My son and I were in town with friends to see a capitals game. This bar was next to our hotel. We stopped in to have a drink and ended up staying a few hours. It is a nice place. The atmosphere is fun and the wait staff were nice. The appetizers we had were good... and they had a microbrewery red ale that was excellent!! I imagine that parking for this place is a bear but if you can get here on the metro or are in the area... try it out! This is a fun place to hang out.

Stopped into Ragtime for a couple drinks and a quick bite to eat. Food hit the spot. Drinks were delicious. The staff were friendly. The place was busy with the sports games on tv. At times, all the bar stools were taken and there was standing room only. I feel this would be a great spot for Sunday football. I am excited to see what this place turns into come Mardi Grad time! Can't wait to pop in here for Fat Tuesday celebrations!!

Nashville Chicken Sandwich Delicious and spicy

Wonderful service from the waiters both were very kind, cool outdoor seating area in the front of the venue with nice mellow music. Wish I came last night for drinks as the bar had beers on tap and more louder music for a good time. Had the Nashville Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Spicy and sweet with the pickles on soft potato bread with a side of waffle fries. Nice and crispy and lots of flavor. Def would come back again as their menu had a good variety of selections for both food and bevs.

Chimichurri Steak Sammie with Tator Tots

I genuinely feel like the bread was made fresh for this sammie, it was delightfully crunchy and full of real flavor. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the Chimichurri flavor paired amazingly with the melting blue cheese. I savored every bite and used the paired tator tots to pick up anything that fell out of the sandwich. I ordered online and the meal was ready to go early. The restaurant itself seemed lively for the middle of the day, I'm sure they've got a great crowd.

Very cute neighborhood bar that I overlooked until the other day! It's really a lot more spacious on the inside than it looks on the outside and I have yet to try food, but bar service was pretty good. The bartender asked a lot of questions about how I liked my drink and tried to accommodate me without me having to ask ! Very casual setting, good for friends... need to return to try some of their food options!

Wings and sangria

Service: we had a large party in the back room. Our waitress was great. She was quick to check up on us and made adjustments when I asked. Awesome service! Food: I got the wings with Nashville Hot sauce. Ok - the wings came out sauced?!? It looked more like a dry rub. The breading was nice and crispy but I was perplexed about the SAUCE. Our waitress did bring out some on the side for me to dip. The sangria was good but on the sweeter side. I had to order a glass of red to cut down the sweetness. Ambiance: I'm just gonna go ahead and admit that I am BOOGIE. Most of the places I go to are more on the high end (Tysons area boogie). I've been to a lot of your typical bar so this is that. Nothing wrong with it but just setting expectations. Ragtime has been around for a long time so that says a lot about the service, location, and convenience of getting there. I have 4 stars because service was great and I had great company. I probably would pass on the food and just order beer next time.

Rock Time is great. The food is really good. Service is fine and the ambience is good. I recommend coming for trivia on Mondays. Good food New Orleans vibes.

Food was okay. In town for a couple of days and this was next door. They have different things going on each day, trivia when we came. Staff was pleasant and helpful, atmosphere a little noisy but when trivia was over it was quieter... going again tonight for dinner..

It was okay. I only ordered fries and jambalaya! It was a lunch time saver. I didn't pack lunch and thought I'd make it through the day. Wrong! I called and my meal was promised in 5 minutes. The fries were different. Almost like the were fried frozen. No salt little taste. And the jambalaya was spicy so I couldn't really enjoy it!

Ragtime is always a local favorite for me, offering a diverse menu that includes seafood, New Orleans staples, and a basic brunch. It's a place I can always count on for a solid meal, no matter what I'm in the mood for. Food: Cheeseburger // Recently, I tried their standard cheeseburger for the first time, and it was great! The patty was cooked medium, the cheese was perfectly melted, bacon was not as crispy as I would have liked but that's a personal preference Pecan Pie // I also had the pecan pie, which they bring in from Acme Pie Shop. It was very good, especially when paired with a scoop of ice cream. The pie had a rich, nutty flavor and a delightful, flaky crust. Service and Atmosphere: The service is always quick and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere is lively, with a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. Overall, Ragtime is a reliable spot for a delicious meal with great service and a vibrant atmosphere.

Buffalo chicken tenders, waffle fries, sautéed green beans and chicken kabobs!
Meghan L.

Great food and ambiance! The buffalo tenders had the perfect amount of kick, the sautéed green beans weren't too hard and not too soft; perfect! The chicken kabobs come with 2 and the chicken is so flavorful on them. Looking forward to coming back and trying out some more options.

Solid. While there's limited parking by the restaurant, there's a parking lot a block away so no issues. Waitress was very nice and attentive, and ensured she checked on us regularly. The atmosphere was not bad and I can see hanging with friends here. The food was good and certainly worth trying. I had the chicken and waffles, which was very good. My son the fried oysters, which he enjoyed. And my wife the wings, which she really liked.

Had a sampling of apps and salads, along with multiple cocktails. All were good. Loved the soft pretzels with pickled onions.

I can see how reviews can swing both ways for Arlington Pub. It is, after all, a hybrid craft beer…read morebar and coffee bar in the upstairs of the Clarendon Whole Foods. So I'll pose this questions to my fellow beer hunters. What matters to you most ... atmosphere of the bar, or an excellent selection of craft beers on tap, including a few that are hard to find, at rock bottom prices. If you are in the camp of the latter, then you will love Arlington Pub. I stumbled upon Arlington Pub a bit on accident. I was in the area and had heard lots of great things about Galaxy Hut and wanted to check them out. I got there about 4:15PM and found their door locked. Having to REALLY need to use the bathroom, I decided to hop across the street to Whole Foods, take care of business, and then figure out a place to kill time until 5PM. As I headed upstairs towards the restroom, I saw that my search for a place to kill time would be over quickly. Behold Arlington Pub. They had recently had a tap takeover from Oskar Blues Brewing, the brewery best know for Dale's Pale Ale. Tap takeovers are a great way to find and sample beers that you rarely see. In this case, it was the excellent Ninja Cow ESB. I found it a bit dark in color for an ESB, but had that characteristic ESB smoothness. They were on the tail end of the tap takeover, so some of the OB brews were tapped, but had been replaced with some interesting options. They offer a flight, so I decided to sample a few of the other OB offerings - their 10 Fidy Imperial Stout and Gubna Imperial IPA. I also threw in selections from other breweries - Sump Coffee Stout from Perennial and Allagash Curieux, a Belgian Tripel aged in Jim Beam bourbon barrels. These are all VERY strong beers, but the flight pours were generous, and there was no upcharge on the strong brews. The flight, normally $5, was $4 for happy hour. And prices like this is what makes you forget that you are enjoying cheap craft beer on the top floor of a hipster grocery store. My pint of Ninja Cow, normally $3, was a dollar off for happy hour. Throw in a double espresso to finish off after the flight, and my tab was under $10. And the bartender/barista actually functions as a checkout cashier, so there is no need to tip and no place for tipping on a credit card transaction. (I didn't ask if they were allowed to take cash tips ... I didn't have cash, so it was a bit of a moot point.) So if you can get over the fact that the this is a bar on the upper level of Whole Foods, you'll find Arlington Pub is a great place to kill some time and enjoy a great selection of craft beer at insanely cheap prices.

All the other Whole Foods have a much better Beer & Wine selection and are far more cleaner. The glasses all have lip marks and the tables have chunks of old food and are sticky ALWAYS! There are also numerous surveillance cameras & the lighting is extremely harsh above the bar which I find very odd. It's a shame because I love eating & having a drink or two at Whole Foods for it's a comfortable place to be alone & not feel like I'm at a meat market. I now many times go to the Fairoaks location which has lower nice lighting, is clean and has a great atmosphere.

My husband is a die-had Arsenal fan and was overjoyed by the chaotic bar scene he encountered as soon as he entered. The City + Arsenal game had the entire bar packed with fans from both sides pulling up random seats wherever there was a free space. We came a bit late into the game but found a seat in a quieter area of the restaurant that still had good television access. With the dreary rain outside, it felt like we had settled right in a proper British pub! Food wise: - For my husband: Wings were generous, grilled, and delicious with interesting flavors - For me: Fish and chips were light, flakey, and came with some of the best house cut fries I've ever had. - For the kiddos: Although they had a kids menu, my daughters decided to split some pancakes (basically crepes with raspberries and cream sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Portions are more than generous and the managers were bustling around, talking shop, and thanking everyone who walked through their door. We will definitely be back!

For under $70 two people can have crab cakes benedict, fried brussels, crispy French toast... I don't even remember. Like ten different things! I didn't have to eat again until 9pm. The food was great! Vinny, who was our handler (clearly he has training in special education or something because we that table. Or maybe the TIPS trainings have advanced to include messy brunch people) was fun, patient, and knowledgeable. This is THE SPOT for brunch on Sunday.

There was a very large party already on the patio, and I was seated behind them. I waited about 12-15 minutes before the rest of my group arrived, but no server ever came by. We decided to head inside to get re‑seated, but couldn't find a hostess anywhere. We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.
