Drunken khao soi - one of the best things I have ever eaten
    Patrick G.

Drop whatever you are doing and go get the drunken khao soi at this place. It's the best thing I've eaten all year as of August! I got it with fried chicken that was perfectly cooked, it's made with stir fried spicy egg noodles (yum!), chili jam, shrimp paste, fried shallot, fresh herbs, and steamed broccoli. It's a big portion too. Ambiance: It's one of the stands at the water park in Crystal City, plenty of tables. Quick service.

This place was formally named Tiki Thai. I asked about the name change and what prompted it, I was informed that it is the same owner, just an updated menu and new name. This business is located in the waterpark at National Landing in Crystal City. I stopped by for lunch today and ordered the pad Thai with fried chicken thigh. My coworker ordered the spring rolls. Once back at the office, we decided to share and try each other's orders. The pad Thai had a different flavor to it and was a little dry, and the chicken was just OK. The spring rolls were almost gummy on the inside and lacked flavor. The portion sizes were reasonable, it was $15 for the pad Thai with chicken, and the spring rolls were $8 for five. Overall, it was just meh, not sure I will return, other than for the fact that it is convenient to the workplace.

Lots of flavor and quick service, this is a great spot for an easy lunch. I love all the options at the Crystal city water park, including Birds Eye! The portion sizes are also generous and I had enough for leftovers, great spot!

Came here on opening night of the newly renovated Water Park. Lots of people came so the wait was about 30 minutes. I don't anticipate it being this long once all of the hype dies down. If you don't like waiting around, they do have online ordering for pick up. I tried several food items and overall was a fan: Khan Soi w Crispy Thigh ($17) - Highlight for sure was the crispy chicken thigh pieces. Overall, enjoyed this meal. Noodles were great and went well with the coconut curry. Fresh Mango & Sticky Rice ($10) - Such a staple Thai dessert. Says seasonal so I had to get it and it did not disappoint. Thai Iced Tea ($6.50) - Not super sweet as typical Thai spots serve them. So I give them props for that. Will be back again during my lunch hours and after work now that this whole spot opened up.

I am so happy that Tiki Thai opened a new location at Water Park. the trek to Reston is worth it but it is something else to have the deliciousness super close by. They have a limited but strong menu here with classics like Khao Soi and Dragon Khao Soi. They also have TO GO coctails which are super STRONG! That little bottle packs a punch! I tried the Mai Thai and wow !! Their spring rolls, thai iced tea and mango sticky rice are super delicious! You can eat outside or they are just now in Uber Eats so you can ordee too! Very friendly staff and definitely will satisfy your cravings!

Ambiance: (5/5) This is a great area to come to in the spring/summer. There is a lot of seating. Price: (3/5) I think due to portion sizes their appetizers are way overpriced. The entrees and desserts are a decent size. Food: (3/5) I was dosas that the tofu was hardly seasoned, the broccoli had no seasoning and the onions weren't even cooked. I think if all of that was cooked in the same sauce as the noodles, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. The gyoza was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. I did really enjoy the mango sticky rice. It was not too sweet and the mangos were very fresh. Service: (5/5) Food comes out fast.

Not the worst Thai I've had, but quite far from the best or most authentic. Tried the drunken Khao Soi; I see their attempt to make a popular soup/curry into a standalone noodle dish, but... it doesn't work. The vegetables that were present were fresh enough and the noodles flavorful and chewy, but the chicken was mediocre quality, rather dry and flavorless on its own with only a little sauce drizzled over it. Plus, there were no scallions, bean sprouts, and/or egg noodles to add authenticity, and the lack of a curry/coconut based broth is criminal for anything labeled "Khao Soi". Finally, the portion for the price... nope. Value isn't there; I'd recommend going to one of the local Thai restaurants in Crystal City instead of this kiosk if you want a full meal for a similar price. The service was fine, and the Water Park itself is a very pleasant dining venue, but their take on this dish is... pretty awful. They really should go back to the drawing board on this.

Great food! Awesome portions. It's window service, and you pick a spot outside if you're not taking the food home. All good. The heat lamps were going and the tables were clean. Great experience overall.

The spring rolls and wings were a good snack. This Thai restaurant is a great add to the neighborhood and is close to the VRE and metro.

The food here is fantastic. I got the tofu wings, thai ice tea, and tofu Panang curry. I was skeptical of the way the tofu wings looked but the sauce to dip in was soooo good. The curry was fantastic and I liked how they put the sauce in separate container so customer could determine how much sauce to put on the food. The ambiance was also very nice with a pretty water feature. The only reason for four stars is because at least five people that ordered after me got their food before me.

For under $70 two people can have crab cakes benedict, fried brussels, crispy French toast... I don't even remember. Like ten different things! I didn't have to eat again until 9pm. The food was great! Vinny, who was our handler (clearly he has training in special education or something because we that table. Or maybe the TIPS trainings have advanced to include messy brunch people) was fun, patient, and knowledgeable. This is THE SPOT for brunch on Sunday.

Unfortunately, service started off on the wrong foot. There was a very large party already on the patio, and I was seated behind them. I waited about 12-15 minutes before the rest of my group arrived, but no server ever came by. We decided to head inside to get re‑seated, but couldn't find a hostess anywhere. We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.

Reservations were easy to make, we were seated very quickly, the chairs were comfortable, and the ambiance was beautiful. It is hard to beat a rotating restaurant and the views it offers. The food was excellent. We tried the prix fixe Cherry Blossom special, which included a choice of short ribs or salmon, and both were very good. The specialty drinks for the occasion were excellent, the desserts were very good, and the overall experience was memorable. My only concern was the service. I am not sure whether it was because it was late in the evening, but our waiter seemed very disengaged. For a restaurant that presents itself this well, I would expect the service staff to be much more attentive and invested in the guest experience. We would return, but I would prefer not to be served by him again.
