    Happy hour food menu

So, maybe it's just me, but I don't see what all the negative fuss is about here. Yes, it's a bar inside a hotel, but that's not the end of the world. I came here for happy hour recently (having exhausted many other non-chain options in the area) and was pleasantly surprised. They have a very long and rather extensive happy hour menu. It lasts M-F 3:20-7:20 and includes a variety of $3 foods and $4 drinks. My fiance and i were able to have a snack and a few rounds rather cheaply. The atmosphere was pretty modern and standard for a hotel. There's the typical dark wood, dark metal, and glass decorations. It had a number of bar stools and two-tops as well as a few booths to sit in. Our waiter was very friendly but not as attentive as he could've been. We were left looking for him several times, including for the bill. Yes, it's easy and convenient. But not really a spot I'd take my out of town friends.

Small bar, lots of tables around the sides. Usually quiet. Vast majority of the crowd are hotel guests. Several TVs. Sometimes the service is great sometimes not. Sometimes dreadful. Good drinks although they don't carry Hendricks. Seven beers on tap plus a few standards in bottle. Not much of a single malt selection. Around a dozen different wines by the glass but nothing remarkable. No port.

Staying at the Marriott and stopped in here for a quick bite at 8:30. I ordered the Fish and Chips and was pleasantly surprised. Quality cod deep fried to a perfect golden brown and very good fries to match. All for under 20$, I highly recommend this place if you're in the hotel.

Bell 20. Rob Hicks and I know well. Nor our favorite, but will do in a pinch.

Excellent service. The staff is superb. Stay here if you can. Devil's Backbone is the way to go.

Not bad for a happy hour special... You get what you pay for..$3 appetizers were OK..chicken wings were a little under cooked. Service was good though. I'd come back.

Six shrimp were in my shrimp Caesar salad for $18.

This is a small place with a bunch of tables nice and well kept. It doesn't look like the type of place locals hang out.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. His recommendations were on point, and his energy really elevated the whole meal. We kicked things off with the nachos, and they absolutely did not disappoint--loaded, flavorful, and the perfect start. For our mains, we went with the Cadillac burger and the Canyon Creek burger, both cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. One beef and one bison. You can tell they really take pride in the quality of their food. Also, the fries were fresh and good. The salt and pepper onions set the bar high. But honestly, the standout for us was the half sour pickles they bring out--so fresh, crisp, and ridiculously good. We loved them so much we had to grab some to take home! Between the incredible food and even better service, this place really knocked it out of the park. We'll definitely be back. I also meant to mention a gentlemen came by at the end of the meal to clear some plates. I believe he may of been a manager (wore a tie) and gave us the story of the pickles and how they were processed and came to be a part of their establishment . Great touch to end the meal!

Or I wouldn't tip at all. The burger was decent. Could've gotten a McDonald's burger that would've been better. So go at your own risk. The server was ok. Just don't understand how you run out of beer. If you are a bar in the middle of the day. In the middle of downtown. But ok.

Watching the cooks work was mesmerizing. They moved with incredible speed and precision, almost like watching a perfectly choreographed ballet. What amazed me most was that they hardly spoke to each other, yet every dish came together flawlessly. Every movement had a purpose, and every plate seemed to find its way to the right person without any confusion. Seeing our meal prepared right in front of us made us appreciate it even more. From the first ingredient hitting the pan to the moment it was placed in front of us, the entire process was fascinating. The food was fantastic, but honestly, the performance in the kitchen was just as memorable. If you're planning to eat here, I highly recommend sitting at the counter. I was the first to arrive, and got seated, as it was fairly empty for Thursday night. After 5 minutes or so, my friends arrived, and we got water. Ordering was a breeze, and It didn't take long for the food to come. I was so excited when it arrived, and The taste didn't disappoint at all! I'll be back to try some other things. They had some amazing looking desserts that we almost got, but ultimately decided not to. As others have said, it's the classic diner experience.

This is more like a restaurant since they will assign you a seat. I came here during breakfast and I really really enjoyed all their dishes. Everything is on the QR code with additional side dishes at the bar. If you hold a Capital One Venture card, everything is free, otherwise each guest is $45 I believe. All my food and drinks were brought to me very fast. The ambiance is very calm and had the same vibe as any other lounge. It is a great place to do some work while getting delicious food. And yes, I would say the food at Capital One Landing has been much better than any of the lounges I have gone to so far (at least domestically). I really hope they expand Capital One Landing to other airports as well. So dar, it only exists in DCA at D.C. and LGA at NYC.

I personally prefer the DCA landing because the airport is much smaller so it's more convenient for me. After they've removed guests from accessing the lounge for free, it's hit or miss still whether there will be a wait. Usually I'm still able to get in in time before my flight departs but I do wish they were more efficient with the seating. Now that they only allow the cardholder, I ended up sitting at a booth for 4 by myself and same with a lot of other people and that's why there was a wait. The food is always amazing though. They switch up the menu slightly but for the most part there are the same staples that hit every time. It's a very nice, calm atmosphere before getting on my flight.

For early morning flyers, they offer a continental breakfast from 5-6am, but be aware that the hot breakfast buffet doesn't get fully set up until about 15-30 minutes after that window. The biggest downside for me is AMEX's updated pet policy--only service animals are allowed now. The lounge has always been my go‑to when flying out of DCA, but since I often travel with my pets, I've had to switch to other lounge options because of this change. On the plus side, charging outlets are plentiful and easy to access at almost every seat, except in the dining area. Staff members are consistently quick about clearing dishes, which keeps the space feeling clean and comfortable. The restrooms are modern, spotless, and well maintained every time I visit. A small tip: the elevator is *very* slow, so if you're able, take the stairs--it's much faster. Overall, it's still a good lounge with solid amenities and a relaxing atmosphere--when it isn't crowded. If not for the updated pet policy, it would be a five-star experience for me.
