Kaldi's Social House does have a special place in my heart. I'm giving this 4 stars, rounded up from a 3.5, mainly due to inconsistent service. Some visits we are brought water, and other times we are not. I went to brunch this weekend and ordered the pork Benedict. The food itself was well seasoned and prepared. Similar to the fries during their happy hour, quite good! However, the plastic utensils made the meal less enjoyable, especially for cutting the benny. The side salad had darker, slimy leafy greens that I had to pick out as I ate. I didn't say anything at the time since our server never really came back around. We also had to get our own water cups and sugar for coffee, which was confusing considering everything was ordered on our phones. It made me unsure where the tip I left was really going. The ambiance is nice but can get very busy. The coffee is good and consistent, similar to their cocktails.

A great place to co-work and have a cup of coffee and casual chats. Lovely open design with plenty of seating. The ordering works by scanning the Toast QR code on your tabletop. My go-to food here is the Turkish breakfast bowl (quinoa, poached egg, cheese, peppers, avocado) which is my favorite by far and a repeat order (9/10). They change up the toppings every so often it seems but poached egg and avocado is consistent. I usually just get the regular drip coffee, but got the Cortado instead (9/10) and it was so lovely! Great service staff, although there is limited interaction given ordering is only via your smartphone. That is a plus for any socially anxious people out there. Partner ordered the Kaldi Burger (6/10) and side of fries. However partner was not a fan of this as it didn't stand out particularly, and was on the dry side. The fries were pretty good, just nothing special (7/10). Would return for coffee and a quick work session, may skip food unless it is the Turkish breakfast bowl, or a maybe a pastry!

If you want to get social, Kaldi's is the house to do it! I stopped in during the week around 10:30 am and the place was absolutely packed! Tons of people working and chatting- we were able to get a seat for 3 people but it was definitely a struggle (gotta get here early). I like the couch/ comfy style seats, it definitely makes you want to stay a while. I got the Mumbai Tea Fog with a dash of brown sugar and it was delightful. Just ever so slightly spiced! I also got the spinach and feta bistro, I asked for it heated and unfortunately they forgot (it was a super busy day) but I imagine that would've made it amazing- otherwise it was just ok. My friend tried the lemon ricotta French toast and what it lacked in flavor, it made up for in volume. My other friend tried the breakfast burrito which was frankly just odd- it has a full slice of tomato when everything else was diced. Overall, would definitely recommend coming in and trying this place out as the vibes are good. Also as an FYI, they stop serving coffee/tea at 5pm and switch over to a bar/dinner type restaurant.

Place looks different from years ago. What happened to the chaotic color scheme with the couches and everything? The Birthday promo I received didn't work either and tables remained dirty for an unreasonable amount of time. I had to buss it myself and place it in their bins near the counter because of how long I was waiting. For what you offer, the food is too expensive to the ratio of portions you receive. The staff are the only saving grace.

Sibs were visiting from out of town and our brunch plans had fallen through. Luckily, a quick yelp search and we stumbled upon Kaldi's Social House. Although it's pretty popular, we were able to find outside seating, used the QR code to order, and next thing you know, the food started coming out. The servers made sure our orders were right, and accurate. Not only did the food look appealing, it tasted soooo good! It was a wonderful experience, and the sibs left impressed. So know you know, next time you're craving something delicious and healthy, head over to Aldi's, they won't disappoint!

I can't believe I've never been to Kaldi's! The coffee, food, and company were all good. It's slightly tucked away and the entrance is a little strange. It's right at the corner before you hit the neighborhoods of Clarendon. Not very much outdoor seating but I prefer inside here. It is more of a cafe vibe and was pretty packed even for 1PM on a Saturday. I ordered the honey pistachio latte, which was great, light flavor, very picturesque. It also had good flavors and quite pretty. The thai chicken buddha bowl was delicious and had a slight kick. The sauces and flavors were light. Very filling as well with the quinoa. The fruit tart was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. I do like pastries, but was definitely feeling the fullness from the bowl and latte. I would definitely come back here for the vibes and that buddha bowl. They also had quite an extensive menu that looked quite good like the chicken and waffles.

I've been to Kaldi's twice now and have loved it both times. It is such a cute and cozy cafe. There are lots of people working on laptops at the tables. And there are comfy couches for catching up with friends. The food is so good! I loved the Thai chicken salad. It was flavorful and filling. I also had the caprese panini (a different day), and it was so yummy. I have been very pleased with the food. They also have lots of coffee and tea options. Great spot for studying, hanging out, or catching up.

My first time here, and I will say it's a very cute space. I enjoy the music here, it's upbeat but not too loud or distracting if you are trying to do work. However, this can be a tricky place to work at if you are in back to back meetings where you need to be talking, as a lot of the spaces are shared tables so you can hear everyone around you. The prices are really affordable (around $4 for coffee). I got the raspberry and green tea iced refresher and it is a nice combination of flavors without being overly sweet (bonus for it coming in a pretty glass). Things to note, they do not take cash, and you can order right from your table. When going up to look at a menu, the employee was looking at his phone and not very friendly and welcoming but totally understand if he was dealing with a business matter, it also was a very short interaction. There is also a good amount of parking (mostly street parking).

Came on a Sunday around noon and it was pretty busy. A good amount of seating but it can be crowded sometimes. Got a chai latte and loved it. Definitely my favorite drink I've gotten here so far. One of my favorite places to come do work.

There are do many options and the vibe is so relaxing. There are so many more dishes I want to try on the menu. The server at the register is super informed, and can answer and dietary questions.

Really cool vibe with plenty of seating inside! I came on Veterans Day and there wasn't a table or seat open!! Everyone was working or hanging out so that was awesome but I definitely recommend coming early or at off hours for a spot. Pretty good menu variety. I got an iced chai latte and it was delicious, really recommend. All the food I saw looked really fresh and yummy. Workers were really kind and friendly. Worked really fast.

I enjoyed this place. My cousin and I met here for a late dinner. It wasn't many people in there. Our waiter was so attentive and we appreciated that. The vibe was nice. People were working in there. It just very calm and relaxing place. Food was good. We ordered our steaks medium but they were very well done. That was the only thing. Most definitely will visit again.

new fav local coffee shop! i easily found nearby street parking on a sunday (free). very chill, cozy, coffeehouse vibes with a decent amount of seating (tables, couches, window-barstools, a couple outdoor tables). lots of people working on laptops but also groups for a casual brunch. seat yourself and order through the QR code at the table. averagely priced, maybe slightly cheaper than other similar places. my food and drink came out within 10 min. one of the best chai lattes i've had in a while - so creamy. my bowl was delicious but looking at others' recent pics of it it seems like it mine was missing the crushed peanuts :( still absolutely love and will 100% be coming back!

We do offer reservations 24 hours in advance! We tend to fill the restaurant on weekends rather quickly but are happy to accommodate any reservation requests. Feel free to give us a call to make a reservation anytime!

This place is perfect to meeting with friends or even a date night. The back or the restaurant is dark, but in a good way. They also had live music Saturday night (not sure if this is every night). It was a good volume, until they went back to the restaurant music and then it got LOUD. Not too bad, just was shocked that it was so loud. For food we started with my fave, miso soup. After that we had the Chirashi. It was a nice assortment and a good start to dinner. Next we did the Dragon Roll, a classic and they didn't disappoint. We had a couple mocktails and drinks and were able to chitchat before trying the Marisol Roll which was amazing! Lastly, we wrapped up the night with the Earl Grey Crème Brûlée, a great sweet treat. I will certainly return to this spot. Not only was it a fun vibe, but the food was good and the service was awesome.

On both visits I had the toro tartare on the specials menu and have tried the tequila-based City Runner spicy marg 2x now. There is something for all drinkers though, and lots of food selection. The atmosphere is chill, with great decor and thoughtful lighting and as the name suggests, bartenders always have a record going. The front room is largely the bar with high tops up front. They've put a cozier dining room in the back room. Great spaces for a friend catch-up or date. Since taking over the space from Cava, I also appreciate the bathroom upgrades.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. Not my crowd, but met one of my friends here after work in Arlington around 6:30 since the weather was perfect yesterday. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. One day, I'll come back to watch people ride the bull downstairs, which I imagine that to be hilarious and entertaining. The bartender told me the place doesn't come alive until about 9pm, so that's when it's crowded and probably off the chain.

I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

For Brunch they serve small plates, so you can try a little bit of everything (which we definitely did ): French toast, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, a breakfast burrito, chicken & waffles -- all outstanding. And the bacon?! Sweet, savory, honey pepper perfection. Now listen... I don't usually touch corned beef hash, mainly because it reminds me of dog food but theirs completely changed my mind. Tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked with potatoes, eggs, and cheese -- absolutely delicious. The skillet was too. But what really set this place apart was the service. Our server, Kristina, (remembered her name because it's also my best friend's name) was hands-down the best I've ever had. Super attentive, kind, and she even helped us with directions & gave us directions on where to park when we got lost. That level of care is rare. She was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! The vibe is chill and laid-back with music, TVs, and a nice atmosphere. They also have an outdoor area with heat lamps (we'll definitely be back for that when it's warmer). We will 100% be back -- and not just for brunch because the regular menu looked just as good. If you're thinking about going... GO. I promise you wont regret it..

Ordering was almost seamless. We got there at 1 o'clock, middle of the day on 4/18, plenty of empty tables. We went up to the bartender to take our order, and then gave them our table number and they delivered it. The QR code on the table only shows you the menu. It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
