Chicken sausage and morels
Jeff W.

Clean, not a ton of seating, easy parking in the neighborhood, and I think your best mini Seattle chain pie in town. And they do slices! If you're in NW Seattle, this Pags location is awesome, easy to get to and same nice crispy but not too floppy crust and they really have their rotating specials dialed in. Pic is a slice of chicken sausage and morels special, delish!

Visiting family on Halloween, we decided to make it easy and order pizza for dinner. Pagliacci was recommended and they delivered, so we decided to try them out! Ordering online for delivery was super easy. Once the order was submitted, we were quoted a delivery time and it had a tracker to let you know when your pizza was being prepared and when it was on the way. I wasn't sure if Halloween would be busy, but our pizza arrived right on time! The delivery guy was very nice. We got three 13" pizzas: cheese, pepperoni, and veggie. All of them were very good! Lots of cheese and toppings. It was more than enough for five of us, we had basically an entire pizza leftover. I'd definitely order again!

Large All meat

I enjoyed the thin sliced New York like pizza. We got a pineapple, sausage, pepperoni, plain cheese, all meat, and a pepperoni pizza. All four large pizzas cost us $150 before tip. High priced is what I thought. The sausage slices weirded me out. I prefer Italian sausage crumbles. I think my best bet was sticking to plain cheese or a regular pep. Probably won't go back.

Ding dong! Dinner time!

How thankful I am for Pagliacci Pizza. I don't know how I could have made it through 9 months of pandemic living without my favorite Italian pie producer! Whenever I can't decide what to make for dinner, or if I've I arrived home just to pooped to prepare the repast, a quick call to Pagliacci puts and end to the prandial problem. Honestly, I've been ordering from Pagliacci twice or three times per month since this "whole thing" got started. Pagliacci has been a lifering around my house with nary a disappointment nor complaint. On Fridays, the vegetarian spinach and roasted garlic "Italiano" is our usual order. Other days, I request to add prosciutto if the "Prosciutto Primo" is off the menu. Their seasonal special, the "Mushroom Medley," with chantrelles was also just smashing. Caesar with anchovies is the salad of choice on Fridays, and yes, you can order those fishies on the side if you like. Just imagine romaine lettuce coated with creamy housemade dressing as the perfect vehicle for Macrina Bakery's big, buttery, crispy Parmesan croutons. Yummy scrummy! Other days, the Pagliacci salad is a true Italian delight. Fresh lettuce, garbanzo beans, diced red peppers, kasseri cheese, and salami and red onion (chopped into wee bits) all get tossed with housemade vinaigrette dressing, resulting in a winning salad that is satisfyingly stout. Contact-less, at-home delivery that features no-touch and no-signing at drop-off means that you stay safe and socially-distanced. Oh! DId you just hear that? A ding-dong of the doorbell followed by a knock on the door means it's time to eat. Excuse me, but I need to go get the pizza from the entryway and wave good-bye to that nice delivery-driver. Big air hugs to you, Pagliacci, with gratitude and a tip of me hat. Thanks to you, we're all going to get through this! P.S. I'll be having a nice slice o'pie in the morning for breakfast, too.

Italian 1/2 salad. YUM

Pagliacci has always been good, but this location gets a 5 stars from me because of an awesome experience. Boyfriend and I were going to see my friend sing a few miles away at the Seattle Musical Theater, but did not plan very well.. we were starving and figured there would be lots of casual places to eat close nearby. Umm, there aren't. So we're frantically looking for a place to stuff our faces (so we don't sit for 2.5 hours on an empty stomach! the horror!!). Walking into Pagliacci, we had exactly 45 minutes to order, eat, pay and get to the show. Telling the guy behind the counter this, he advised us not to order a pizza - it would take a least 25 minutes to come out w/ the people ahead of us. SO he recommended their delicious Italian salad and breadsticks. He put the breadsticks "on rush" for us and personally delivered them the second they came up, split the salad into two bowls, plus sodas on the house because we had been stressed running around. So sweet!! Plus it all tasted great. We had a great meal before the show and extra breadsticks to take home. :) Thanks Pagliacci!!

Pesto is the first word in this misleading pie.

Getting worse. For $30 and with a name like "Pesto Primo," I expect there to be more than the merest drizzle of the PESTO. You know, like the very name of the pizza suggests. I won't risk this location again, despite it being closest in proximity.

Verde Primo Pizza (Small 11")

Pagliacci pizza is a pretty good pizza and I understand the reasons why it's been around Seattle so long. The crust is somewhat dense allowing for the toppings to be held in place and makes for a good base. Normally, I'm a crust eater, but didn't want to waste stomach space when the toppings are good with the crust. Ordered the original cheese and the Verde Primo. It tasted fresh and the tomato sauce is good and the verde tasted of yummy garlic. The artichokes plus goat cheese was really good. I really enjoy that the included containers of parm cheese and red peppers are super fresh like someone had just shaved the cheese. None of that packet garbage. I liked the cool Sasquatch print on the box too.

"Margherita pizza" $29.86 1 hour wait for delivery. I felt violently angry each bite. How could they do this to pizza?!
Maki S.

Does this look like it's worth $29.86? I'm incredibly shocked that we waited an hour for delivery FOR THIS. Delivery tip is included but guess what? When you sign, it leaves an "option" for a second tip while the delivery person watches you sign (The delivery woman seemed nice enough, I must add for some balance, though). We're convinced that this pizza was cooked an hour before it was actually delivered. It was dry. It was luke warm. And when you look at it can you tell what it was supposed to be? I couldn't. It's supposed to be the margherita Napoli style. My heart broke with every bite. Maybe it's good hot and fresh in person. I will never order delivery from this place again.

Pagliaccio Salad ToGo

On April 3, I ordered a Pagliaccio salad and centioli, it arrived and looked amazing. I like this salad, but hate the bitter white ends of lettuce, so I was picking them out as I plated my food. Luckily I'm picky af or I wouldn't have found the long black hairs in the middle of the salad until the were stuck in my mouth. I immediately called and offered to send pictures, which were declined. The person I was speaking with offered a refund. A couple days go by and the refund hasn't processed, so I call back, am told the whole amount will be returned along with a gift card. I told the person it won't get used because I only order the salad and that's not going to happen for a while. The person reassured me the refund would be processed immediately. Four phone calls, several emails and two weeks later I still haven't received a refund, but have heard every excuse imaginable; management is looking into it, your emails were received, accounting will process it qhen they return or it must have slipped through the cracks. Pagliacci was my favourite place to grab a salad on the way home, now it's just another disappointment with poor customer service and lack of follow through.

UPDATE: They did it again! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we ordered from Pagliacci only to have the driver hand us the pizza and say, "This one's on us. Thanks!" I don't know another pizza place that does this, so I'm sticking with these guys! Original post: I recently had a bad experience with another pizza chain in Ballard. They only tried to make amends after I posted a 1-star (and totally honest) review and their "public relations manager" saw it. I like to try different places around Seattle, and I have to say that I have never been disappointed with Pagliacci. It's not the cheapest pizza, but it tastes pretty fantastic, and they have, by far, the best costumer service around. After my experience, above, I called Pagliacci in hopes of better luck. Not only did I get a great pizza and really nice people to take my order and deliver it to me, but I was also surprised at my door with a card that said, "THANKS! This one's on us! - Pagliacci Pizza." My jaw hit the ground as the delivery man just smiled, shook my hand, and walked away. It's rare to see one company unknowingly make up for another company's blunder by offering superb service with a smile. It's really as simple as understanding that both the employees who work at the business and the customers are all just human beings who just want to be treated as such. Thank you Pagliacci for recognizing that.

Four of us shared a mixed salad & kale salad, and a special pizza & yukon gold potato pizza. First of all, the salads were good contrasts. The mixed salad had a tart dressing, and the kale salad inc calabrian peppers and a creamy dressing. Both salads were very pleasing. Likewise, the special pizza was well thought out with the meat, cheese and sauce combo. Secondarily, the yukon pizza contained nice, fresh potatoes. Both pizzas had good chars from the wood fired oven. They only have two desserts, and I was surprised to see coconut cream pie that is made on site. The crust was nice and crumbly, and there was a ton of toasted coconut shavings. Despite being full, I could have eaten the whole slice of pie by myself. Regarding the ambiance, its chill here. We didn't need a res @ 6:30 pm on a Fri night. There is a full bar, and most of the patrons were locals. Lanti was a super nice waiter, and very knowledgable about the menu. He and his team were super friendly and on top of things. I look forward to staying at the Westin nearby again. Karin has taken care of us countless times, whether it's a quiet Monday or an absolutely packed one due to the events at the town hall across the street, and they have always been warm, patient, and accommodating. I actually celebrated my birthday here because it's one of my favorite spots. I am part of the large group that one of the recent negative reviews is referring to. It happened immediately after the USA FIFA match, and the restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it. Despite that, Karin still went out of their way to accommodate our requests that normally wouldn't be possible due to the rush, including trying to help with separate tabs when they'd already explained that large groups would likely need to stay on one check. As for things like grabbing water, silverware, plates, or chili flakes...our table had already gotten those before a majority of the group arrived. It's a casual pizzeria, on one of their busiest days ever. Setting and cleaning up the table (especially when seated outside) is not a problem for our group as we do it every week. Which is why it's upsetting that we opened our spot to someone that left such a nasty review. What stood out to me wasn't poor service. It's that despite how overwhelming it must have been to work post-FIFA, Karin was able to take orders, bartend, serve food, and close out checks with professionalism. Sometimes no matter how much effort someone puts in, not everyone leaves happy. The pizza is fantastic! I love showing up every week and trying what new slice they have come up with (in the year that I've been coming here there legit hasn't been a repeat). The atmosphere is great and the staff, especially Karin, have earned our loyalty over the past year. We'll absolutely continue coming back.

The crust has that perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and the toppings are generous without turning the slice into a mess. You can tell they actually care about what goes out of the kitchen. I came in curious and left already planning my next visit. If you're a pizza person, this place belongs on your list - and if you like a little kick, the Jalapeño Face is the one to get.

I don't know if I've ever seen larger pizza than this place. Larger doesn't always equate to…read morebetter, but I just have to start by mentioning the size - it's really something to behold. A slice is literally too long to eat with your hands. You need to eat the first part with a fork and knife before it's even holdable. I have had bigger slices before - but never a full, non-takeout, pizza this big. It's 20 inches in diameter. We had two pizzas - where each one was split into two different kinds of pizza - so four in total. Cool that they allow you to do that, but it does cost more than having just a singular pizza all of the same type. The slices were double cut to make sharing easier. The only one that I liked was the jalapeno face pizza, which managed to achieve a facsimile of a jalapeno popper pretty well. The cream cheese here really stood out; it's not something you see on pizza very often at all, but it really worked here. The pineapple was also awesome. It was missing some heat from the jalapenos though - there could've been a lot more of them. This one was the only pizza that was actually cooked to a good level on the underside, and held its shape pretty well. It had some firmness when biting into it. Unfortunately, the other three half-pizzas were undercooked and floppy. The underside was practically a light brown rather than the dark brown / bordering on black you need to see for this style. If the attempt here is NY-style pizza, it's just a pathetic excuse for the most part. The weight of the toppings just collapsing in the dough is not what you want to see. The indian-style pizza just didn't work - mint chutney, onions, and bell peppers just tastes odd on a pizza. With the truffle pizza, the amount of potatoes was just way too excessive, and there was very little actual truffle flavor. The red sauce pizza didn't have anything wrong with the toppings, but again suffered from the lack of charring I mentioned earlier. You do get a lot of food for the pizzas. I'd say for 5 people - one full pizza and one half pizza should be enough - around 25 per person or so. At least the price is reasonable. Overall, the novelty of the size and odd flavors is cool in theory, but the quality is simply not there. 6/10

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs.
