My standout dishes of the day were the Green Papaya Salad (GET THIS) it was so complex and juicy! i imagine it would be even better paired with crispy pork belly. The seared scallops were also very good. A solid go-to spot when you want variety, great flavors, and a fun dining experience.

A lot going on in here- cool vibe. Artwork on the walls by locals-If Im not mistaken they are for sale. A plethora of food options. For one price you can try as many options on the menu as you choose. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the under cooked churros. Crunchy on the outside-undercooked on the inside. We also had pizza-the topping of the Mexican corn pizza was good-but the crust could have used more flavor. The texture and density were great-but slightly bland for the crust itself. I'd go back-

I've been here a few times for brunch, but this was my first time coming for lunch. I absolutely love the concept of a bottomless meal & I wish more restaurants did this. It's a great way to try everything on the menu so you can figure out your favorites. Here's a list of everything I tried. Seared scallops - These were cooked & seared perfectly. The sauces were a little overwhelming so for the second round I ordered them on the side so I could dip the scallops. Crispy brussels sprouts - Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite veggies. What makes these so good is the soy-chili honey and the sesame-almond granola. It's giving salty and sweet with a little crunch, which brings so much flavor and some texture to the dish. Marinated cucumbers - I enjoy cucumbers, but I wasn't expecting much from this dish. I was pleasantly surprised. It's like a little cucumber salad. The shoyu, tahini miso, and lime served as a light dressing. Very refreshing. Chicken curry empanadas - This dish was just ok for me. I think I was expecting more curry flavor. Pork & shrimp lumpia - I was introduced to lumpia in middle school and I've been eating it ever since. This was some solid lumpia and I'm glad that they added shrimp. Typically, you have to pick one or the other, at least that's been my experience. Spicy shrimp and pancetta brick oven pizza - This pizza alone was worth the trip. I could eat the crust drizzled in garlic butter by itself, but they didn't stop there. They topped the dough with meat, cheese, chilis, and a scallion pesto. Perfection. Pork belly bao buns - You can't go wrong with hoisin glazed pork belly wrapped in pillowy soft goodness. Butter chicken tikki masala - So much flavor in this little bowl. It's butter chicken, carmelized onions, roasted corn, & tikki masala sauce with some basmati rice hidden underneath. It was love at first bite. I would easily eat a full sized version of this dish. Chili shrimp tacos - I was getting full at this point, so I only had a few bites. Each mini taco has 2 plump shrimp with kung pao sauce on a bed of slaw topped with peanuts, radishes, & cilantro. A simple but yummy dish. Mocha parfait - I'm not a coffee drinker but I love a coffee dessert. This layered dessert had chocolate fudge cake, espresso mousse, chocolate ganache, & chantilly cream. It tastes as good as it sounds. In my opinion, chocolate & coffee is a winning combination. Lemon vanilla tres leches cake - Adding fresh berries & a hint of lemon was a nice twist on one of my favorite desserts. In the past, I've only had this dessert plain. The fresh fruit added some texture to the softness of the cake. I enjoyed both desserts but this was my favorite of the two. Well, that concludes another delicious Palette 22 visit. The only thing left for me to do is come back for dinner.

Whew, there's nothing like a great tapas restaurant w amazing décor, and tasteful music. I must admit, street parking ain't easy, but it's not impossible, and it's pretty affordable. Hubby and I first visited this place 2.2025. I located it on Yelp and thought it'll be great for brunch. I didn't even catch the part about the all you can eat EVERYTHING for$32 bucks, $4 for libations. It was a great visit. What did we enjoy? Everything! Literally everything !! Jerk Chicken Skewers, Brussels, Waffles, Tacos, Bellini, Mimosa, etc!! I returned 10.2025 solo, and this place continues to be magnificent. The service is always top tier. I ordered the brussels, chicken wings, and jerk chicken skewers and whew, they were amazing !! I highly recommend this place to everyone to visit at anytime. You will not be disappointed! There's attractive and creative art work throughout the restaurant. There was an artist near the front door during both visits. Great touch!!

Crispy brussel sprouts my wife ordered. Delicious!

I tend to stay away from AYCE spots because I find the food quality to be lacking. Its quite the opposite at Palette 22. Every food item we ordered ranged from good to great. The only reason food may have been left on a plate was from being too full. We were in town for a cousins reunion and made reservations at P22. I don't know how they do it but this enormous amount of food comes out fast, the right temperature and delicious! Our server John was incredible and so on top of the food frenzy as we ordered. I had the garlic maple chicken wings, steak skewers, pork and shrimp lumpia, green papaya salad, Dan Dan noodles and churros for dessert. Everything is served tapas style so think small plates. Vibe and decor of the restaurant was very nice. We were at a table of eight kind of tucked away in a part of the restaurant and we went to town on that food! We had reservations for 7pm and by 8pm our feeding frenzy was over. Thats how fast and organized P22 is. We sat for a while longer to let the food digest then walked blissfully into the unreasonably warm spring night! Bottomless dinner is $38 per person. A steal at that price and in this high priced food environment we have currently.

Palette 22 is my favorite restaurant in the area. We've been for dinner, happy hour, and brunch, and we've loved everything we've eaten here. The menu fuses several different cultures into amazing dishes. We love to do the $38.95 all you can eat dinner. It's so worth the price, and we love everything on the menu. My favorites to start are the Brussels sprouts and crispy potatoes. The cheeseburger slides are sesame steak skewers are my favorite entree-type items. Really anything you order will be incredible. The atmosphere in the restaurant itself is also really cool! They have an artist painting on site and the walls are decorated with really cool works of art. Overall, we LOVE Palette 22. Can't wait to go back again soon!

How does the bottomless mimosas work?

So for their brunch, the food is bottomless at the set price and then you can get a Bellini, a Mimosa, or a Bloody Mary for a discounted price of $4.22. They do not actually offer bottomless drinks.

Do they offer bottomless brunch during the week? How much is it for kids?

Just weekends currently since the last time I went!

    Do I need a reservation?

    Yes, especially on the weekend.

Is this place good for kids?

    For sure, get atmosphere.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Service dogs

Bottomless brunch is jus bottomless food? No bottomless mimosas included

Food only. I think there are VA laws prohibiting bottomless alcohol

    Are they children-friendly? (have highchairs)?

    Yes. I believe they do.

    Do they have heaters outside?

Yes they do! But last time they didnt have propane so i would cal ahead !

Do you need to make a table reservation for happy hour?

I'm not sure, but I made a reservation through open table and it was nice and smooth. Walked up to the hostess and sat right down. Went at 11:30 for brunch

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes, they do. Salads, octopus, ribs, wings, tacos, etc.

Can you take home leftovers from the bottomless brunch?

    No you cannot.

    When does brunch end?

I just called and they said 10:00 to 3:00, but given the other answer I would just call and double check.

    Do they take separate checks?

Yes! When we were there they easily separated the check. I'd advise telling the waiter that you want separate checks when you order.

The Spanish cheese (Mahón) along with the crackers and mustard sauce was superb. All the meats had their own characteristics and unique flavors but the jamón stood out to us the most. It even went well with the sauce that came for our cauliflower dish. It was fun piecing the components together to make unique tasty bites. I would come back just for the charcuterie alone. The drinks we got were Angelli's Ferrari along with the espresso martini-ish. My favorite was definitely the Ferrari one, but the espresso martini was super mild and had a slight coffee flavor. Good for people who like very light coffee. The Ferrari one was very bright and had lots of fruity notes to hide the alcohol. For entrées, we had the shakshouka, crispy, cauliflower, and brunch pork belly. Out of all these the cauliflower was definitely my favorite; super light with good earthy flavors and nuttiness and acidity from the lemon. The brunch pork belly was good too. The meat was perfectly cooked, but I found the beans to be a little bit overwhelming. I'm not a fan of baked beans personally so that might've been my fault for picking the dish, but I still did enjoy it and the pork that was well cooked made up for it; definitely for someone who likes beans. Shakshouka was very hearty with a lot of tomatoes and red vegetables in general. If you like lasagna or any sort of tomato spaghetti dish, you will like this one. I found this to be a bit much though. I was slightly tired of the flavor at the end. Just be aware it is a bit spicy. We had a pear tart for dessert. Honestly, it reminded me of an apple pie and it was good, but I think that some of the other desserts would've been a bit better. Had a lot of sweet cinnamon notes along some crispy flaky dough from the outside. It was an interesting take but it was still good. The atmosphere is great here; we had seating on the second floor, so it was different from the busy first floor. Very relaxed and there's a lot of natural light coming around which made everything feel very welcoming. Our server was also super friendly. I will definitely be back at this place

We sat outside on the patio and it was a gorgeous day. The decor is perfect and I love that they've added plants to cover the staircase. Drinks were delicious and the food came out quickly. Our water glasses were rarely empty. Service was kind. Food wise if I were to stack rank I would say the hummus is the best of what we ordered. The pita bread is thick and garlicky and oily and massive. The croquettes would be at the bottom of my list simply because they're dissimilar from any I've had before and a little bit underwhelming. The tuna was fresh but it's a small dish and not much to write home about. The lamb skewers have a subtle kick to them and they're pretty substantial. I'll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend on a warm summer day as you're covered by the canopy above, if you're looking for a rooftop vibe.

When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off

The service was great, our waitress and fast, kind, and checked in with our group the perfect amount of times. The food was all amazing. They're fairly small portions so you do end up spending quite a bit, but the quality is great! If you want the paella you have to order right when you arrive cause it's 30 mins to 45 mins for them to cook it. Paella Salvaje* 5/5 Grilled octopus 5/5 Spiced Beef Empanadas 3.5/5 (tasted like pasta on the inside no spice lol) hanger steak 5/5 Happy hour trio deal Patatas Bravas 3/5 meatballs 4/5 Chicken Jamón Croquettes 4.5/5 Wines were alright. We ordered the sherry dessert wine which was not a fan fave. The sparkling white wine on the HH was refreshing and pretty good, very dry. Overall, always a good experience. It wasn't too crazy on a Thursday night. The inside ambiance is nicer at night time than day time. I'll have to go back for HH again and order some apps and paella.

The standout for me was the patatas bravas--perfectly crispy potatoes paired with a spectacular garlic aioli. The truffle sheep's cheese was also outstanding, rich and flavorful, although the truffle honey didn't quite deliver on its promise--I could barely taste the truffle. It also only came with one slice of toasted bread, but thankfully the bread service helped stretch the dish (and even then, there was still cheese left over). The spiced beef empanadas were nicely crisp and satisfying. The grilled octopus, however, was just okay--slightly over-charred, which made it hard to fully appreciate the flavor. On the other hand, the paella salvaje was excellent, loaded with chicken, gaucho sausage, pork belly, chickpeas, and pickled onions. Definitely a must-order--but be sure to put it in early since it takes a while to prepare. For dessert, the flan catalan was a great finish--not overly sweet and nicely balanced. The wine list is another highlight, with plenty of good options available by the glass. We ordered the paella first and followed it with four tapas, which ended up being plenty of food for four people. Pricing came out to about $45 per person before tip, which felt reasonable for the quality and quantity. The interior has a warm, stylish vibe with lots of wood and dark tones, though it does feel a bit cramped--tables and booths are quite close together, and it can get pretty loud. Service was friendly and well-paced. It does get busy during peak hours, so reservations are highly recommended (they use Tock). Overall, a great spot for tapas with a lively atmosphere--just be prepared for some noise and tight seating.

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. We'll definitely be back--next time for brunch!

It was also my first time at The Black Sheep but I had always heard wonderful things - all of which turned out to be true. The loft area is beautiful and overlooks the entire restaurant. Also when you reserve the loft, which holds up to 16 people, you order off the regular menu. I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!! The bourbon butter cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert literally took me over the top. My belly was ready to burst :) Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire time and everything we ordered came out perfect. I must go back soon. It is a distance from where I live but there's so many things on the fabulous menu I want to try.

Not sure I would return; I would definitely return if someone else was paying (e.g., corporate expense account). We reserved for dinner on a winter Saturday night. We found street parking and walked over. The restaurant is inside the Waldorf Astoria hotel, formerly the Trump hotel, formerly the Old Post Office. Finding the entrance was annoying and challenging. The entrance is from Pennsylvania Avenue a half-block east of 12th Street NW, between 11-12th streets. It's a small driveway leading to the actual hotel entrance and a reception hall. Wish we had known. Upon entering the hotel, the architecture strikes you. Soaring atrium that soars up 10 or so stories. Festive, beautiful, striking. The restaurant takes up the entire left side of the lobby. The restaurant has a lower and upper level. We were seated on the lower level, behind the reception desk. That was a bit annoying but did not detract from our evening. The good part was the view of the lobby which definitely enhanced our experience. Had we been seated in the upper level, there were no tables remaining on the outer veranda with the view, so we would have been seated in an interior area with no view up. So we were fine. Extensive menu with signature cocktails and a lovely wine list. Limited number of by-the-glass wines (as is expected), maybe 20 wines total which is not bad. We both had margaritas with salt foam which were delicious and original. I also enjoyed a fino sherry pre-dinner, outstanding. With our meal we both had Rioja red wines which were excellent. The food choices are too many to list. They offer two tasting menus which look amazing. We are pescatarians and so we could not order the tasting menus, we could eat maybe 1/3 of the items offered. If I was a meat eater there is no question I'd do the tasting menu. The server suggested 6-10 dishes for two people, these are small taste plates, with any item being 1-3 bites. So small. Some of the items we ordered: mini Waldorf salads served in small chervil leaves Ceviche served in a dragon fruit (cobia, cherry hibiscus air, pecans, avocado) Neptunes pillows, which is spicy tuna on airbread (sesame rocoto, spicy tuna, fresh wasabi) Pau Gasol Potatoes, which is a tube of potato with caviar (fried potatoes, labneh, cured egg yolk, Ossetra caviar) Brussels sprouts with foam (lemon pith puree, apricots, green grapes and apples, lemon air) Honey miso eggplant, the winner of the evening for me. honey-miso glaze, masago pearls, preserved lemon, pine nuts, sesame Salmon cooked in a parchment-like thing, super flavorful Ora King "en Papillote" Ora King Salmon, sauce alcaparrado, crispy quinoa Japanese peaches and burrata. Every item was good. The brussels sprouts were tender and not what I expected and were ok in my opinion, these were the only item that I would not order again. The ceviche, Neptune pillows, Pau Gasol potatoes, and honey miso eggplant were truly outstanding. We also had coffee with our dessert, basque cheesecake, which was outstanding. Our server was outstanding and added to our evening. Responsive, caring, smart, highly enjoyable. When the evening ended, the total bill (including an automatic 20% service fee which seems fair) was $379. We turned toward each other and said, "How did the two of us just eat $400 worth of food?" We don't feel we went overboard at all on food or drink, so this is pretty darn pricey. As wonderful as the food and service and location are, that's a heck of a lot of money so the value is questionable. Ratings: Service and Atmosphere 5, Food 4, Value 3.

Writing a review for Bazaar by Jose Andres is like writing "A Tale of Two Cities." It was the best…read moreof times, it was the worst of times. This restaurant has a dining room that is as beautiful and impressive as any in DC. The architecture of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel (the Old Post Office Pavilion) is stunning. The crystal chandeliers shimmer, the furnishings are top notch, fancy even. The atmosphere could not be better. Likewise the food shines. Each dish outshone the one before. We started with the oxtail croquettes and they set the standard very high. The meat was luscious, luxurious even; the crust was perfectly crispy and crunchy. Then on to the she-crab soup. OMG it was to die for. The flavor was intense, like a crab bomb exploded in our mouths. We scraped the sides of the little bowls to get every drop. Our main dish was the beef tenderloin Rossini and this was easily among the best steaks I have ever had. Cutting the steak was easy because it was so tender. And the seared foie gras on top made it heavenly. So, to keep with my opening concept, the atmosphere of the dining room and the quality of the food were "the best of times." What was "the worst of times?" The service. It is hard to imagine food this good coming from a staff that is so unprofessional, uninspired, uninterested, unfocused. The staff - all of them - seemingly had no interest in providing top notch service. We waited to be approached. We waited for our drinks. We waited for our food; indeed, one of our courses never arrived. Never have I had such great food and such bad service all at the same time. Ronny was our waiter and, to be honest, he was not good. But everyone who we interacted with was bad so, I can only conclude, that this terrible service is what Jose Andres intended. And all of this at a meal that is VERY expensive. My spouse and I talked about the pricing. When you dine out, are you paying for the food only, or for the food and the service? The answer, of course, is that you are paying for both. So, while I do NOT mind paying a lot for a meal, I do want and expect that the food and the service will be somewhat equivalent to the price I have paid. At Bazaar Meat, that did not happen. Maybe the service lacked polish and professionalism because of the 20% tip that was automatically added onto the bill. They did not have to work hard for a tip since it was automatic. Sure, you could decrease the tip - it even said that at the bottom of the credit card slip. But would you ever do that? Not likely. So, that is my "A Tale of Two Cities" review of Bazaar Meat. Food and atmosphere, GREAT! Service, TERRIBLE! Do I recommend Bazaar Meat? No. Will I return? No.
