Marquis was great! Super sweet and kind! Made sure we were good for our entire visit.

The food was good and our waiter Marquis was great! He was friendly and attentive! We enjoyed our experience at the Ocean Shack.

First seafood boil and it was great can't wait to go back! We got the #1 and it was perfect for two people and a side of huh puppies. We decided on the mix it all in sauce and with mild spiciness. Hostess was so sweet and helped us with the menu and the food came out at a reasonable time. Vibes were chill and made me feel like I was in ocean city. Only thing was indoor seating was a bit tight because it was busy but other than that it was great. read more

I really don't know how Ocean Shack gets reviewed so highly. But I've tried it twice and I wasn't a fan either time. The first time I thought maybe it was because I'm from the Eastern Shore and I could have high expectations but I'm just not thrilled. I ordered a snow crab combo and was very disappointed. My seafood bag was cold (how as I dined in). And the crab legs tasted like they were cooked and previously frozen, thawed and then nuked in the microwave. If you want seafood go to Quarter Deck or Hot and Juicy Crawfish. They're leagues better read more

Hmmm... Ocean Shack left me a little perplexed ? Don't know if I expected something more or if I was just disappointed at the overall experience. The Good: The fries and sauce are absolutely delicious. The 10pc wings were fried ( crisp) to perfection and came out hot !! The Not So Good: My oysters came out warm ? And it actually had me shook, because my first thought was where are they storing them ( seriously ) and if you're an oyster lover like me, you understand warm oysters just won't suffice ( ever ) On that note... I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit the establishment again. With that said, if I'm in the area I would give them a second chance to make a first impression ( which makes sense sometimes if the food world !!! ) FYI: They have a great staff... it's definitely a more laid back type of environment ( think chillin over your little cousins house ! ) read more

I stopped by Ocean Shack for Football Sunday and was seriously impressed, especially with their all-you-can-eat seafood boil special. For $57.99, you get rounds of seafood boils plus three appetizers each round, and the food really does keep coming. Everything is customizable, which I loved -- extra garlic, more spice, sauce on the side, they've got you covered. The seafood boil was flavorful and coated in fresh garlic, and the Mix-All flavor (Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper, and Old Bay combined) was my favorite -- highly recommend getting a side of sauce for dipping. My favorite appetizers were the gumbo, crab balls, and lemon pepper wings. The wings were crispy and well-seasoned, and the gumbo was comforting and full of flavor. They also have great drink options. The margarita flight (Mango, Strawberry, Spicy Cucumber, and Guava) came highly recommended and did not disappoint. If you like something sweet and fruity, definitely try the Pink Paradise cocktail. Overall, Ocean Shack is a fun spot for game day -- plenty of TVs, good vibes, and the food just keeps coming. If you're a seafood lover or looking for a Football Sunday hangout, this is definitely worth checking out. read more

I came here for the all you can eat seafood boil. It was $57.99 per person. Each round comes with 3 appetizers and 3 seafood selections. My husband and I were only able to eat 2 rounds of seafood and 1 round of appetizers. I enjoyed the seafood boil and would come back for it. In terms of customer service, the manager on duty wasn't very inviting, but luckily our male server was nice and welcoming. read more

2 adults and 3 kids, all you can eat deal, we were all happy and full! We got the 3 apps and crab legs, crawfish and shrimp. The kids (9,11,14) loved cracking the crawfish open and just had a blast getting a little dirty. Adults also got Micheladas that were near perfect. Yes, it was expensive, but you only live once, and the food is really really good. We ended up not being able to finish everything, but they'll let you take the leftover fried apps home if you wish. We had a few pieces of catfish to munch on for a late night snack. I also appreciate that they have a sink to wash your hands outside of the bathrooms cause lord knows you gotta scrub your hands after this epic meal. read more

My little one brought me here for a little daddy daughter time for Father's Day and it did not disappoint. Our server was came to us shortly after we were seated and introduced us to him and then the restaurant and asked if we've been there before. We told him no and he told us we were in for a treat and he told no lies. We looked over the menu for no reason other than they had one because we knew we were going all-in on the all-u-can-eat buffet. We knew it was serious when they not only gave us a bib but gloves. Obviously we've never met because finger-licking is what I'm after. The only "odd" thing for me was the eggs BUT I ordered them 'cause I love me some eggs. I just didn't expect them to be part of the menu. Everything, and I mean everything was seasoned perfectly. For me, nothing was over-seasoned and although it all had the same base seasoning, you could taste the differences in the foods. I will definitely be back with the rest of the fam. read more

My seafood boil was perfect and the crab bites, definitely recommend! We will be back soon! Thanks Marquis for the experience! read more

10 out of 10!!!!!! Glad we decided to drop in!!! Cool vibes!!! Quaint little spot with good food, great drinks, and good service! Misha the bartender is the TRUTH!!! Tried the margarita flight and it did not DISAPPOINT!!! A lot of places that offer flights skimp but baaabby there was no skimping here!!! Food was delicious and LARGE portions! We tried the game day catfish special and the snow crab boil. Forgive me for not getting the best pics of my boil. I was vibing to the music and into Misha drinks!!! But the empty shells on my husband plate was the only evidence of how much food was in my boil that I kept passing it to him!!! I'm a foodie and love traveling off the beaten path of tourism! I'll definitely be back when in town! read more

We were in the area and decided to find a seafood spot. Dropped in here on a random Thursday night. There were a decent amount of people in the small space and pretty lively considering it was a weeknight. Wasn't greeted immediately and to wait a few minutes but was eventually led to a clean table. My spouse got a seafood boil, lobster roll, and I got a shrimp plate and some loaded crab fries. The service was spotty, a lot of the servers were huddled around the bar chatting and we had to flag them multiple times. Food was just ok. The shrimp plate I got wasn't anything to write about, and the fries were good but it was just standard cheese sauce with a bit of toppings sprinkled in. Their lobster roll is very very tiny, but the server did warn us about that so that was nice of them. If I was in the area and I was hungry, I might come back because the prices are decent, but overall the food nor the service were that great the night we came. read more

I hesitate to offer my review for this spot. Sometimes, you want to keep good things all to yourself. But, that wouldn't be nice...Right? If you are looking for a great little spot to get your fill of seafood, don't walk..run to the Ocean Shack (OS). From the AYCE option to the CYA seafood boil, you cannot possibly go wrong. I have been three times over the past six months and can't wait to return this weekend. I am looking forward to building my own little bag of joy with headless shrimp, sausage, broccoli and ramen! The times that have been there have been elevated because of good customer service. I have no complaints at all. I hope I don't regret sharing this review. I want to be able to visit the O.S. and not have to wait in a long line for seating. BTW - They also have live entertainment on some days. If you find yourself there one day...Happy Eating! read more

Hey Loves! Ocean Shack... let me just say the food was on point--PERIOD. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and piping hot. The all-you-can-eat deal? Totally worth it. I was living my best foodie life with every bite, and the drinks kept the vibes just right. Now, keeping it real--customer service could use a little polish. Having to flag down the waiter/waitress is not ideal, but once the food hit the table, all was forgiven. Overall: amazing eats, great drinks, and a place I'd definitely come back to (with a little patience ). read more

My first experience here was bad. I ordered the ayce seafood and it just took forever to get it. The crabs tasted old, so it was hard to get the meat inside of it. Our server was barely present to get us water refills, or anything. The trivia game was fun, but it was going too fast that it was hard to just enjoy the basic food. Since I won a gift card/coupon for winning the trivia, I came back a second time, hoping for a better experience. The fried oyster was alright, but the lobster roll was tiny for its price. I am definitely not coming back here, especially after giving this place a second chance. read more

GREAT selection. GREAT service and GREAT MUSIC! I came here for a solo dining experience because that's just how I roll. For all-you-can-eat seafood, the price is GREAT also. As I listened to the sweet soulful sounds of early 2000's R&B and ate like it was my last meal; I realized that I was indeed in my happy place. Do yourself a favor and order the crab balls. So, we came back. This is one of the places I hate reviewing because it's so damn good and I don't want people find out and create hour-long lines. Shrimp are large and crab legs are fresh and and crispy, not over steamed and hard to crack. David is still here and remembered details about us (from 6 months ago) which made us feel so welcome. Look around and you can see everyone enjoying themselves. Can't wait to go back. Please don't tell anyone. read more

We came into Ocean Shack for the first time after living in Arlington for over 20 years, and I can't believe we spent all that time driving across town for the same type of seafood. We've definitely been missing out. Marcquis was our server, and he was everything you'd want in a server. He was patient, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we were good without overdoing it. I even took a chance and asked for recommendations, and he absolutely did not disappoint. Honestly, I wanted to go back the very next day. Trying hard not to overdo it already. The atmosphere was great too. It's definitely more of a laid-back bar-style vibe, but still comfortable and welcoming. We already said we'll be bringing our kids back during the daytime hours. read more

It's really hard to find a place in Northern Virginia that specializes in well seasoned fried seafood. I was hoping that Ocean Shack would be it but unfortunately it was not. We stopped in to get takeout and ordered their fried shrimp and fried oyster platters with french fries and a side of his puppies. Granted, we ate the food at home which might've impacted the experience but it was just fine - not bad and not great. I would've appreciated some tartar sauce and more seasoning on the shrimp as well as a crispier French fry. The service was very friendly and helpful when we ordered and the decor made you feel like you were by the sea. Maybe I'll give other parts of their menu a try and actually dine in next time. read more

Had an incredible dinner here last night! The seafood was exceptionally fresh. ................

Great food and service. Excellent quality and quantity. Can't wait to go back! Best seafood I've ever had.

Their combination sauce is the best that I've ever had on snow crab legs today. And this is coming from a snow crab leg lover that has had snow, crab legs, and several states. There are a variety of seafood options there. You definitely wanna check them out. Plus, you can watch the game from most of the seating in the restaurant. The food was so good. First saw this restaurant on TikTok and it sparked my interest. I then of course came here to Yelp to read reviews and they were mixed, which truth be told made me a bit hesitant to visit, however a friend and I decided to give it a try (but I had a backup restaurant juuussst in case it wasn't good). NEWS FLASH - IT WAS GREAT!!! The All You Can Eat Seafood is $57.99 per person and it is absolutely worth every penny! You get to choose 3 "starters", 3 seafood items and also get to choose 3 "sides" all seasoned to your liking. EVERY SINGLE THING WE ORDERED WAS DELICIOUS & FRESHLY PREPARED! The drinks, especially the individual margaritas packed a nice punch and were yummy! There was truly only 1 server during lunch when we were there but the bartender jumped in and did double duty as a server to ensure all customers were taken care of and they deserve all the kudos in the world bc they took care of everyone w a smile. I know I am probably misspelling the bartender's name, but I want to give her a shoutout bc she was truly amazing ... so THANK YOU Aiiree (I hope it's not misspelled that bad lol). In one review someone had an issue bc glass plates weren't used for the AYCE and Seafood Boils yet in my opinion it makes perfect sense bc most seafood boils and crabs are served right on the table which is topped with brown paper or newspaper so, these plates were actually a step up. My friend and I are 100% returning and we're telling others to pay them a visit too :) PS - Restaurant is fairly small inside so there may be a wait during busy hours oh and there's ample parking in their lot. read more

Great food, great service. Beach bar vibes. Marquise was AWESOME!!! 5 stars all the way!!!!

Stopped by for a drink and dinner, sat at the bar. The bartenders never cleared the dirty dishes or glasses while there. Bar was sticky. Margarita was awful.
