Late to the party as I knew of Palette 22 for a long time but never dined. I went on a weekday for happy hour with a pretty decent appetite. The focus of this restaurant is on food and art. I saw a man painting when I walked in here and it was very detailed. It is a lively scene in here. Palette is a nice play on words for the art palette and palate for taste. They serve tapas (small plates) for a reasonable price. There is an all you can eat option in which your entire table has to order, or you can order a la carte. I ordered primarily off the happy hour menu which included the chicken slider, shrimp tacos, jerk chicken skewer, garlic wings and for dessert, I got churros. Most of the food here were extremely salty and did not agree with my palate. The shrimp tacos were the best thing I ate as the veggies gave the taco a refreshing taste. We have always had such good experiences with the restaurant! The food, the staff - always super fun! We always take my dog as he enjoys going out - the last time we went to palette 22 i dont know if they were just insanely busy? They normally either have dog bowls out or ask you when you sit down does your pup want a bowl. The last waiter we had did not. I asked probably 5 times. I finally just gave my dog water out of my cup... and they got mad. They then apologized and "would offer me free drinks next time." I couldn't get a real feel for the restaurant because of the crowds of people, but I did enjoy the artwork hanging in the bar area. They had $7 margarita specials, and I really should've ordered 2 because it was exactly what I needed. After devouring one order of chili shrimp tacos, I felt another was warranted. I've been here a few times for brunch, but this was my first time coming for lunch. I absolutely love the concept of a bottomless meal & I wish more restaurants did this. It's a great way to try everything on the menu so you can figure out your favorites. Here's a list of everything I tried. Seared scallops - These were cooked & seared perfectly. The sauces were a little overwhelming so for the second round I ordered them on the side so I could dip the scallops. Crispy brussels sprouts - Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite veggies. What makes these so good is the soy-chili honey and the sesame-almond granola. It's giving salty and sweet with a little crunch, which brings so much flavor and some texture to the dish. Marinated cucumbers - I enjoy cucumbers, but I wasn't expecting much from this dish. I was pleasantly surprised. It's like a little cucumber salad. The shoyu, tahini miso, and lime served as a light dressing. Very refreshing. Chicken curry empanadas - This dish was just ok for me. I think I was expecting more curry flavor. Pork & shrimp lumpia - I was introduced to lumpia in middle school and I've been eating it ever since. This was some solid lumpia and I'm glad that they added shrimp. Typically, you have to pick one or the other, at least that's been my experience. Spicy shrimp and pancetta brick oven pizza - This pizza alone was worth the trip. I could eat the crust drizzled in garlic butter by itself, but they didn't stop there. They topped the dough with meat, cheese, chilis, and a scallion pesto. Perfection. Pork belly bao buns - You can't go wrong with hoisin glazed pork belly wrapped in pillowy soft goodness. Butter chicken tikki masala - So much flavor in this little bowl. It's butter chicken, carmelized onions, roasted corn, & tikki masala sauce with some basmati rice hidden underneath. It was love at first bite. I would easily eat a full sized version of this dish. Chili shrimp tacos - I was getting full at this point, so I only had a few bites. Each mini taco has 2 plump shrimp with kung pao sauce on a bed of slaw topped with peanuts, radishes, & cilantro. A simple but yummy dish. Mocha parfait - I'm not a coffee drinker but I love a coffee dessert. This layered dessert had chocolate fudge cake, espresso mousse, chocolate ganache, & chantilly cream. It tastes as good as it sounds. In my opinion, chocolate & coffee is a winning combination. Lemon vanilla tres leches cake - Adding fresh berries & a hint of lemon was a nice twist on one of my favorite desserts. In the past, I've only had this dessert plain. The fresh fruit added some texture to the softness of the cake. I enjoyed both desserts but this was my favorite of the two. Well, that concludes another delicious Palette 22 visit. On Easter Sunday, my Honey brought me here for dinner. He went with his brother 2 months ago & he couldn't stop talking about their awesome dining experience. Unfortunately, we didn't share this sentiments during our visit. We ordered 6 different tapas dishes and each one had an over abundance of salt in them. It was inedible. We spoke to our waitress & she said all of the sauces were premade and everything is going to taste like that. We ordered 6 more different dishes WITHOUT sauce. Those dishes came out without sauce; however, they saltier than the first! We waited for 15 minutes for our server, who never came back to the table. The manager came over and we asked for our server & he stated she left for the evening. Bewildered, we shared our experience thus far and the manager reassured us that he would speak to the chef. Unfortunately, here still wasn't a change. My Honey kept apologizing. I told him it wasn't his fault. We paid the bill and as my Honey and I stood up, a mouse ran from behind him. I tend to stay away from AYCE spots because I find the food quality to be lacking. Its quite the opposite at Palette 22. Every food item we ordered ranged from good to great. The only reason food may have been left on a plate was from being too full. We were in town for a cousins reunion and made reservations at P22. I don't know how they do it but this enormous amount of food comes out fast, the right temperature and delicious! Our server John was incredible and so on top of the food frenzy as we ordered. I had the garlic maple chicken wings, steak skewers, pork and shrimp lumpia, green papaya salad, Dan Dan noodles and churros for dessert. Everything is served tapas style so think small plates. Vibe and decor of the restaurant was very nice. We were at a table of eight kind of tucked away in a part of the restaurant and we went to town on that food! We had reservations for 7pm and by 8pm our feeding frenzy was over. Thats how fast and organized P22 is. A great place to have brunch. When you walk in there is an artist painting as well as there are little painting the have that you can look at that is for sale. The price for the brunch was very reasonable. What I like is that you can order everything from the menu but it's a sample size so you are able to have a taste of everything. I'm not sure what was different this time, but the food was improved by leaps and bounds over our last visit. That's saying something since it was really good the first time. Our server was excellent and made sure that our group of six was not lacking anything as far as food or beverages. The spicy shrimp and pancetta deep dish pizza was phenomenal. The deep pan crust was buttery and flavorful and the cheese was plentiful. It was so good, that I ate it before remembering to snap a picture. I'll take one on the next visit. The pupusa benedict was much better than the first visit. While I did not get the monkey bread, some of our party tried it and it looked amazing. I just simply did not have room for it. The fried chicken sliders were amazing. Of couse, I had to have another round of Dan Dan Noodles and a waffle to close the show. The Bloody Mary with the jalapeno flavored tequila was surprisingly good. I'm getting hungry just typing and already planning the next visit. My recommendation is come with a group and try everything. You're bound to find something that you love and surprise yourself with something you've never tried before. read more

Arrived an hour too late for brunch. Brunch ended at 3pm and 4pm on Sundays...NOTED! So we opted for the bottomless dinner which consisted of unlimited tapas. We tried a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the brussels and Mexican street corn. I also enjoyed the pepperoni pan pizza after pulling off the pepperonis lol As well as my Blueberry Mojito. The hubs enjoyed his options as well. Will definitely venture back for brunch. The menu is interesting as they offer a variety of options from Mexican, Mediterranean and Asian fusion dishes. Service was great. The bartender who also waited on us was on point with her service even though she manned the bar as well as the tables that were around the bar area. I was certainly impressed. One of the only places with unlimited brunch where all the food items tasted good. My favorite was the khao soi empanada and French toast with cornflakes as the crust. In addition, the chicken sliders was spicy and juicy, lumpia with shrimp and pork was crispy, pupusa was cheesy, the sausage biscuit was hearty, and pizza was tasty. I also tried the chicken skewers (not pictured) and they were juicy. Now, I wouldn't recommend the agua Fresca because it's very watered down to what I'm normally used to. Needed way more watermelon in it to stand out. Service was pretty quick and there's plenty of seating inside (would still recommend to get reservation if going on a busy weekend).
