How cute is this place! We were looking to try new spots to watch football outside the city, and this is a top contender. I love the seating style, the bar stools or the couches. It makes it feel so laid back even though it appears to be a bit above your typical bar. We made recommendations since the restaurant itself recommended it and I would say go ahead and do that. The TV's for Sunday football aren't preset the way other bars are, but the Manager ensured everyone saw the game they wanted to see based of your seating so the reservation seems like a safe bet. The food is really really really good for bar food and the drinks are reasonably priced, especially on a Sunday. The commute from DC is also a simple ride on the metro and a quick walk across the street. Highly recommend!

Everything was great! The waitress recommended my husband get the Sam Adams winter lager and he really liked it! Food was amazing too! Definitely recommend!

New bar and lounge in the area, really like the cozy and intimate feel. A group of 8 friends came here on a Friday night, were able to get a reservation. There are tvs at every angle which is nice if you're a sports fan. We came for happy hour which had great deals, i ordered a pint of beer and 8 wings for $15. I really liked the flavor of the mango habanero wings. They brought out biscuits to our table too which were also tasty. The bartender was super nice and attentive. Prices for beer and food were pretty reasonable, cocktails were a little high in my opinion. Throughout the night, we noticed the vibe change into more of a bar scene. Overall, I would come back. It's a nice place to hang with friends and watch sports.

Came to watch a football game, food and drinks were good. Ordered old bay wings and waffle fries. They could have cleaned the wings better there were a lot of hair & feathers though.

Old space, completely new design. Hyde is a new sports bar in the Clarendon Arlington area. I can't recall what it was before but I visited Halloween Weekend and had a great time! Clarendon night bars aren't known for great service but our waitress kept checking in, bringing water, drinks and good energy all night! I was impressed with that. The DJ was great and there's enough space to dance when the lights get low or get seated at a booth. I was still able to conversatie with my table so the music level was just right. I believe the center furniture is 1st come, 1st serve. Maybe I'll be back to try food but my experience of it at night was great!

This is a newer location that replaced my beloved Pamplona restaurant in the Clarendon area. I decided to pop in to grab some food and check out some of the NFL playoff games taking place that day. I'd consider this more of an upscale sports bar by comparison to the traditional hole in the wall spots, it has bars on both ends of the restaurant as well as several tables with comfy couch seating great for large or small parties. I got there early enough to grab a seat at the bar, there was plenty of friendly and welcoming staff on hand seemingly well-prepared to accommodate what became a growing crowd before the game which is always appreciated. Their menu features starters like bang bang shrimp, chicken tenders, and calamari (starter prices ranging from $11-$17), in addition to heartier entrees like New York Steak, mushroom ravioli, and pan-roasted salmon (entree prices ranging from $15-$30). They also offer a variety of cocktails options from their frozen painkiller to their espresso rye beverage (ranging from $14-$22). I decided to try out a few different items: the waffle fries, beef sliders, old-bay flavored jumbo wings, and the philly cheesesteak eggrolls. The food took awhile to come out given the large amount of customers at that time but the server was intentional about providing periodic updates on the items. As for the food: the fries were good, hot and not overdone, the beef sliders were probably my favorite item simple but really flavorful, the eggrolls were a bit underwhelming since that was the item I was most enthusiastic about trying but something about the composition and flavor profile didn't agree with me, and the old bay wings were excellent, well-seasoned but not overbearing with the seasoning which is a common issue with a lot of the old bay wings I've tried at sports bars. All in all a really positive experience and I'll definitely be returning to try some more of the entree items.

On both visits I had the toro tartare on the specials menu and have tried the tequila-based City Runner spicy marg 2x now. There is something for all drinkers though, and lots of food selection. The atmosphere is chill, with great decor and thoughtful lighting and as the name suggests, bartenders always have a record going. The front room is largely the bar with high tops up front. They've put a cozier dining room in the back room. Great spaces for a friend catch-up or date. Since taking over the space from Cava, I also appreciate the bathroom upgrades.

This place is perfect to meeting with friends or even a date night. The back or the restaurant is dark, but in a good way. They also had live music Saturday night (not sure if this is every night). It was a good volume, until they went back to the restaurant music and then it got LOUD. Not too bad, just was shocked that it was so loud. For food we started with my fave, miso soup. After that we had the Chirashi. It was a nice assortment and a good start to dinner. Next we did the Dragon Roll, a classic and they didn't disappoint. We had a couple mocktails and drinks and were able to chitchat before trying the Marisol Roll which was amazing! Lastly, we wrapped up the night with the Earl Grey Crème Brûlée, a great sweet treat. I will certainly return to this spot. Not only was it a fun vibe, but the food was good and the service was awesome.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. Not my crowd, but met one of my friends here after work in Arlington around 6:30 since the weather was perfect yesterday. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. One day, I'll come back to watch people ride the bull downstairs, which I imagine that to be hilarious and entertaining. The bartender told me the place doesn't come alive until about 9pm, so that's when it's crowded and probably off the chain.

I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

About that $23 salad: The portion is a little skeet (that's an STL term - look it up) but the chicken was honestly juicy and flavorful as hell. Could not ask for a better parking situation. Ordering was almost seamless. We got there at 1 o'clock, middle of the day on 4/18, plenty of empty tables. We went up to the bartender to take our order, and then gave them our table number and they delivered it. The QR code on the table only shows you the menu. It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
