This is the bar / restaurant inside the Holiday Inn. The bar is great. Great bartender and service. Decent beer list. You should absolutely come have a few drinks here. The food and table service... Meh. Now, granted, we had a large group. And I'm sure that wasn't exactly easy for our server. None of us liked what we ordered. And that was even if you received what you ordered. I never even got my food. Poor quality and poor experience.

Went for my birthday dinner while in town for a convention and everything was great! Happy hour pricing is fantastic so make sure to come during happy hour! I can't find yuca fries a lot of places but they had them here and they were perfect!! Definitely a great place for a casual meal or a celebration!

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and got a breaded buffalo chicken sandwich instead. It as ok.

Slow service and average food was my experience. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and got a breaded buffalo chicken sandwich. Was just okay. Nothing special about the place. Unless you're staying in the hotel, I don't recommend it.

We ordered the "Potomac Social Tavern Burger", this is what we got, lol

After a long day of travel we decided to just stay at the hotel and eat. Not the best decision! The menu sounded appetizing, but when the food came out, it was anything but. The food that came out was not as described on the menu. We ordered a burger that was supposed to have swiss cheese, crispy onions, truffle butter, and all the fixings. We got a plain ol' burger with cheddar, lettuce, onion, tomato. We also ordered nachos and paid six dollars extra for chicken-not much chicken. But on top of that, what little cheese there was, was not melted and they left off the aioli that was supposed to be on it. The cook came out and said the burger was how we ordered it. And we said we ordered what was on the menu with no subs/changes. She blamed it on the waitress. She was trying to push the issue and press us to order more/different food. The reason for the 2 stars was because the waitress was really sweet and accommodating-even after being blamed-by the cook-for the bad food. I would stay away from this place.

In the name of "research" and "building my list" of Irish bars (please visualize me making the Chandler from Friends hand quotes here) I checked this place out. It is right in Crystal City down the street from the Sheraton and not too far from Legal and Ruth Chris. If you having dinner at either of those places or one of the other tasty spots close by, I would recommend this place for drinks beforehand or after wards. O'Malley's is your typical Irish pub type place. They serve American food, not Irish. Bummer. Big cheese factor- on the menu the items are listed with corny names like "Leprechaun Wings" which are just chicken wings. This is a great spot to watch a sports game, especially if is NBA or NCAA hoops (which the crowd leans towards). They have high def televisions, dudes.

Inside the Holiday Inn. Staff is friendly but not very fast. Place was pretty slow even during opening game of the World Series. Limited selection of draft beer although they do have nice glassware. Interestingly, 1/3 of the people at the bar as customers were actually Irish but none of the staff were. Seven bucks for a 12 ounce Sam Adams. It is not bad but I wouldn't enthusiastically recommend this spot for people not staying in the hotel.

This restaurant sits right next to the Holiday Inn property and is their lunch / dinner venue opposite their Fresh Kitchen breakfast establishment. Despite the Irish name, none of the staff are that I could tell, but that's more of less what I expect around the DC area. The bar area was packed with visitors the night I arrived, so it was on the noisy side if you're looking to conduct a business meeting, but a welcome white noise when you're traveling solo for work. My waiter didn't speak very much but he seated me right away and was nothing but kind throughout my stay. The wait staff monitor the dining room from behind the bar, so you have to catch their eye and flag them down to get a re-fill, but I prefer that kind of service versus having someone hovering at my table. I hadn't eaten much that day so I ordered the Shepherd Pie, which is huge for only $10. It was still bubbling when it arrived at my table. It must be rich, as well, because I felt quite heavy the next couple of days but has a great sauce and tender meat with vegetables crowned with equally flavorful mashed potatoes. It's comfort food at its finest but lots of salt, which I felt in my hands long after my meal! Every aspect of this establishment is solid, but it's not one that I'd likely visit unless I stay at the Holiday Inn again.

For under $70 two people can have crab cakes benedict, fried brussels, crispy French toast... I don't even remember. Like ten different things! I didn't have to eat again until 9pm. The food was great! Vinny, who was our handler (clearly he has training in special education or something because we that table. Unfortunately, service started off on the wrong foot. There was a very large party already on the patio, and I was seated behind them. I waited about 12-15 minutes before the rest of my group arrived, but no server ever came by. We decided to head inside to get re‑seated, but couldn't find a hostess anywhere. We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.

I asked for a Cherry Wheat and had to point to the tap a few times before she got it. Ummm......it says "Cherry Wheat" right on the tap..... The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because of the beer. I mean, how can you go wrong w/ a Boston Lager, Cherry Wheat, Nobel Pils, or Summer Ale? Its much much better than the beer they offer at any other place in the airport. Quick tip: Save yourself the trouble and wait of ordering food here. Theyre just going to call your order over the the deli thats, literally, 5 stops across the aisle.
