    Brussels and Blue

Used to live here and anytime I'm back in town I make time to get to circa. The food is consistently delicious. Brussels+ Blue is my favorite menu item. Arguably the best I've ever had. Marg flatbread- very good. Crispy crust but still tender. Nice balance of sauce and cheese HH online says 3 but it doesn't actually start til 4 Nice wine options.

GF pals... this is a great place for you! The food was wonderful with regard to gluten free options. I loved the ambiance, too - and check out how cute and aesthetically pleasing our drinks were! The primary reason I have 4 stars and not 5 is the slowness of our service. It was also noticeably slow because my friend and I were there gabbing for some quite some time and we still noticed how slow it was. Maybe an off day..?

Cica never misses. The Valentine's Day menu was perfect and the service was great. Will definitely return soon. All the ladies were given a rose.

During the last 8 years while living in Northern Virginia, Circa at Clarendon was our go-to place. My wife and I enjoyed the food, drinks, and outstanding customer service. Circa at Clarendon was almost our second home. We would like to thank every single member of the Circa Team for hosting us for over 8 years. We were greeted with a smile every time we entered the restaurant and they made every dining experience a memorable event. We dined there multiple times each month and the service, drinks, and meals were consistently great. Circa at Clarendon is a well-established restaurant that checks every box with a great management team, well-trained service staff, and an experienced team in the kitchen. The entire team at Circa is very professional, and many of the team members have been working at Circa for many years. We were lucky to meet them and enjoyed chatting with them every time we visited. Several months ago, we asked the management team if they would be able to prepare a special menu for us to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. With no hesitation they coordinated with the Chef and put together a special Peruvian style dinner for us which included a special dessert. We moved out of the Washington DC area a week ago and we already miss Circa at Clarendon.

Loved their brunch! Such great deals, I love the variety on their menu. Our server gave us great advice and our food came out fast and was very fresh. Inside had plenty of seating and was a lovely restaurant. They even did decorations for the cherry blossoms which I thought was so precious. Definitely recommend!

Been wanting to try circa since the patio always looks so inviting when the weather is nice. Finally went for brunch- unfortunately it was a little too cold to sit outside, but still had a good experience! The service was pretty quick. Got the salmon Benedict which had a really good sauce and was overall a really solid benedict. Just wish the base had more bread or maybe a different kind of bread to better soak up the sauce.

We had a work outing and reserved a space with drinks and appetizers. Nice restaurant to have a work get together. Food was excellent. We got the sliders, poke with chips, Ceasar salad, pizza. etc. The drinks were good too. Work paid so I can't comment on the price but overall a very nice restaurant with good eats.

Very disappointing. Staff were unapproachable and rude. The food was mediocre and they got my friend's meal wrong. The chairs inside were visibly DIRTY. I would definitely skip.

Classic staple in the arlington area. Food was delicious. The atmosphere is pretty good. The service was okay. They seemed pretty busy, but we ended up waiting about 30 min for our table. All in all a good meal. The food never disappoints.

Spontaneously stopped by CIRCA with some people this past Thursday evening for a late dinner and some drinks. They have an extensive menu, but I didn't feel like spending over 20 for a quick bite, so that knocks out a good chunk of the menu. A couple people told me that the burgers were pretty good, so I chose one of those. CIRCA BURGER - 16 This comes with a standard burger with a massive amount of fries. The burger itself was OK. I liked the aged cheddar (very distinct flavor in every bite), but the beef patty was overcooked (asked for medium-rare) and the bun at the bottom was super oily and soggy. The flavors were fine, nothing special. The vegetable toppings helped make the burger less dry. The fries were super crispy, but not very seasoned. Overall, it was an average burger and average fries. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about. CIRCA has a nice and casual environment for a quick bite and a variety of drinks to choose from.

Great menu selection and attentive service. Generous portions of everything from apps to mains. Liked that the serving dishes were very consciously chosen to enhance the appearance of the individual dishes. Favorites at our table included the rainbow trout seasonal special, the Thai shrimp salad, the barbecue chicken flatbread and the stunningly good calamari (love the olives and cherry peppers!). Maple Old-Fashioned cocktail was yummy too -- not too overly maple. Acoustics are a little rough -- they need more sound absorption in the restaurant-- hard to hear your server and table mates.

I had the calamari and seared scallops with risotto and it was so good! Especially the calamari there was a healthy helping of it. The services were super attentive I wasn't able to eat my first dish and they kindly replaced it for me. The ambiance was great for a romantic date night. Will definitely be back.

The drinks were good, we came for happy hour and it was a good price. We ordered calamari and it came with like a bunch of random veggies as well which were alright but honestly wish it was just calamari. The service was great, our server was very personable. The bathroom was cute. The restaurant had a nice vibe. Lots of seating indoor and outdoor.

Both times we've gone, it was during their happy hour, which runs until 7 pm, and we stuck to the special menu. Those have included their Charcuterie Board (something that contributed to Dr. Oz not being a senator), crispy Brussels sprouts, their Margarita flatbread, chicken skewers, and truffle fries. Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. After it opened up for a bit it was quite drinkable.

My first impression of Ser was its ambiance - nice mood lighting, comfy seats, and just the right amount of ambient noise. We had a reservation (recommended!) and were quickly ushered to our seats and given menus. The waiter was courteous, prompt (always re-filling our water glasses), and helpful when we had questions about the menu (e.g., about which wine he preferred). This was our first (but not last) time visiting Ser, and our initial foray into the menu was pretty basic. My wife and I split the jarrete de cordero (lamb shank), three tapas dishes (croquetas, pan Catalana, and berenjenas [fried eggplant]), and two cheeses. My wife's favorite tapas was the pan catalana, which was bright and slightly salty/sweet in flavor with great texture in the balance between the crispness of the bread and the softness of the tomato. I preferred the croquetas, each of which coated my mouth with the warmth of hot cheese and rich meat. The lamb shank consisted of a massive piece of meat on the bone, resting on a bad of mashed potatoes and slices of sweet peppers. The lamb itself was what it should be: thick, tender, and juicy with a rich, slightly gamey flavor. The addition of the mash and peppers made it even better, and I can say that this is the first time that I actually enjoyed peppers - before I just tolerated them, even in my own cooking. These peppers paired perfectly with the mash and lamb, and I relished every bite. I would be tempted to order this same thing again on our next visit, but I have to know what the meat paella is like. Anyway, it all paired perfectly with the Spanish tempranillo (that our waiter helped me select). I would be remiss if I did not talk about our to-go box. The lamb was too much for us (and by "us", I mean my wife, who was not up to the task of eating her share of the main course), and we asked for this to be boxed to take home with us. And I was blown away when the remains of our dinner were brought back to us already deboned (but with the bone included). I found this to be above and beyond, as I was not looking forward to cutting that meat off the bone (to put in my next day's lunch, which was glorious), not the least because I am not very good at doing this. And that we still got the lamb bone meant either stock for a stew or sharing a treat with our four-legged housemate. We really appreciated this!

The service we received from her was by far the best service I have received in a very long time here in the DMV. I actually stopped dining out as much as I used to because service has declined over the past few years sadly to say. She was patient, made suggestions on some tasty meals but most importantly, had a great personality that you can tell is authentic & genuine which made a simple girls brunch that much more memorable. Now as the food.....I'll just say this, DELICIOUS! My friends and I shared different items on the menu for brunch from hors d'oeuvres to main course down to dessert.
