I had the omelette with a side of fries. While the presentation wasn't the most impressive, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted--it really hit the spot. We chose to sit outside, and the weather was beautiful. The outdoor seating created a nice atmosphere and made for an enjoyable meal. The service was a bit hit-or-miss. Nothing terrible, but it felt somewhat inconsistent and could have been more attentive. Overall, the food and ambience were the highlights of the experience. read more

We always love this place. Then come here for years. Tips 1) they alternate the cinnamon roll; ask, which one is available. 2) the mahi-mahi grilled dinner is awesome. 3) call ahead on fight nights because it is BBLLOOWWEEDD! read more

First thing I'd say is the food I was eventually served was good. That's about the only good part of my visit. Seated quickly then ignored by a staff member (several times) bringing water to tables around us as well as taking orders. He brought us water and a QR to scan. I then had to ask a few minutes later if we had to order via QR, he stated no and would take our order then walked away. Another wait staff came over and we ordered drinks and an app. The drinks came quickly, the app was taking quite a while as the table that arrived after me was halfway through the meal when I got up to speak to the manager. The manager didn't seem to care much, she did approach the waitress and then our app arrived. It's a shame, The food was very good, but I won't be able to patronize this establishment again with such poor and dismissive service. read more

Courthaus Social has been one of my Arlington favorites for years now. I have been here countless times and it never disappoints. The outdoor atmosphere vibe on a nice day is unbeatable. They are super dog friendly (even have a dog menu). Some of my favorites are the Reuben egg rolls (a must), Brussel Sprouts, Spinach Artichoke dip, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Bangin' Shrimp Salad, and French dip. They have amazing homemade ranch and a seasonal drink menu that I love to try. The service is always quick and they have one of my favorite trivia's in the area on Wednesday nights. read more

A girlfriend and I popped into Courthaus Social for a couple sharables and drinks. We wanted to try "something different" from our normal. The drinks (not pictured) and the food did not disappoint. There is only one comment of disappointment. The bar and sitting areas were packed. There seemed to be only one bartender on shift, so getting help was on the slower side. Staffing may have been because of the impending weather; however, it was the night before the snowfall, so I think everyone went out. read more

Stopping by the restaurant was just what I needed to do that evening. The food was great but the service by Pete Bergen made the evening the better one. He has an approachable style and he is quick with a smile and wet. Stop in to see him - tell him I sent you. read more

The food is solid here every time. Courthaus social has a great atmosphere with dog-friendly outdoor seating, speedy service, and a wide variety of food and drinks. The brussels sprouts were our favorite appetizer and everyone was extremely satisfied with their entrees! read more

Came here for lunch with coworkers and I found the food (at least what I ordered) to be really delicious. I have to assume this likely a German styled pub due to the name and some of the German based menu items. The ambiance reminds me of such. The staff was pretty fast and attentive. The French Dip Sandwich reminds so much of the Italian Combination Beef sandwich that is incredibly popular in the Chicago, IL area (or as some Chicago people say, "Combination Sandwich"). Even the Au Ju tastes similar to the gravy. The side Caesar salad kinda threw me off with the sun-dried tomatoes mixed in. Other than that, I would recommend this for those looking to get lunch. I would recommend that they look into having lunch specials for workers in the area. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1 and it was fairly empty. Walked in and were quickly seated as we had reservations for 12 people. The menu's are QR codes when made for easier access. There are plenty of TV's inside as well as outdoor seating. I ended up ordering the bone-in wings. 8 wings for $14. Seems pretty pricy to me but who knows. Wings came fast. There was nothing amazing about them. They were regular wings. He service was overall good. Parking is on the street. $8 for 2 hours. NUTS!!! Cool spot if you're looking to catch some college football. read more

Came to Courthaus Social for a work lunch and ended up pleasantly surprised. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and Geo's Jambalaya. The food was flavorful -- the chicken sandwich was super filling (I could only finish half), and the Jambalaya was creamy, seasoned well, and definitely tasty. Just a heads-up, it's a pasta dish, not rice, but still really good. Service was okay -- nothing memorable. The food took a while to come out, but it's okay because the food was good, and I assume it's all made to order. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. The space is cute and versatile -- good spot for a casual date, work lunch, or even just grabbing a bite solo. It's in a walkable area that seems like it probably gets more fun in the evenings. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more

Stopped in for a cold drink, and was surprised that every seat outdoors was taken, so we went inside and sat at the bar. Happily I was able to hang my handbag & charge my phone. There are 28 different beers on top with very clever names. We sampled different beers and I wanted something cold light refreshing and fruity. I went with the lost Coast tangerine wheat, it was perfect. My husband was impressed with his One family woke up, sexy again beer on tap like a white Belgium. We watched basketball on he big screen as each indoor table filled. Overflowing plates of bar food passed us by, everything smelled delicious. read more

I had a reservation for Saturday at 8, and got seated immediately. Pros: the waitress was nice and accommodating, and there were a lot of tvs with different games. Cons: the food was not that great. I'm a chicken wing girl through and through and didn't care for these, the steak frites were just okay. But it could have been just me, everyone else really enjoyed their food. read more

A mainstay in the courthouse neighborhood, courthaus social provides all the lovely benefits of an urban beer garden. For today, I got some chicken tenders to go and boy was I impressed. The chicken was not just some frozen tenders but seemed to be hand breaded and was paired with house made ranch! Very good and decently sized. A lil pricy for just the tenders and no side, but still very good. I got my order to go and was created promptly by someone behind the door who quickly got me my food and sent me on my way. read more

Came for trivia night, but honestly didn't think it was that great of a night. We were at the back bar and it was hard to hear the trivia host and it was done on an app instead of pen and paper. It didn't feel very collaborative since we only had the app on one person's phone so it was hard to share with our table of seven. We got a bunch of appetizers to share. The shrimp was good, but there was only four large pieces so it wasn't great to share. We got brussels sprouts and those were really good. Then we got the courthaus burger - the fries were super crunchy and the burger was all right. Honestly, nothing too special. I think I would come back for the happy hour, but not itching to go back to trivia. read more

Courthaus Social might seem like your typical sports bar at first glance, the kind of place you'd stop by for a drink and to catch a game. But let me tell you, the chicken tenders here are on a whole different level. My boyfriend and I originally came for the casual vibe, but now we come back just for the tenders. They are so good that we usually end up ordering more than one round during happy hour. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. I have not tried much else on the menu because once we found the tenders, there was no going back. That said, there are a few other solid happy hour options, and it is definitely a great spot to meet up with friends or watch a game. There is plenty of seating and lots of TVs to catch whatever you are into. The staff is also fantastic. Every time we visit, whether it is day or night, the service is quick, kind, and efficient. I highly recommend Courthaus Social, even if just for the chicken tenders. Did I mention the tenders? read more

The food was tasteless. It gave me Germany vibes as I assume that's what this place is going for. The beer selection could've been a bit more expansive. I came here with friends for happy hour after a midday movie around the corner. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich that looked really good. The steak was just completely unseasoned. I feel like the didn't even drop a sprinkle of salt on it. The peppers seemed like they had all of the flavor cooked out of them that could have made up for the lackluster meat. I then tasted my friends chicken nachos to ensure that I didn't have COVID and was losing my taste. There seemed to be a bit of salt and pepper on the chicken and maybe splash of paprika or hint of seasoning salt. Nevertheless, I didn't need anymore of it in my life. The energy on the terrasse, outside of my friends and I, was pretty lifeless aside from the waitstaff joking amongst themselves and killing honeybees on the bar with the handheld card reader machines. I'll try the other restaurants/bars in the area after my next matinee at the AMC. read more

My wife and I hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks for our wedding weekend at Courthaus Social, and everything was absolutely perfect. Liz and her team made the evening feel incredibly special and worked closely with us throughout the planning process to ensure everything ran smoothly. They hosted our rehearsal dinner for about 25 people and then seamlessly transitioned the space for the rest of our guests to arrive for welcome drinks. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the entire event was executed flawlessly. Having an extensive background in the service industry, including large-scale events, I was genuinely impressed with how well the team handled every detail. We truly felt taken care of all weekend. Whatever you do, please do not come here on a weekday around 8pm. The waiters and waitresses are not that great and need training. There have been several customers that I've overheard and seen get up to get the attention of the staff to come and help them. There was a party of 3 who waited for an hour and also received double the drinks because 3 different staff approached their table after they had complained. Not only that, but I also had to do the same and grab the attention of a staffer (who was not my waiter) just to figure out where our drink was. Not only that, but the host was not helpful in seating us and was on his phone the entire time unless approached by a customer. read more

We were staying nearby and I wanted to get something to eat prior to attending a sporting event. With the proximity to the metro, I decided to try Courthaus Social. We arrived around 4:30 on a Friday which is during Happy Hour which had drink discounts and a few appetizers. When we initially arrived there seemed to be a little confusion about where to sit. Eventually we were seated and waited on. I ordered the pork schnitzel which was a little dry. My oldest son enjoyed his burger, my youngest son had steak and frites and enjoyed his dinner. My wife had the bratwurst and enjoyed hers. My wife and I each had a draft beer which were cold and fresh. I thought it was ok but definitely not exceptional. If you're looking for a place to have a few drinks or a meal this will fit the bill but it isn't anything that is exceptional. It also isn't terrible either. Seems like a decent Arlington addition. read more

Randomly stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Service was very slow. I didn't care too much for the buffalo chicken sandwich. The spiced red sangria was good. I asked for a togo tray, and the younger guy who was sitting at the door biting his nails brought the tray. Didn't even wash his hands or anything. Ugh. Bartender was really nice. I kind of kept getting overlooked when needing service. Decided to leave, honestly just didnt feel comfortable. However, Don't let this disway you from checking this place out.. read more

Had an appetizer of buffalo boneless wings that were good! Crispy liked I asked and I really liked the ranch they had. Had a side of fries with my order too. Went here for the first time tonight for trivia with my work colleagues and I loved it! The food was yummy and the trivia was fun. Only issue was the service. We were there from 5:30ish to 9pm and we kept having to chase down a waiter for more drinks and such. I know they were super busy because of the trivia but we probably would have spent more money on drinks and such. But they probably just didn't have enough people working, so I'm willing to forgive that. Luckily, the food was good enough that it made up for everything else! The pulled pork tots were a great appetizer and were only $6 with the happy hour menu. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi as my entree and it was incredibly flavorful! I wanted to lick the butter sauce from the plate when I was finished. I'll definitely be back both for trivia and just so dinner! read more

We had a blast here last night at trivia! It was five rounds of 11 questions and I loved how they covered many different topics. I also appreciated using a phone app to play, which definitely helped with hearing questions when the restaurant was packed and quite lively. For food, I got the blackened mahi-mahi and brussels sprouts. The mahi-mahi was scrumptious, tender and smoky from the grill. It was served over yummy cilantro rice and creamy/zesty lemon butter sauce. Needless to say, I wiped my plate clean! The brussels sprouts was also stellar - everything crispy in it from bacon to shallots to the actual brussel sprouts. It was served with bleu cheese, which rounded out the crispy heartiness with just the right amount of funk! We also sampled through a few of the delicious beers on tap from kolsches to sours. Service was prompt and great, too. What a fun time - hope to come back soon! read more

The staff and service was excellent. Had a hard time communicating today and they were all so patient with me. All had good suggestions and helped me out. Loved the atmosphere and vibe here. Servers were all really on point and had some good beers on tap. Just super disappointed in the Reuben rolls and Courthaus burger. Came here on my lunch break and it was fairly empty, which made for a nice, quiet visit. I got a Diet Coke and the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich had a bit too much mustard for my taste, so I ended up skipping the bun and toppings--but the chicken itself was good. It actually paired nicely with the Caesar salad, which had just the right amount of dressing and a generous portion. Parking was super convenient, however, I am sure at night, or after work it would be a little more difficult. read more
