It was a nice little walk to the brewery because the plaza is nicely maintained and decorated. The service was great. We ordered pizza and it was Bianca pizza. I don't think this specific pizza comes in the Detroit deep dish style pizza. I was disappointed since I really wanted to try that style, but I favored the Bianca pizza. It was still a tasty pizza and we finished it all. I'll have to come back to try the pizza deep dish style.

Food is very average, would not return for the food. However the limehawk beer was delicious and would return for the beer. There are lot of tvs for watching sports. Prices are average. Employees were friendly. Overall, not super enticed to return but also not a bad place to stop in for a beer if in the area.

    Pizza, really.

Fun place to catch a game. Smoked wings are yum. Pizza? Should be good, but somewhat ruined by salty cheese mixed with salty dough leading to an overly-salted pizza. Unnecessary error. Interestingly, salt aside, the pizza has actually improved with a better crust.

Just tried the new calzone last night and it was fire! Really hit the spot, and paired it with some meatballs and buffalo wings, the trio was excellent! Service and ambiance were great as alway:)) thanks!

Is this the Max's From Saved By The Bell? It gives off that vibe! Spacious. Retro. Clean. Nestled in a little shopping area with lots of parking options all around. Nighthawk is liking stepping into the past but in a great way! Bar sating, high top seating, long low seating and then these weird high seat picnic tables? (Tough for the kids who wanted to be near the video games- heck tough for my 42 year old body!) Order via the QR code. Chicken wings, well done with blanch. Blanch- their mixture of blue cheese and ranch. I can share with you as a blue cheese lover- it was more ranch and that means it's a no for me. Wings were ok. The Detroit style pizza... Great cook and crisp! Perfect balance of sauce to cheese ratio. Only thing... I am not a big fan of chunky sauce and maybe needed a little seasoning. It's not bad but could be a little better. Water stations throughout the brewery. Plates? who need em? They have little pizza trays out to use as plates. Need a box? They have them all around for those leftovers. I had an Orange Crush because when in Maryland you do as they do... It was not too strong of an orange flavor. Well balanced and refreshing. I would Crush again. Cool place.

Cool spot in Arlington VA- stopped with my family to meet up with my sister and her family. Cool 90's esthetic with a very casual atmosphere. The ordering system is all on the app and easy to navigate. We got some pizza, Detroit style. It was very good, and timely. The beer was solid, check out the IPA selection. Overall a very good stop.

Redeemed! I had a so so experience the first time here maybe 2 years ago, but it's much better now. I would say their standard cheese still needs work. The burgers, sandwiches, and white pizza are quite good. I like their take on chips. The staff is friendly and will let you take a sample of a beer before you commit. Overall, much happier that there has been some improvements in the kitchen.

Pizza is 3 stars, not quite Detroit style as it was round and has potatoes on it and was more Jersey tomato pie but hand crossed crust and not super impressive. Now the menu says they can be either hand tossed or Detroit but didn't at then. The beer was great and ambiance is nice and retro. Service was quite friendly.

I had a taste for some pizza and was looking for a place that wasn't going to break the bank. I stumbled on to Nighthawk, as it was referred to me. The pizza and wings were good, and the food came out rather quickly. The pizza took more time to come out, so plan accordingly. The staff were great in that aspect. As far as the ambiance, the restaurant reminded me of one of those family restaurants that we used to go to when we were kids in the 90s. It's a mixture of sports bar meet Chucky Cheese. So the ambiance was a little off putting, but once you get past that, it was cool. One last thing, if you're sitting and eating at the bar, the staff will ask for a card to put on file. They'll even swipe it, before you even settle up. So if you plan to use cash or paying through a reward program like InKind, plan accordingly.

I would love to gatekeep this place because we are obsessed. From the Midwest and I love my cheese curds and nighthawk delivered cheese curds that are Midwest standard. The fries were ok, nothing special, the wings are pretty good and a great ranch. We had been looking for a good Detroit style pizza in the DMV and this place is the best hands down. We build our own and do pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey. If I could change one thing it would be to add more ricotta and hot honey, they don't add much. Usually when we do take out I won't add the hot honey because I'll do it myself at home which is fine. Atmosphere is fun and cool since it is s'est yourself and order on your phone. Staff is super nice and helpful. Highly recommend if you have a big group or want a casual place, we absolutely love it.

Came back after a while and tried their Detroit style pizza and cheese curds. They're available on inKind and I had a credit I was able to use. The cheese curds were ok, but the pizza was good! Very cheesy and the crust was crispy. We ordered online for takeout and it was ready pretty quickly. It's so close to us that I could see this becoming a spot for us to grab quick takeout pizza.

Spacious and kid friendly, is what first comes to mind. The customer service aspect of things was essentially nonexistent. I feel like the extent of the waitress' conversation with us was "hot and honey pizza". There was no "how are you doing" or "would you all like water". It gave more self service, which may very well be the concept here. The pizza wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything to rave about. So maybe "average" would be the most befitting word. Nonetheless, it did the job.

Each order comes as one large deboned piece of meat, which is then cut into bite-sized pieces--easy to eat by hand or with a fork. They're available in a variety of flavors. I ordered them dry and got several sauces on the side to mix things up. Highly recommend. Seating - The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating. There's just as much indoor seating as there is outdoor, and possibly even more inside thanks to the bar and high-top tables. It's a great spot to start your night, end your night, or enjoy happy hour with friends after work. Service - For a bar, I thought the service was really good. Multiple waiters checked in on us, and we never had to wait for water or anything else. The recommendations they gave were great, and they stayed attentive throughout the night--even though it was moderately busy when we went. Pro tip: Be prepared to sit inside if you're hoping for a meaningful conversation--the street noise outside is quite loud. Between the main thoroughfare and the neighboring restaurants in the same alcove, it can get pretty noisy. If you value good conversation, you'll definitely want to opt for indoor seating. Pro tip: There isn't much parking in the area, so give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes when planning your visit.

And fortunately, I found one that was perfectly right and proper! Before entering, Right and Proper had me won over with their outdoor mural paying homage to Duke Ellington and a who's who of local DC jazz heroes. Upon entering, I was even more blown away by their elaborate and wild indoor murals, especially the dog & cat bathroom art, and the EPIC animal battle centerpiece! Since I came towards the end of their night after the Brewers pizza party at Andy's Pizza, I wasn't particularly hungry. But I did make note of their cheese counter, where you could purchase offerings like Midnight Moon, Willoughby, and Morbier by the plate or to go by the pound. They also had a good selection of handhelds, appetizers, dinner, and brunch offerings. However, the best thing might be that, during the unpredictable government shutdown, they had the option to pay a meal or a beer forward to a neighbor in need. I also managed to enjoy their Brussel sprouts that delivered a pleasant umami bomb with its sweet Thai chili sauce and crushed peanuts. For beers, they had a right and proper mix that went beyond the IPA overload, while also having good ones like their Big Tomorrow west coast IPA. Their flights came at a reasonable price and allowed me to enjoy offerings like their Haxan robust porter, Senate Maerzen Marzen Oktoberfest style ale, and Super Carina Italian Pilsner. Factor in all of the above and a good selection of brewery games and table spaces, and they had everything I look for in a solid brewery!

I went with the Thai Chicken Wings and my friend had the Burger. Both were perfectly fine "pub grub"--solid options if you're hungry while grabbing a drink, even if they didn't necessarily steal the show. They're reliable, standard bites that pair well with their tap list. The Service: This is where Right Proper really shines. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which is exactly what you want in a local haunt. You never feel rushed, and the service keeps the good vibes going. While the food was a bit middle-of-the-road for us this time, the excellent service and neighborhood feel make it a place I'll keep coming back to. It's a great spot to catch up with friends, enjoy a unique house beer, and soak in the local energy.

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender.
