This restaurant and another one named Dok Khao are my two favorite spots for Thai food in the DMV thus far. We had their mixed vegetable pad and their country curry with crispy chicken. The country curry was by far my favorite thing and tasted very, very good. Nice and savory, well spiced, and had a ton of aromatics to brighten up the entire dish. There was also a lot of vegetable vegetables, mixed in to brighten up the entire dish. The curry reminded me of a good khao soi with a little more sweetness. Regardless, it was super super enjoyable. I also loved the pad as well; the sauce was thick and coated all the vegetables nicely with this light savory flavor; if I had to describe what it taste similar to most, it taste similar to those crispy noodles you get at Chinese restaurant coded with a little bit of thick gravy. This one was better though and again I love the vegetables that were served with it. The presentation was beautiful when it came out and the service we had was very good. We came here after a long day of work and were surprised at both the decorations, atmosphere, and service. We will definitely be back. read more

Got takeout. Had shrimp tom kha, green and yellow curries, pra mixed vegetables, pad Thai and chicken satay. Main problem was dominance by one flavor and diminution of others, creating surprising lack of complexity. While daughter liked tom kha sounp, my spoonful of broth was dominated by sour taste. Curries and pad Thai were too sweet. Satay curry rub was also sweet, indicating that small amounts of curry paste used had too much sugar. Amounts and sweetness accounted for curry results. Satay sauce was surprisingly flavorless. On to the pra. I was worried, justifiably about soy ginger sauce dominating menu. Sauce was salty, had faint taste of sesame oil, not nearly as flavorful as Chinese counterpart. Some basil would have helped, but not solved saltiness and lack of complexity. In honoring request for gluten free soy sauce, missed request for spiciness. I had to add chile garlic sauce, including my own to fix. Overall, very one note food, poor example of complex cuisine. Had far too much meat, even when adjusting for American tastes. Actually took loss by adding more than $1 of chicken when I added it to pra. I was expecting veggies with chicken not chicken with perfunctory veggies. read more

I am beyond disgusted by my experience. After I had already started eating my papaya salad, I discovered a dead ladybug mixed into the food. It was absolutely revolting and completely ruined my meal. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition. Proper washing and food preparation should prevent insects from ending up in a customer's meal. This raises serious concerns about the restaurant's food handling and quality control. I will never return, and I believe this incident warrants a review of the restaurant's food safety practices. Finding a bug in prepared food is completely unacceptable. read more

We came here the first night after moving to the area. The restaurant was very cute, full but not overwhelmingly loud. We ordered the pork belly fried rice and chicken pad Thai. Both were really good, and they came out incredibly fast. The presentation was lovely, and our waiter knew we would want to take a picture. Definitely recommend. read more

Back with another Thai restaurant review bcus it's my obsession! Give me a Thai name atp! Such a glamorous Thai restaurant where I was able to sit in their little nook area by the window with my laptop in peace. I loved my Thai basil chicken dish and it being served in the elegant pink bird cage. The Thai lemonade was delicious, service was good and fast, and I loved the black and gold table set. Go, enjoy!! read more

Hidden gem with 4-10pm happy hour Monday-Thursday! Tasty food and friendly service. I appreciate that we weren't rushed arriving at 9pm, they just politely let us know that the kitchen would close soon and made sure to do a last call at each table. Cute decor and food presentation in lit up flowered cages. Absolutely worth a try, I'll likely revisit. read more

Ordered via UE and the delivery was great. Food arrived medium warm but butterfly shrimp were still crispy and fried rice needed more veggies and egg but the flavor was great. I would definitely order take-away again but next time I want to do brunch, the take-away food was that good. Round II: Stopped in after work because I wanted to try the wings and get some more butterfly shrimp. Immediately greeted upon entering, the music was flowing and several patrons were enjoying HH specials. I ordered take-away and it took about 10-15 minutes for my name to be called. Took my goodies to the car and tasted the wings....nope. They tasted off....stale...old...tough to chewy. They were chucked. I hate wasting my $$. The shrimp were just as good as yesterday and I have zesty cocktail sauce @home to complement them. Knocked off two stars for the stale wings and wasting my hard earned moola. read more

Great experience great food great drinks come here experience the great life here at LINJEE BAR in Alexandria Virginia

We did a takeout order here for dinner today, and the food was great. My only complaint was that the basil fried rice was not spicy at all! There was a jerk chicken-type dish which was fried and had gravy with it, and it was amazing. I do wish it was a bit spicier too. Everything here was good; I just personally wish it was spicier. read more

I was visit VA for the weekend, and this spot had been on my list for a while. The customer service was top tier and the food was good. I especially loved the crab rangoons! The drinks were my favorite part of the visit. The atmosphere has a very cool vibe. Its surprising that its located in a shopping center, but that worked for me because I hate searching for parking. read more

Linjee was a 10/10 experience! The service was amazing! We were greeted, seated and given water quickly. The menu had great variety and the dining area and bar were absolutely beautiful. You would never think of upscale it looked on the inside by judging the outside because it is located in a shopping center. The drinks were so well mixed and yummy. I only needed one so it was well worth what I paid. For an upcharge, they will service your drink with a sparkler. I didn't get one but my friend, who's was the birthday girl did. I definitely recommend the watermelon margarita. The food was brought to our table on a floral cage display. Mostly every appetizer I tasted was great: spring rolls, crab rangoons, and chicken satay skewers. The steamed dumplings were just ok. My entree was pad Thai with salmon and it was sooo good. I definitely recommend and would love to go back. read more

Please be aware when ordering your drinks here. I ordered the Bangkok 54 took one sip of it and it didn't taste good at all. It tasted like cough syrup. So I requested to exchange it but was told the policy didn't allow refunds or exchanges. I spoke with the manager and they wasn't concerned or cared about how I felt about the drink. I was told I still had to pay for it even though it didn't taste good. So basically the bartender can make a drink any way they want and you are responsible for paying it regardless. It was a $9 drink that could've been fixed but they didn't want to do that so they've lost a customer. Also they're not the nicest people and come off as rude or don't want to be bothered. The food was just okay, but definitely over priced. read more

Linjee Thai was excellent! My coworkers and I ate dinner here when I traveled to the area for work. While we aren't the typical clientele, the server was polite and helpful. Best Thai in the area! Great vegetarian options, listed on the menu how to make dishes vegetarian/ vegan. Good noodle to veggie to tofu ratio, a delicate balance well done! Definitely fooled by the fancy Instagram video my friend sent me. They do it up but with presentation but flavors are just okay. Prices are rather high as well. $22 for a lo mein beef bowl. $6 for a fountain drink. I felt the dumplings were a bit chewy. Overall not too bad, but definitely an overhyped restaurant that's decor leaves much to be desired when it comes to food taste. Service was good though, and it is a trendy vibe. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. read more

Honestly I have never eaten food so poorly made. Pad Thai was dry as some the noodles were hardened and the chicken was dry and flavorless. I've never had it so yucky. Plus they didn't even use flat style noodles. The drunken noodles were also overcooked, flavorless and the 3 pieces of broccoli were mushy too. Yuk. The spring rolls were nothing special either, and weren't hot when I picked up the $90 order! I ordered ground chicken dish (forgot name) and there was lettuce pieces in it (not as a lining) and was sooo plain. No rice either. I'll never drive 30 minutes to try a place rated high, only to be very disappointed in every dish. I threw leftovers away today. PS. Chicken satay was prefrozen warmed up with a good sauce but wasn't enough. read more

Linjee is a wonderful new restaurant. It is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of free parking. The restaurant gives DC vibes, but is in the suburb. That's the best of both worlds. All day happy hour is its selling point. Anytime is a good time to go. Didi is a great server. She takes care of all of her customers. She knows the menu and can suggest great drinks and entrees. read more

I visited Linjee Thai on a Saturday afternoon for a bestie date. This is a super cute place! I love the ambiance and the aesthetics. The neon signs, flowers, the bar looks big and opened, seating is comfortable, etc. the best part is that this place is in a shopping center so parking is right out front!!! lol. In the same shopping center is a Marshall's, Ross, Dollar Tree, etc. so don't go here for drinks and appetizers and spend your entire savings after like I did j/k. I ordered the dumplings, the beef and veggie stir fry, and an espresso martini. The food is right above average. It's not the best, but it's definitely not bad. I will go here for a quick vibe but not fine dining. Please don't take this as a negative review though, I'm FOR SURE returning. Just manage your expectations. My best friend ordered the crab rangoons and they were decent. We got the same entree. It is February so they have a super cute Valentine's Day drink menu and also a special winter drink menu. I thought that was super cute! lol read more

I've ordered their Pad Thai and it was tasty, but it had less portion compared to other Thai restaurant in the area and a bit overpriced. My order was carry out, so I don't know what their service was like. I saw the restaurant was clean and well decorated and they had a bar as well. read more

Not too bad for the hype tbh, will say for the price it's not ideal but the taste of the food was really good. The environment is very nice , loved the decorations of the place and how the food came. Linjee Thai - Crispy Chicken Drunken Noodles, Shrimp Traditional Fried Rice, Shrimp Lo Mein Noodles - Thai Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

I went here with high expectations due to other good reviews. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Everything was on a very sweet side. It does not give me the authentic Thai taste. Fried rice was very greasy. Chicken skewers were normal. Butterfly shrimps were overcooked. Thai tea was too sweet (more on the sugar side). Prices were high. The place's decor is in black and it felt disconnected. This place is more like an instagram post kind of place but nothing more than that. Staff was nice though I had to repeat what I needed a few times. I don't think I will return as there are better Thai places in the area. read more

We found this restaurant on Instagram, and my friend and I decided to check it out. We went on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't crowded at all, which was a plus. We arrived about an hour after they opened, and the restaurant is spacious, so whether you're dining solo, with a small group, or looking to host a larger gathering, there's plenty of room. The decor is gorgeous, with plates, bowls, and gold cutlery that perfectly match the restaurant's aesthetic. The service was ok. Our server was kind of flat. As for the food, both dishes were flavorful, well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were just right. The crab rangoon appetizer was tasty, especially since it was my first time trying it. It was a bit on the mushy side as far as the middle contents , but that's just my personal preference when it comes to texture. The taste was still good. We were a little annoyed that they don't serve brown rice nor can you sub the white rice the dishes automatically come with for fried rice. So we had to order a side of fried rice. The mocktails were a highlight--definitely crafted with care. They present the food well, as you can see in the pictures. The bathroom was spotless, which is always a nice touch! While the restaurant is in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking available. read more

Pricy, not traditional tai food, very sweet, looks a bar rather than a restaurant. Fried rice is okay, noodle is not good

The pineapple rice was ok, the curry NO. Servers cane to the table ever 5 minute. The environment was cute. My bill was $63, tax $7.56, tip $12.60 totaling $83.16, however somehow my card was charged more. $99 was posted to my account. I don't like that. Now w/ a business hanging 10 cameras in the ceiling to watch guest but yet somehow I get over charged. Now if I was to do something like that the police would lock me up. Last Friday, I hosted a Cancer and friends party of 16 event at linjee Thai. I saw the restaurant on ig and I had to celebrate there. I booked on Resy but I had to call to increase my party size. The staff was very professional and very hospitable. When I arrived, the table was set and the server was very nice to us. The purple rain cocktail was beautiful. I ordered the drunken noodles at spicy and it was delicious. The staff at linjee were fun, took our photos, didn't rush us out , and had excellent customer service. They are evil scamming azz people. They made my friend a bad drink..tasted like medicine. One sip was taken and she told the waitress behind the bar she wanted something else. The waitress behind the bar told her she still had to pay for the drink plus the new one..another time I was there on a date an I guess the guy didn't leave a tip..the bartenders started telling us we need to tip..I was like hah? What's going on.but they were trying to bully him into tipping. I couldn't believe my eyes. Most of the clientele is black. So they are nasty with a lot of rules. They over charge and if u ask for some sauce to.put on your rice..its like 2.00 or something..which should be free. They don't smile much..an it seems they just want your money an to hell with customer service read more
