Clarendon Irish pub with a divey feel. Live music and more of a late night crowd. Fish and chips was a good portion size. It had a nice crunch. Fries were average. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good place to grab a beer.

As a die hard Steelers fan, I love a place where I can watch a game and sit in agony for three hours while the Steelers woefully underperform. And O'Sullivan's is the perfect place to do it! This restaurant makes a real effort to make yinzers feel at home. The food specials are good, the wait staff is awesome, and the ambiance is so much fun. I liked the Primanti sandwich (although nothing compares to the original iykyk) and the pretzels rocked too. Hope to catch a win next time but I probably won't lol go Steelers

Met some friends for a post work dinner. Was happy to see we made it right before hh ended. They offered a few $7 food specials which we took advantage of by getting: beef sliders, buffalo chicken dip and fish tacos. Everything was very tasty and really filling. Staff was nice and it was a great seating arrangement outside.

My family went here for the Steeler-Bengals game on Saturday. This place was full of Steeler fans! It is very loud but the atmosphere and the food is outstanding. The wings are delicious-very crispy. I split the Reuben sandwich with my mom and it was super tasty. My boyfriend got the Guinness burger which is a beef patty atop mashed potatoes slathered in their Guinness gravy which is phenomenal. I asked for a side of it to dip my fries in. We got the IC Light bucket that was on special - 5 beers for $20. The bloody Mary's are quite good too. We will be back again for a Steelers game. Our waitress, Olive, was excellent-she is actually Irish too!

Slow but friendly service, however I cannot deny the size of the fish and chips that I was served. Old-time club feel and good amount of TVs for watching sports.

I went for the hot old Fashioned and my boyfriend stuck with the traditional hot toddy. The drinks were decent, a bit pricy ($15 each) especially with other bars in the area offering hot drinks. However the service was great, we grabbed to seats at the bar and there were tons of regulars, which is always great for newbies like us! I did enjoy the atmosphere and would definitely come back for their food options!

The food here is amazing and great selection of beers and the coffee and espresso drinks will keep you up. My friend loves their fish and chips and you can share it with a friend as it is huge. I love the lamb sliders and shepherds pie. The guiness meatballs were hard and I would skip them and order fish tacos instead.

Happy hour Monday - Friday 4-7! Fun atmosphere and good food. The batter for the fish and chips (and fish tacos) is so light and crispy. It was lovely!

A wee pricey for lunch for us on a regular basis with the portion size. 2 Lunch orders, 1 beer in a plastic cup, was a little over $70 (not with tip). Probably a one and done for us.

The process from start to finish was easy and everyone I spoke to was so kind. I received advice on the menu and the best way to do the drinks. On the day of the event, I confirmed the details and we showed up ten minutes ahead of time to add some personal decorations. We had the slider package, mac and cheese, onion rings, artichoke dip, and baked potatoes. Everyone raved about the sliders (my dad's personal favorite was the reuben one - he had four). My mom, an onion ring fan, was very happy. There were only good things to say about the food. The bartenders were extremely attentive to the party and there was never a build up at the bar. They offered a cake hold. They brought it out when asked, had the candles lit, then whisked it back to cut it and bring it back out. If you need a lot of hand-holding, having all the perfect touches or a million options to pick from, or 'event planning' kind of help, this may not be your place. But if you want to have a chill, fun evening with lots of wonderful food and good drinks, great service, and a fun atmosphere, I would recommend Four Provinces.

Not special, but reliable, with something on the menu to please anybody. It's not our first choice for food (this isn't exactly a chef-driven restaurant), but if you like Irish fare, they do a respectable job with all of that: corned beef, bangers & mash, lamb, fish & chips, etc., plus burgers and "bar food"-level salads and the like. Samuel Beckett's deserves extra points for NOT raising prices to the same degree as some of its Shirlington neighbors. For a table service restaurant these days, it's a greater value than it's ever been, and that's much appreciated.

We shared the Irish baked brie. This was tasty but definitely could have been warmer. I had the Lamb Stew as my entree. It was just OK. I'll select a different entree if I return. My friend had Shepherd's Pie which she enjoyed. She also ordered the bread pudding. I had a bit but it was too sweet for me. We did enjoy the ice cream that came with. Karlen, our waiter was attentive, and offered to split the cost of our appetizer. Much appreciated!

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage on DoorDash, fully expecting the usual takeout roulette: soggy cabbage, tired meat, and a mild sense of regret. Instead? I got hit with a full-on Irish blessing disguised as dinner. The corned beef was so tender it practically whispered "top of the mornin'" and fell apart on command. No knife, no effort--just fork, bite, and immediate life improvement. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked like someone back there has ancestral pride on the line. And the cabbage? Listen... cabbage is usually just there for emotional support. Not this time. This cabbage had purpose. This cabbage had ambition. By the end, I wasn't "finishing my meal"--I was chasing the last bites like I'd just spotted the end of a rainbow. Container: empty. Dignity: questionable. Satisfaction: unmatched. If this is what survives a DoorDash trip through Old Town, I'm convinced eating it fresh in the pub might unlock hidden Irish heritage I didn't even know I had.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.
