First timing visiting Ruthie's All Day! We were meeting another couple and planned to dine outside on the patio but the rain had other plans. The Ruthie's team was very accommodating and called us to rebook an inside table for 45 mins after our originally scheduled reservation. However, upon arrival our table wasn't ready. The staff offered us drinks while we waited, which we appreciated in the moment, but we were surprised to see the four coffees we ordered added to our bill. It gave the impression they were being offered as a courtesy, so that was a bit disappointing. We started with the cornbread skillet, which had great reviews online, but unfortunately ours came out dry and didn't quite live up to the hype. The deviled eggs, on the other hand, were really good and a great start to the meal. For entrees, the apple pie pancakes were the clear winner - absolutely delicious and topped with a generous scoop of fresh whipped cream. The fried chicken biscuit was also fantastic and something we'd order again. The brisket hash, which our waiter highly recommended, was good but ended up being our least favorite entree. One thing that really stood out was the ambiance--the fresh florals on the tables, at the hostess stand, and even in the bathroom were such a thoughtful touch and made the space feel elevated and inviting.

Used my trusted Yelp app to find a restaurant in the neighborhood. Entered the bright and light restaurant surrounded by large windows. They also have dining outside on the patio. Seated very quickly with no reservation. Waiter was friendly and helpful since it was our first time dining there. I ordered the half chicken which had an interesting sauce, cooked slaw was very tasty and the Mac n cheese was delicious and bread crumbs on top. My husband had the brisket which was a large portion and very tasty, Mac n cheese and mashed red potatoes. We ended the meal with an apple cobbler with ice cream. Was a little disappointed as the apples were hard soft, but it was flavorful.

Reservation highly recommended. There's still a short wait due to its popularity. Food is fresh and good. Noisy Ambiance, modern fresh motiff.

My wife loved her Pimento Breakfast sandwich and I liked my Rad Bowl. If I could give it a 4.5 I would. The grits bowl had everything I love. Grits, Fried egg, fried onion straws, peppers, pulled pork. And it worked. It was good. But not amazing. I liked each ingredient separately, as a whole... Large space. Very friendly and clean. It was a nice breakfast.

We made a quick stop at Ruthie's All-Day diner just west of Arlington National Cemetery early afternoon on a Saturday. There's brightly window-lit indoor seating for about 45, and patio seating for about 40 more, all at tables for 2, 4, or 6, with the larger tables combinable for larger groups. The staff was welcoming and efficient. We got there a little before brunch officially ended at 3pm, and just the same, they took our grab-and-go order from the weekend post-3pm "Mid-Day Menu". We got several Smoked Pulled Pork-Shoulder sandwiches: stacked with very tender moist pulled-pork and brightly flavored house slaw and pickle-slices, on soft tasty toasted sesame milk-bread buns. Good staff, Good food, Quick service even when busy. You cant ask for better!

This one pains me to write because I had really been looking forward to trying Ruthie's All-Day. I'm hoping our experience was just a one-off. The cocktails were just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The meal started off strong with the sharables. The cornbread was good and the apple doughnuts were really good! My daughter ordered the apple pancakes. She felt there were a little too many apples, but said the pancakes themselves were fluffy and cooked just right . She also had a side of hashbrowns she really enjoyed these. My husband had the Big Plate and said the bacon and potatoes were both extremely tasty I ordered the steak frites and unfortunately it was the most disappointing part of the meal. The steak had absolutely no seasoning and very little flavor. The fries weren't hot and seemed a bit overcooked, and the chimichurri sauce was extremely underwhelming and also lacked flavor. That said, I did really enjoy the atmosphere. We sat inside but the windows were opened creating a flow from the inside dining area to the outside space. I can imagine the outdoor seating being really nice in the evening as the weather warms up. Our waitress was pleasant but not very attentive. If in the area I would be willing to give it another try and just order something different next time.

Vibe: this is such a cute spot. It can get loud and crowded, but on a Saturday morning it's not so bad you can't hear one another. Definitely need a reservation! Service: no complaints! Value: a bit pricy if you think about it as a "diner", but the atmosphere matches the price IMO. Ruthie's Big Plate: excellent and so filling. I usually can clear a breakfast plate, but had to enlist my husband to help me out! The biscuits are a must try. The jam is delicious, but I loved the biscuit flavor alone! Steak & eggs: this was also wonderful. Loved the seasoning on the fries!

Ruthie's is hitting the mark on the classics. The deviled eggs are a 10/10. The Chicken Salad Sandwich special was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and the bacon was smoked to perfection. The only missed note was the salad dressing, which felt a little uninspired compared to how vibrant the rest of the meal was. Highly recommend for a high-quality, local lunch. Interior is fresh and bright with a nice outdoor deck. Great friendly service.

Perfect place for more savory brunch options. I was a bit bummed since I was in a more sweet mood (for once) but the donuts did help with that. The steak and eggs with chimichurri were delicious, highly recommend. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for nice weather days.

15 out of 10: This place remains Arlington's GOAT for diner food. I have yet to try something that's not amazing. Vibes here are always on point. Thanksgiving catering is some of the best. Wish they would offer that menu selection year round!

Service was great. While I didn't understand why I needed a reservation on Saturday, I get it now. The place was packed. Food was as great as advertised. Tried several dishes all were good. Especially liked that they knew how to fry eggs over medium. Wife loved the biscuits and gravy- suggested if you order it come hungry! Lost 1 star because they have such small rest rooms in such a large restaurant.

This is one of those neighborhood restaurants with great comfort food. The food and service were great. I had the biscuits and gravy, and it wasn't too salty or runny. The 2 fried eggs were a nice touch.

I checked out this restaurant for the first time the other day with friends and loved it! We made a reservation and were seated quickly. The inside is quaint and nicely decorated. The service was also really good. I tried the mulled cider as a drink and it was delicious. For dinner, I had the brisket and two sides. I picked mac & cheese and coleslaw. The meal was really good and I also loved the milk bread and pickles that came with it as well. Everyone else really enjoyed their food as well. I would love to come back and try more of their menu.

What's the walk-in situation for evenings & weekends?

On the weekends it is hard to walk in and they take reservations so would recommend booking a table in advance.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. Not my crowd, but met one of my friends here after work in Arlington around 6:30 since the weather was perfect yesterday. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

Our server, Kristina, (remembered her name because it's also my best friend's name) was hands-down the best I've ever had. Super attentive, kind, and she even helped us with directions & gave us directions on where to park when we got lost. That level of care is rare. She was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
