[[HIGHLIGHT]]A german-inspired bierhall that's true to it's intentions, Bronson's is a popular one in the Arlington area and rightfully so.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]With plenty of tvs, open-style seating, and a menu of german bar eats, there's a lot to like with this establishment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can either order at the bar or use your phone to scan the barcode at the tables and pay as you go in which someone will bring your order to you upon completion. If you're an introvert or just hate talking to people, this is the way to go. As for beer, there's a large variety available on tap here and they are served in large servings. About 16 on tap, it comes in either half liter or full liter. Tons of German style beer such as Hefeweizen, kolsch, and the Optimal Wit by Port City, one of my favorites. As for food, think of mostly bar food with some German handhelds which include sausages/bratwurst which is what I usually order; they come with peppers/onions and sauerkraut. The also have burgers, pizza, and different kinds of pretzels. You can also go with their hodgepodge of appetizers such as tacos, wings, pierogis, nachos, wontons, and others. It's a bigger menu than you would think for a bierhall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a popular spot for me and my coworkers whenever we're in Arlington.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always look forward to hanging here for some beer and to watch a game of some sorts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Best time to come here is Happy Hour before 6, since crowds of young people flock this place for late night drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Incidentally, I always notice a very healthy under-30 crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came here at 5:30 and loved the HH specials. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Generous TV screen set up and spacious hall adds to the atmosphere of merrinent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bar staff is super attentive, which is appreciated. Overall recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I LOVEE this bar!!! It's my favorite ambiance, vibe, food, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot is always rowdy and they have tons of tvs, great food options, and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] October is my favorite time to come to this bar because they have a reallyyyyy goood October fest beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came on the weekend and it was already hard to find a table around 12:30 pm. There were a couple of tables reserved so we couldn't sit there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered: October fest beer it came in the 1L beer stein 10/10 Bronson Reuben Sandwich with tater tots 9/10 Huge sandwich! Bursting with flavor Pizza Pretzel 9/10 Gigantic pretzels super delicious. I love their queso but it didn't come with the queso. I didn't get a picture I was too busy easy Overall, this is my favorite bar and a solid choice. Especially because I don't like bar food like that. I highly recommend this spot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice indoor beer spot for Happy Hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here after work and it's a good place to chat, watch the game, etc[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fried pickles are an acquired taste but the mozzarella bites were good! I also asked for a sweet cocktail so they gave me a summer coolade (?) and it was nice and refreshing.

Super chill pub with a great outdoor area in Arlington! Service was quick and good. Food was ok: - Stuffed pretzel: 10/10 (probably the best dish we ordered! It was cheesy and savory. Loved the dipping sauce it came with.) - Sausage board: 8/10 (decent variety of sausages with mustard on the side) - Buffalo wings: 6/10 (ok wings) - Beer: 7/10 (a lot of the beer selection was out of stock by the time we got there. Beer was good but it would've been better if the beer was a bit colder.)

This pub is super chill. You walk in and find your spot wherever you find it. They have really good food!! I got old bay wings (made crispy/well done) and I also got the berry salad and added steak. My sister got the blue crab pretzel and just as a heads up, ITS HUGE! Not an item for one person. For a drink, I got Sauvignon Blanc. All items are reasonable priced and there is outdoor seating. It can get SUPER loud inside so that can be a bit over stimulating. I found myself plugging my ears with my fingers There is street parking or garages around - me and my sister took the train from DC and called it a day. To order, you can scan the barcode on your table and the server will bring your food to the table. Super fast and easy.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Been here recently and this is a great sports bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is alot of seating but can get packed if there are big games going on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is outdoor seating with heat lamps which are very warm![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and drinks are good. You scan the barcode at your table to order and pay and they bring it out to you so there is no hassle to wait for a check or waiter.

Came to watch a basketball game, and was surprised my friends and i were able to get a seat. Usually Bronson's is packed when games are on. However, this time it had a nice amount of people. They also had live music, the singer was amazing. I wish i would have gotten his name. I got what I have gotten before which is the sliders, which were delicious and not too heavy. I split that, and a caesar salad with my friend which was a nice size portion and super good. We got the prickly pear margarita, and were not a fan at all. I had one sip and it tasted as if I was drinking hot sauce. I tried to add sprite and water to make it better but unfortunately it was undrinkable. My friend said she has had this drink before and it was a different color and tasted different, so maybe it was just made incorrectly. Not sure I will try it again, but my curiosity is getting the better of me so we shall see. We finished off our meal with the cookie skillet, which was a large portion of a giant chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was surprisingly only $7 and was enough for 3 people. Great place for some shareables, and drinks.

Surprisingly great food for a beer hall! Reasonably priced too. I love the vibes of the indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of tables in both spaces too which is great for big groups. It's seat yourself and you don't really have wait staff, you order with a QR code. Great vibes with lots of live music

The manager (maybe bar manager) is AMAZING here. The whole staff is on top of everything and works great as a team. Food and drinks are incredibly fast for how busy it was (game 7 basketball night, standing room only) and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's such a great environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great food and beer, better service. Would be here all the time if we were from the area!

I had been here twice, once in early January 2024 and once on Saturday, December 14, 2024, both were the same friend's birthday party. For his December 2023 birthday, he decided to wait until after holidays as it was a busy time for him & people in general. I'll into more detail about the December visit, but the January visit I had a burger & fries and a beer. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. In December, my girlfriend & I had a tight schedule on that Saturday and determined we were going to need to eat there, as we had something after the birthday party as well. I wasn't that enthusiastic about this (as I felt it was kind of overpriced, mediocre, and if we had time we could've eaten before or after), but we didn't have much choice. Both visits the inside area was crowded, but we did the outside patio area, which was cold in the winter, but not really too bad with some heat lamps around. In January, we were at a couple of high top tables, but the December visit was at a long picnic bench. I had forgotten from the January visit, but this was something that was annoying; there is a scanner to get the menu, and then you had to place the order on your phone with no servers except for when they bring the food/drink to your table # and to clean. I didn't like this setup. For one I prefer looking on a physical menu instead of scrolling through a small phone to determine what I want. I like when a server comes around (or ordering at a counter). I'm sure you could go inside to order food with the bartender, but that would be hassle with us being outside and being a crowded bar. On this long outside table, the scanner was only on our side of the long table, which was fine for us. But some at the party had to come from way over at the other end of the table just to scan as their side didn't have, which we thought was stupid; they should've been on both sides of the table. Also, it asks for a tip ahead of time. I'm not going to tip ahead of time until I know whatever service I'm getting is decent. In January, I left a couple of bucks in cash since it's not even full service. In December, we left and forgot since we paid up front (oh well). We waited a little bit as we weren't that hungry but knew we needed to eat. We waited about 30 minutes to see what a few people got. We determined the pizza looked good. Someone let us sample the pretzel; it was decent, but I didn't want some big bulky pretzel for dinner, which wasn't that great. We decided to get hush puppies & split pizza. The hush puppies were excellent, the best I've had in while! The pizza was good, but plenty of better pizza places, but it hit the mark enough with the chicken & mushroom. If my friend does his birthday party here again, I might try to eat before (or after). But if we were going to eat here, I'd definitely recommend the hush puppies. Pizza I'd be fine with getting again.

The Italian Store has so many Italian subs to choose from, but I went with the Milano, their most popular sub. The combination of the sweet and spicy peppers really made this sandwich stand out. There was just the right balance of flavors, and I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular choices. A heads-up when ordering: They typically have several sandwiches pre-made and ready to go, but if you want something made fresh to order, you'll need to order by phone or online. At least at the Lyon Village location, you can't order a made-to-order sandwich directly at the counter. So if you have your heart set on a freshly made sub, plan ahead! Of course, no Italian sub is complete without chips. They carry Route 11, a Virginia-based chip company, and they had several varieties available: lightly salted, dill pickle, Chesapeake Crab, Mama Zuma's Revenge, and salt & pepper. I went with the lightly salted, which was the perfect pairing with my Milano. Unfortunately, the Lyon Village location doesn't have fresh gelato, so I had to settle for the pre-packaged variety. I went with the caramel gelato, and it was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated, although it was a little on the expensive side. The store was pretty busy when I stopped in, with several people inside and a few others enjoying the outdoor tables. They also sell pizza by the slice, or you can order a whole pizza to take home. I saw several people leaving with whole pizzas, so clearly I need to add that to my next visit. Between the Milano, Route 11 chips, and caramel gelato, this was a fantastic first experience. Definitely coming back -- next time, I'm trying the pizza!

Well seasoned with a good crunch. The steak and cheese for me was a mixed bag...I saw my food coming and was dumbfounded by how big the bread was, and I didn't see any meat popping out. Pulled the sandwich open and saw what little meat I got. For $12.95, I feel a little ripped off. Especially when places like The Broiler and George's Steak and Things offer similar prices with an astoundingly higher meat in the meat to bread ratio. What little of the meat was available was delicious. I wish I had gotten a sub-$13 worth, not barely $7.65. Not sure I could come back. With how much I paid, it felt like a diminished return. The smashburgers are made with 100% halal beef and they come out HOT with perfectly crispy edges on the patties and a juicy center. We ordered 3 burgers and each of them stood out in their own way. You can get a single, double, or triple patty burger and add whatever toppings to it too. The jalapeño burger was the star of the show, it had a such a nice and spicy kick to it. I wasn't expecting much but this burger had HEAT! Another favorite was the Juicy Lucy. It was packed with grilled onions and the patty was stuffed with cheddar cheese. A super messy and cheesy option that was definitely worth every bite! I liked that Jon's Joint offered other options too such as loaded fries and fried chicken sandwiches. What I found unique is that for the loaded fries, you can get it with falafel and make it spicy! This time, they had run out of the falafel so I am excited to try it next time. Then we spotted Colada Shop tucked away in a little corner/alley next to Tatte. Naturally, the plan changed. When a place catches your eye like that, you have to investigate! Colada Shop is a cute little spot with a small patio, a few booths, and a bar inside. You can order using a QR code, kiosk, or directly at the bar. We opted for the bar and were greeted right away. The vibe inside is relaxed, casual, and full of Latin influences. There are also self-serve water stations both inside and out on the patio--which is always appreciated, especially when you're walking around Clarendon just looking for a "quick bite" that somehow turns into a full meal. I went with the Colada Shop Cuban, while the wife ordered the empanada tray with bacon & egg, summer corn, and beef, along with the chilled corn soup. The Cuban was delicious! It came with a generous amount of ham and slow-roasted pork, making for a seriously satisfying sandwich. The wife's chilled corn soup was actually the star of her meal. The empanadas were hot, flaky, and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, although I did notice there wasn't quite as much interaction with guests sitting on the patio or in the booths. Most of the interaction seemed to happen at the bar. There also appeared to be a pretty small staff, with most of their attention focused on the coffee bar. That said, our bartender was doing ALL the things--helping customers at the bar, handling coffee orders, and delivering food to people sitting in the booths. Despite the limited staffing, we still had a great experience. Everything came out fresh, the food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. So if you're wandering around Clarendon and find yourself debating where to eat, keep an eye out for Colada Shop. You might just walk in for a quick bite and walk out wondering why you hadn't tried it sooner.

Everything on it was great, with my favorite being the sliders since it was crispy and a little meaty. The empanada was a little oily but still satisfying, and the croquettes had great crunchy texture. Yuca was okay. I should've gotten a sweeter coffee drink cause I have a sweet-tooth but it was still solid. The inside vibe is pretty chill. You just grab seating yourself and can order on your phone through the QR code that's associated with the table. You can also order at the front.
